DI Andy Horton is called out to examine a gruesome catch by two fishermen: a human hand. Is it that of missing violent criminal, Alfie Wright – or is he the killer? And where is the rest of the corpse?

Soon Horton finds himself immersed in a complex case where everyone has a reason to lie and no one is who they seem. Assailed by doubts both in his personal and professional life, Horton desperately tries to keep his emotional feelings under control and his focus on his work. His instincts tell him to trust no one and believe nothing; he’s not sure, though, whether this time he’ll succeed . . .

DI Andy Horton gets a call when fisherman bring in a catch of a different kind – a human hand. Who does it belong to and where is the rest of the body? Doe the hand belong to missing criminal Alfie Wright? Di Horton is determined to get to the bottom of the case, but the deeper he digs, the more lies and secrets he uncovers. He begins to doubt his own judgement in affairs both professional and personal, and a police officer who can’t trust his instincts is as good as dead.

Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to read this entertaining book!
This is another in the Andy Horton series, and once again DI Horton has to investigate a gruesome murder. The only catch is (see what I did there....), is that there is ony a hand. There is no body yet.
So who does the hand belong to. Is it actually a crime? The whole book was written in a fast manner, and it was highly addictive to try and figure out how the body was murdered and who the killer was!!
The plot unfolded nicely and I really hope that there might be another book featuring my new favourite character!
