What a tangled web of lies and deceit. Gina's life will never be perfect again, she lost her young son in a tragic hit and run road accident and now her beloved husband has gone missing after leaving home to go to the local shop. Her only comfort is her daughter Hannah who has unexpectedly returned from university mid term saying little of why she has come home. Gina thinks it's the death of her brother and not knowing what has happened to her dad but could there be more to Hannah's problems. This is a brilliant phycological thriller. Thank you for the ARC.

Having lost her son, Jacob at the age of 11, Gina's world is further torn apart with the disappearance of her husband, Rick. The words' secrets & lies' kept running through my head the whole time I was reading this amazing book. A true 5* read. Love Samantha Hayes' books - you are always guaranteed a whirlwind of feelings!
One to recommend to family & friends.
My thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

This book certainly kept me gripped and I couldn't put it down. A taut nerve tingling story about a missing husband and some dark family secrets. Several times throughout the book I thought I had worked it out (my amateur detective skills unfortunately aren't that good as each time I thought I had "sussed" it I found out I was wrong). Samantha Hayes has a real talent for writing a book full of tension and twists. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for my ARC copy. 4.5 stars

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC copy of In Too Deep in return for an honest review.

Sam Hayes has a talent for weaving the perfect psychological thriller and she's hit all the right notes with this new offering. There is so much to unravel that it leaves the reader wondering how all these components can possibly be stitched together.

The big reveal at the end is an amazing crescendo after the dramatic and nervy build up.
Fantastic read!

I am grateful to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy of this book, provided in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

This is a 'wow' book, one I could not put down, a definite 5 star read. The storyline centres on a missing husband, and I was drawn in right from the start. Whilst there were a couple of things I guessed, there were plenty of secrets and lies within the plot to keep me gripped. Just when you think you understand every character, there's something else thrown into the mix!

It's hard to say much about this book without revealing any spoilers. What I can say is that I enjoy Samantha Hayes' writing style and the pace at which this story unfolds. The plot is well thought out, and the characters are credible. I've read this author's work before and have never been disappointed, so I eagerly await her next offering!

An amazing, gripping thriller! I have had a run of really good books but this wins hands down. I had to sneakily read at work from my phone as could not wait until tonight to find out what happened! A dark, twisty, turny story with great characters and a really deep and disturbing in all the right ways plot. Right until the end I could not figure out who had done what or why with all the secrets. A massive 5* from me. Highly recommended.

Thanks TBC for my copy of this ARC in exchange for my review. As always Samantha Hayes delivers. Yet another fab little read for this superb author. This tells the story of Gina and her daughter Hannah - a few years back Gina lost her beloved son in a car accident and now her husband has gone missing. The police have done all they can to find him but have no new leads and no sightings. Gina is convinced he is still alive. She recieves a call from a hotel - her husband book a room months ago for her - she decides he would want her to go and takes her daughter with her. This story flits from past to present as you find out more about Hannahs life at uni and Gina's life with her husband. Things seem to be going brilliantly when Gina meets susan , the owner of the hotel - they have a clear connection and establish a friendship. But there is something drawing Gina to susan and she is not quite sure what it is yet. You will have to read this book to find out exactly what is going on. What is Hannah upset about, why would gina's husband just disappear and what is the importance of susan to gina?

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review. From very early on it was clear that this storyline would include lots of secrets, twists and turns. Every so often I felt like I knew where it was heading and then it turned again.
The author cleverly weaves a well written plot with interesting characters. A gripping suspense that keeps the reader guessing. 4****

If you like tense psychological thrillers, then this one is for you. Gina’s world is turned upside down following the loss of her young son and then the disappearance of her husband. The only thing that keeps her going is her daughter Hannah and she’s not coping too well herself..... This book messes with logical thinking. One minute, I thought I had it all worked out, then the story moved in a new direction and had me guessing again. Compelling but distraught read.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Many thanks to THE Book Club (specifically Tracy Fenton) and NetGalley for my advance copy in return for an honest review.
Forget everything you’re expecting when you pick up this book – it’s just completely unexpected from every aspect! It’s about Gina’s lovely husband Rick, who goes out one afternoon to get a newspaper and never comes back. After the death of their young son Jacob, Gina can’t believe her husband would deliberately disappear. After four months with no sign of him, however, the police have let the case go cold despite Gina’s desperation.
Then she receives a call from Susan, owner of a beautiful country hotel, saying that Rick had booked and paid for an anniversary surprise for them at the hotel. She decides that she’ll take their teenage daughter Hannah, home from university, with her as the break might be just what they need. But Hannah has brought home her own demons and is struggling to maintain an outward show of normality as she realises that her secrets could destroy both her and her mother.
Told from the alternate perspectives of Gina and Hannah, and moving seamlessly between the present and the recent past, this is an extremely fast-paced, very cleverly constructed, multi-faceted story. Is it about bad things happening to good people? Is it about good people making bad choices? I’ll leave that up to you to decide … I think that might be what the author intended. It’s psychological suspense at its best, as you teeter on a knife’s edge, not knowing who to trust.
Try and read this slowly so that you take it all in. You probably won’t be able to. Just remember, as you’re racing through the pages, to breathe!
4.5 stars from me.

I love this authors novels and I know when I pick up one of her books that I am in for a highly enjoyable reading experience and In Too Deep is no exception.

In Too Deep is a story filled with love, lies, secrets, betrayals and so many twists. that it left me reeling.

The story flicks between mother, Gina, and daughter, Hannah. Both women are trying their best to carry on with their lives even though they have not long since lost a son and brother and more recently are having to deal with the disappearance of Rick, husband and father.

To be honest I really don't know how both women are even functioning with such great losses in their lives. The further into the story we go though it isn't long before we realise that neither are really coping, especially Hannah.

When a surprise booking suddenly arises at a lovely hotel, Gina thinks its the ideal opportunity to spend some much needed bonding time with her daughter as well as maybe discover more information about her missing husband.

At the hotel though, things take off in a whole new direction. It's obvious that things are not quite what they seem but trying to put your finger on it was so hard.

In Too Deep certainly messes with the readers mind and had me questioning and guessing everything. At times I felt quite smug as I guessed certain things before Gina did, but most of the time the author wiped that smug grin straight from my face as I thought the story was headed in one direction only to suddenly swerve in to a totally different one.

Another gripping read that will hook the reader from beginning right up until the very end.
