I don't remember how I ended up in the icy water but I do know this - it wasn't an accident and I wasn't suicidal.
They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but when you're a teenage girl, it's hard to tell them apart. My friends love me, I'm sure of it. But that doesn't mean they didn't try to kill me. Does it?

Local Queen Bee Tasha is found in the local river, and rescued, but only after being clinically dead for 13 minutes. With no memory of how she got there, she withdraws from her usual circle and reverts to childhood best friend, Becca. Though Tasha can't remember what happened the night she ended up in the river, she feels her former inner circle had something to do with it. And she wants Becca's help in unravelling what happened that night.
Absolutely chilling and masterfully woven, edge-of-the-seat YA thriller about the deceptiveness of appearances and the complexities of teen friendship. The writing is authentic, and descriptive, and oh so clever crafted to keep the reader in a constant state of flux.
I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book.
It's about a girl, Tasha, who dies for thirteen minutes. She's a popular 'barbie' and the main one in a trio. Becca is her estranged best friend from many a year ago. Anyway. Tasha lives and when she does she's suspicious of everyone as to how she got in the water, and enlists the help of Becca.
So. Halfway through. You find out everything. At least you think you do. It all adds up. It is a big twist. Shock. Horror. Etc. But!!! More twists to come. Like another layer!
Couldn't put this down. It's got the 'gone girl' twists etc. Just with more layers.
Definitely recommend
