Description
Benton was a quiet, peaceful town, at least until Witney Foran moved in.
Then the rustling and the lynchings started, with Foran threatening to take over the whole territory.
Backed by professional gunmen and the so-called bounty hunters who operated on the fringes of the law, he foresaw no trouble.
The sheriff of Benton was an ageing lawman, afraid to go up against any gunmen, and thus giving Foran free reign over the town.
There was only one seasoned gunfighter to lead the townsfolk in their stand against tyranny – Frank Condor.
But Condor is a man running from his past and he’s reluctant to start any trouble with Foran’s gunslingers.
Then the Macey brothers kill Slim Edwards, Condor’s best friend, reigniting his thirst of revenge.
Can he save Benton from Foran’s menace?
Or will it never be the same again?
Praise for John Glasby
