So, this book was fabulous! I've read a couple of this authors books before, but this one is going to stick with me for a while - that ending!! Just brilliantly written, executed perfectly! I just can't wait to find more out about Emily.. & obviously the rest of the cast! :) I had a couple of problems getting into my net galley account :( I was approved for an advanced copy of this book, but I just couldn't wait so I ended up just purchasing it anyway! I honestly would've paid more! Seriously can't wait for the next instalment & thank you for picking little old me! xx

5 stars for Hard Rules, what an explosive start to the series.
Intense, gritty and sexy as sin. I was drawn in by not only the storyline but the characters and their dynamics.
The dual POVs worked well and added a great deal of detail to the novel and gave both Emily and Shane more depth as characters.
The plot was well thought out and the secrets that are left unsolved had me intrigued throughout and of course the relationship between Emily and Shane was plenty hot.
My attention was captured from the first page right to the last. My only real complaint would be having to wait for the next book, I'm so excited to see where Lisa takes these characters.
