Nothing prepares police inspector Karl Vollen for what he sees on his work computer screen.

Beamed from his infant daughter’s bedroom is the live stream he set up to watch over her.

He looks on powerless as a masked intruder snatches baby Nadina and leaves teenage child-minder Anniken for dead.

Karl’s wife, Marte, witnesses the same shocking scene at her workplace and is already ahead of him in their dash home.
