Description
All eyes are on Yonaga…
The Japenese supercarrier Yonaga is the Navy’s largest battleship.
Led by the ancient Admiral Fujita, it has been trapped at its secret port by a sliding glacier for the 42 years since World War Two ended.
The global terrorist threat has grown due to the bloodthirsty army of Arab fanatics led by the ruthless Moammar Kadafi, seeking world domination and to destroy their western enemies.
Now is Yonaga’s chance to become the most powerful weapon in the world, due to its revolutionary orbiting Chinese laser system which disables all modern aircraft.
Led by a fierce force of samurai fighters with sworn loyalty to The Emperor alone, they depend upon the teachings of the Hagakure to guide their morals and actions at war.
The Samurai on board the Yonaga and the antique submarine, Blackfin, face racial and leadership differences, with extreme violence towards prisoners and each other.
Can they stick together and destroy the enemy before they turn on each other?
The enemy has island bases within easy striking range of Yonaga's Tokyo Bay haven, and a powerful collection of carriers, cruisers and long-range aircraft.
But, Yonaga has a fleet of customised destroyers and of course the mighty Blackfin.
Will they prevail against the terrorists? Or will Yonaga face its final trial?
Trial of the Seventh Carrier is the sixth book in the Seventh Carrier series, following on from Attack of The Seventh Carrier.
Peter Albano (1922-2006) was a US writer who served in the US Navy 1942-1946. He is known mainly for the nine-book Seventh Carrier sequence of military adventures staring the World War Two Japanese aircraft carrier Yonaga.
