I finished reading this book at 2am – I was so tired but I simply couldn’t stop reading! This book is genuinely the most compulsive, twisty and thrilling book I’ve read in a long time!

I requested Behind Her Eyes because I’m a big Sarah Pinborough fan but also because I kept seeing the hashtag #WTFthatending and I was intrigued. I read a lot of psychological thrillers and so often can see the ending coming so this book felt like a bit of a challenge – would I be able to figure it out? The answer is a resounding no! As I was reading I would feel like I was on the cusp of seeing what was coming but then I would be proved wrong every single time. I then got so caught up in the story as I was reading and as it was happening that eventually I wasn’t even trying to figure it out, I just wanted to know how the whole mess of these three peoples lives was going to end!

This book starts off with David and Louise having met in a bar, and then the next day at work it turns out that not only is he her new boss, he’s also married. Louise can’t help but be intrigued by David, and in turn by his wife Adele when they bump into each other in the street one day. Then so begins a novel where the three parties lives become more and more intwined, and more and more twisted, and eventually you are so engrossed in the novel that you have no idea what will happen next.

I have to mention that the title of this book is so completely and utterly perfect, there is a line in the book that brought that home to me and then when I reached the climax of the novel I had a wry smile to myself. Perfect, perfect, perfect!

This novel endlessly shocked me, and I loved that! It’s rare to find a novel that is genuinely dark and twisty and messed up but this is that novel! I will be recommending this book to everyone… along with the warning that you may never sleep again once you’ve read it! My heart was racing so fast when I got to the end that I couldn’t fall asleep for ages but that shows what a brilliant and unique thriller this was.

Behind Her Eyes is due to be published on 26 January 2017 in the UK and can be pre-ordered now!

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

OMG talk about some tangled relationships. This book was one of the best psychological thrillers I have read in a while. The characters all have issues and Adele is particularly twisted.

Sarah Pinborough has written a well developed, well thought out plot with a few twists and a mind blowing finish.

There is Adele married to Dr. Martin who is trying to save her marriage but a lot lies under the surface of this beautiful woman.

Dr. Martin is extremely unhappy, drinks too much and is stuck in a situation he can't get out of and he does want to get out of it.

Louise is a single Mom and rarely goes out but the one time she does starts a nightmare with severe consequences.

Anyone who likes thrillers with warped relationships and a shocking ending needs to read Behind Her Eyes. It is truly an exceptional read.

If you only ever read one Sarah Pinborough book in your lifetime, make it this one, but after reading this I defy anyone to not seek out everything else she's ever written.

At the beginning of a lazy Sunday, I thought I'd pick up my ARC of Behind Her Eyes, and read a few chapters before getting out of bed and beginning the weekend chores. I never did get out of bed, and the chores never got done. By mid afternoon I was finished, and sitting there stunned with one of the biggest book hangovers I've had for a long, long time.

It was brilliant. Never has a hashtag been more appropriately coined to cover a book in so simple a way. I sat and said WTF out loud as I closed the final pages. Expertly written, I defy anyone to see that ending coming. I can spot the clues now, as I sit back and think back over everything I've read, but they were so skillfully interwoven into the story I just missed every single one.

Buy it. Buy it NOW. It's going to be one of the biggest books of the year and you don't want ANYONE to spoil that ending...

One of the most highly anticipated books of 2017, Behind Her Eyes certainly lives up to the hype.

It's difficult to talk about the story as there are so many twists and turns I don't want to give anything away. The characters are wonderfully crafted, and so unlike any characters I have come across before.

The ending is a huge talking point already, before the book is even out. It even has its own Twitter hashtag (#WTFthatending FYI)!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who like thrillers, especially psychological, character driven ones.

Louise falls for David but realises too late that he is her boss and married. She becomes friends with Adele who is David's wife. What a mess! Louise has to juggle her blossoming relationship with David and friendship with Adele. Before she knows it she's in too deep, things begin to unravel and Louise is unsure who she can trust.
The ending will leave you gobsmacked.
