Description
Chantal ran away from home to escape her abusive father. Now she’s on the run again.
She is wanted by the police in the suspicious death of her pimp boyfriend Nick.
Hector and Carlos are on their way to the home of Vancouver kingpin Jake Cappalletti with ten million fake U.S. dollars when Jake suffers a stroke.
Marty, Jake’s heir apparent, tells Carlos and Hector to hold the cash until the situation stabilizes.
But Carlos is the kind of guy who’d use a pair of bolt-cutters to liberate a shopping cart rather than part with a quarter.
And Hector would rather risk paying prostitute Chantal with Jake’s counterfeit twenties than spend his own hard-earned cash.
With Jake set to recover and demanding his money, the pair discover that not only did they pay off Chantal with traceable cash, but they paid her off with hundreds of dollars.
Now Chantal’s running from the cops…and Carlos and Hector.
Detectives Jack Willows and Claire Parker are called in to discover who really killed Nick and soon find themselves searching for Chantal.
They also have problems, but will they be able to solve any of them?
Fast and full of action, Funny Money is a thriller that keeps you guessing.
