A dark and intriguing mystery thriller that had me hooked from the start. I really felt for Florence and everything she was going through, and I felt her character was well written with just enough of her backstory drip fed at the appropriate time.
The crime detective side of the story was well researched and I enjoyed following the clues to try to beat them to the final conclusion of the book, but it did not hold my attention as avidly as I hoped it would.
A good book, worth reading. Very well written

I didn't care for this book that much. It takes some weird twists and turns and I'm not a huge fan of suicide either attempted or accomplished as a plot device. Especially when it's for the reasons given in this book. I have read another book by this author and liked but not loved it. So I'm not sure if it was only that particular plot device that I disliked or if the author just isn't for me.
