Thank you Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC in exchange for my honest review. This was an enjoyable book.
I struggled to finish the first chapter of the book. I could not get into the characters and the editing was all over the place.
I wasn't able to finish this book. It didn't capture my interest right away and I ended up putting it down and not picking it back up.
Looking for a quick fun read...……..Step forward to the Executive Floor.
Looking for lots of romance...…….not much for sex scenes..... this book is a good read.
Thanks NetGalley and Troubadour Publishing Limited for the ARC.

Oh lordy this book. Welp. The theory of this book was great and I wanted to love it, but this didn't work for me. This is my first read by Belinda Wright and I just felt like......ghdkjfsla;kjfdls;kjfdksl.
First of all, I don't think this book was balanced out well at all. There were many spots that could have been removed. Like, a lot of spots. And this book is not really that long.
We start off meeting Granger Carmont -- who's in a 'relationship' -- and it's made clear that this dude is not one who settles down. He has a model 'girlfriend' who's moving into his apartment and he's not on board with it. But then he meets Chantelle and he's secretly moving her in? I'm confused?
Then we meet Chantelle Moulier, who's an intern at Granger's company -- Granger Finance -- and once she's introduced to Granger, the only thing that's ever talked about with her is that she's French. Okay? Cool? There also seems to be some secret huge barrier between France and the U.K. that I just don't understand or find believable.
Granger and Chantelle immediately hook up -- obviously -- but the language between them seems so cold and formal that I found myself not being able to read through the whole sentence. UGH. The dialogue really made some of my brain cells die; I wanted more.... angst. chemistry. connection?
Then randomly, there's a creepy AF flatmate who opens the bathroom door to watch Chantelle shower. HUH? And what does Granger do? Pushes him onto a couch. LMAO. *I couldn't make this stuff up guys*
I really feel like there wasn't enough information given to me in this book. Instead, we just got dropped into random moments and we were forced to figure it out on our own. I DON'T LIKE THAT. This book just didn't give me the feels that I was really hoping it would.
Just wow, great book lots of romance and secrets, confusing lust and a creepy roommate to like to take locks of door to do a little peeping. Love is strong and provides each other with closure
Chantelle is an intern at Granger's company. She is nearly at the end of her internship and then she meets him.
He wants her, but it's against his own rules.
Fast paced and enjoyable read.
I received this book as an arc from Netgalley.
Good enough book to get you out of the real world for a while.
I loved this story!
It is a feel good romance that can easily brighten anyone's day
It is very well written and it has good attention to detail and a great cast of characters.
Five stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!!
3.5 stars for this book. An interesting romance of boss meets intern and can't stay away. Chantelle, however, is facing the end of her employment and is struggling with her next step in life.
I enjoyed the romance and the story, but the ending fell a little flat for me. It felt rushed and we learn some secrets and then talk of what will be done, but even the too short epilogue didn't shed light on how certain aspects of the story played out.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.
Cute, fun, quick read. Enjoyed it for the most part, however, I felt that the author could have done more with character development and gone deeper with the characters. Would have enjoyed seeing more of Granger's inner thoughts and turmoil over his past.
Great book. Typical billionaire man meets pretty girl love at first sight book.
Granger is the DM of a large firm and young beautiful Chantelle is the intern. It’s love at first sight. Of course something goes wrong...you know the storyline.
But this one has depth, there are a couple turns and twists, the writing is lovely and all and all it’s a nice easy read. I enjoyed myself.
While I did enjoy the book enough to finish it, there was a lot of issues with this book. The first was that I felt like the characters were underdeveloped. And the love story, in general, was not very flushed out. I had no idea why or really even that they were in love with each other.
My other issue was the "obstacle" that the characters had to overcome, it was pretty dumb and could have been solved with a simple phone call.
The story did have a good pace and with a little bit more attention to the details, it would have been very enjoyable.
ARC of The Executive Floor received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
My first read by Belinda Wright & I really liked this author’s writing style
I was immediately drawn to the cover & brief synopsis!! Looked like it would be my kind of read & it certainly was 👍👍
Great book - it checked a # of my personal “boxes” 👍 for a really good office romance :
Billionaire/ Corporate setting
Age difference between characters
Smart - sexy heroine
Self made millionaire/ bachelor / playboy
Sexy chemistry
A bit of angst
HEA ❤️❤️
Granger is definitely a bit jaded bachelor- a self described workaholic who doesn’t even realize his latest girlfriend has moved into his place until she decides to move out - leaving him with her dog she no longer wants to care for …
Chantele is an intern working as an analyst at Granger Finance - with her contract ending & no job in site she needs to make a decision about “what’s next” … it certainly wasn’t a chance meeting with Granger.
This is a fairly quick read & the relationship developes quickly also between the two ! Loved these two characters together!
Great read - loved it !!
A cute book about romance and all. You will like it to admire it in a way unexpected romance is admired. Life is not a flower full of garden it is full of spins though taking the track initially it takes you to show how it can be changed though.
Enjoyed reading Chantelle and Granger love story. There’s an instant attraction when they meet. They are both not looking for a relationship however the more time they spend together their feelings change. There are secrets, misunderstandings that challenges their relationship and future. THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR by Belinda Wright is a contemporary, adult romance story line focusing thirty-five year old managing director of Granger Finance Granger Carmont, and twenty-three year old intern analyst Chantelle Moulier.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Granger and Chantelle) THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR follows the building but forbidden relationship between thirty-five year old managing director of London’s Granger Finance, Granger Carmont, and twenty-three year old intern analyst Chantelle Moulier. Chantelle Moulier’s internship at Granger Finance is about to expire but there are no potential prospects on the horizon. Working late finds our heroine face to face with her future, her boss, and the man with whom she will fall in love-Granger Carmont-a man of mystery but a man whose womanizing reputation precedes his introduction. Several late night rendezvous and a mutual like of dogs, and one dog in particular will pull Granger and Chantelle together as their attraction to one another grows and blossoms. Needing a dog sitter while away on overseas business, Granger offers Chantelle his place for a week, a week wherein Chantelle will discover not all is as it appears to be. What ensues is a series of misunderstanding, secrets and lies that will push Chantelle out of Granger’s life, secrets and lies that Chantelle has trouble accepting
The relationship between Chantelle and Granger is a workplace romance; employer and employee, forbidden relationship that Chantelle desperately tries to keep hidden from everyone at work. Granger’s need for Chantelle pushes our hero out of his comfort zone, a zone that is about to get complicated with the return of someone from his past The Sex scenes are limited but somewhat detached and non-emotional.
We are introduced to several of Chantelle’s co-workers, one of whom is aware of Chantelle’s relationship with our story line hero. Granger’s ex-girlfriend, desperate for attention, works her way back into his life, pushing out heroine our on her proverbial a$$.
THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR is a quick read; an engaging, entertaining but predictable story line of forbidden romance between the boss and employee. The drama and conflict is limited but spread throughout the story line premise. The romance needed a little more excitement in order for the reader to feel any real palpable sexual attraction.

Unfortunately, I couldn't finish this book. And that was as much my fault as the book's fault. The dialogue was not smooth, and characters were not using a flowing language that happens in real life. I couldn't finish the book based on the "damsel in distress." The first time the "hero" mentioned the "heroine" was "fragile," I was done.
2.5 stars
This book was not spectacular, the plot was predictable and not really original. Still, I definitely enjoyed reading this book. The only comment that I really have is that some things really did not make any sense.
Thanks to NetGalley and Matador for this advance review copy. The Executive Floor is a fast paced, steamy, romance that I very much enjoyed. While the plot is fairly predictable, I enjoyed the characters. The sex scenes are brief and not overly descriptive which I appreciate. However, their romance kind of came out of nowhere and I would've liked more progression before they went at it. A little bit more of a wait to create some tension would have been better.
