A book full to the brim with action, intrigue, and the perfect level of suspense.... this book had me hooked from the start. The characters were fascinating, and the storyline was brilliantly plotted out. A definite must read.

Great read was hooked from the first page to the last page.
Have read a few James Patterson books over the years and this book hit all the marks, thrilling, fast paced.
This book can be read as a standalone.
Jack Morgan is with his best friend and former marine when he is killed, his wife asks Jack to find his killer but with a link to a murder in Moscow Jack is on an international hunt to find out just what is going on.

I've been a fan of both James Patterson & Adam Hamdy for years. I was thrilled to see they were collaborating on a book. I was definitely not disappointed. From New York to Moscow it's a roller coaster of action, intrigue and suspense. I read this in 2 days and loved every part of it. I'd thoroughly recommend you read Adam Hamdy's other titles too. He's one of the best authors of this genre on the planet.

The head of a prominent private agency is contacted by a businessman, an old marine comrade friend, inviting him to take on a protection assignment at a function and to meet him afterwards to be briefed. Attending the function, the businessman at his side is shot dead. Spotting the assassin, he gives chase, but the man is a highly trained operator, with an organisation that ensures his escape. Trying to find clues to why his friend was killed; it seems that it was possibly to silence him for what he knew. The trail leads him to Moscow and the agency’s embryo office there. The mystery deepens as more people die for no apparent reason. A most exciting and complex story involving long laid plots to infiltrate and involve the highest levels of governments. The murdered old friend does leave clues that only an ex-marine could spot if only he was alert enough. A most thrilling and interesting read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for this review copy of Private Moscow (15) by James Patterson &, Adam Hamdy.
This is my unbiased review of the author's work and style. If you want plot lines and spoilers, please see the publisher's blurb and other reviewers' reports.
I have never read any of the previous Private Moscow series and I have to say it is unlikely that I will. I realise I am swimming against the trend here, but I can only report on what I read. The author’s protagonist is a stock hero out of the drawer and out of the 1960s.
As a TV series, suitably devoid of the perpetual hyperbolizes and with the dialogue crisped up it could make a four-episode thriller. In a book, the silliness of the yarn left me cold. In the hands of a master writer, the plot could have been well used and better presented.
Three stars and I am being generous.

Another great read by James Patterson - great locations, plot, characters , everything you need for a good pacy thriller that you can't put down. Would very much recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.

As expected from a thriller by Patterson this was action packed and fast paced. A real page turner moving the action between Russia and America in short tension packed chapters. Look forward to reading more in this series.

This is the first book in the Private series that I have read and I didn't feel that that mattered at any point in the book. The story is set between America and Russia, beginning with the murder of an ex-marine, Karl Parker, in New York which is witnessed by his friend Jack Morgan who runs the Private detective agencies.
This book is fast-paced and had a 'James Bond' style storyline with several parts making me wonder, who could possibly survive some of the things that happen.
However I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely read more in the series.

As usual the action starts on the first page until the very end. I couldn't wait to see what happens next. Recommended.

A fast paced action packed story. Very easy to visualise all the scenes. Acts of heroic bravery, far beyond the ability of everyday people, crossing continents, everything a thriller should be.

Now I will openly admit that when I received this ARC I actually had a little dance.. and then rang my mum in happiness Haha.
I am the biggest James Patterson fan, I've read 95% of his books and each one never fails to amaze me. Thanks to my mums reading choice and bookshelf, she got me hooked on them at around 11 years old and I've never looked back! (Thanks Mum)
I adore the Private Series and was really happy to see a new collaborator on the scene (I've previously read Pendulum by Adam Hamby). I loved the way that Adam's writing style also shined through on this one and pushed it into another direction from the rest of the series.
A story of espionage, international deception, assassinations and that underlying question of "are we what we present ourselves to be"?
James Pattersons character development is always spot on, they literally come alive and this book is no exception. The secondary characters seemed to take on a life and story of their own and bring even more interest to a riveting storyline.
This has got to be my favourite of the series and that's saying alot!! I don't think I took a full breathe throughout. Action packed from the very first paragraph.
I loved the fact that their was another strong, gritty female character in Dinara who still showed her vulnerability and her relationship with her second in command Leonid warmed my heart. Her backstory is strong yet it's her character and personality that shine through from the very beginning.
Once again Justine, Sci and Mo-Bot are cleverly written into the background yet still in the forefront. The investment James puts in the characters always shows, even more so in this read!
As all of the authors books the short, snappy chapters are always a bonus, always allowing you to quickly read "just another chapter ".
Whilst Private Moscow is the 15th in the series it could definitely be read as a stand alone so don't be put off if you haven't read the previous novels.
An exciting, exhausting espionage thriller that had me on the edge of my seat with it's high speed momentum.
A truly gripping, thrilling, atmospheric, action packed, heart thumping, addictively AMAZING read that have the biggest 5* I can give.
The highest thanks to netgalley and Random House UK for the ARC.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest, independent review.
Private Jack Morgan is invited by an old friend, a former US Marine comrade, to the New York Stock Exchange, to witness his company being launched onto the market. But just as the opening bell is about to ring, a gunshot rings out and hits its target.
As head of Private, the world's largest investigation unit, Jack is hired by the victim's wife to find the killer. But he discovers another murder in Moscow that is linked to that of his friend's, so heads to Russia and starts to uncover a consipiracy that could have global consequences.
I must admit, although this is the fifteenth book in the series, it was the first I had read by James Patterson. However, it will certainly not be my last.
Jack is new to me, but I found I was drawn in to the story, and character, quickly, and loved the suspense and tension of the book, helped by the short chapters. The build-up with fantastic, and it was like being right in the centre of an action-packed movie.
A little over the top at times, with no dull moments, but extremely entertaining throughout.

Another brilliant read from James Patterson in this series. The action starts on page one and doesn't let up until the end. Starting a cold and icy America you are soon transported to an even colder Moscow which has a Private office run by a female and an older retired policeman. Jack is there to help them but soon he is the one needing help and is amazed at how many people he can rely on. Political departments versus political departments sound as bad as you can imagine. Will Private Moscow survive to fight another day?

James Patterson never lets me down, Private Moscow is the latest in the Private series and it is just as good as all the other books in the series. I really looking forward to the next Private book.

An exhilarating read. The storyline kept me hooked throughout. All James Patterson fans will love this book!

Typical fast paced ‘Private’ novel,
Can be read as a stand alone which is great and it keeps you hooked from the start.
Easy to read and enjoyable.

This is the 15th book in the ‘Private’ series so if you’ve read any of the previous books you will know what to expect. If not, then you have been missing a great series.
Jack Morgan, the owner of Private, returns and as always trouble is always close by. Jack is invited to the New York Stock Exchange by his friend, Karl Parker, but suddenly Karl is murdered right in front of Jack. Who would want to kill Karl ? Why did Karl invite Jack to the Stock Exchange ?
Meanwhile is Russia an office worker, Yana Petrov is killer in a bomb attack. Dinara, the head of Private Moscow, is called in to investigate the murder. Jack soon finds himself in Moscow working with Dinara to find the truth about the two murders.
If you are familiar with the Private series this will not disappoint. As always it is a fast paced thriller that will have you racing through the pages. It has a bit of everything and you will be totally engrossed in the Moscow scene, full of conspiracy theories and secrets but will Jack get to the truth before it’s too late !!
Thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book.

Another fast-paced intriguing plot from the Private series. Although the Moscow office is very small it has two interesting characters in Dinara Orlov the head of Private Moscow and Leonid Boykov who used to work for the police. Starting off in New York where an ex former marine friend of Jack Morgan head of Private gets murdered. His friend leaves clues that only Jack can decipher which leads him to Moscow. Jack and Dinara chasing down the assassin in a Russian winter adds to the overall atmosphere that leads back to the States where they must chase down a high-level sleeper agent. The overall plot is just about believable, but the momentum of the book makes it a great read. I love the Private series and long may they continue to be written. Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this

The first Private book I've read, in fact the first Patterson, and it won't be the last! A very fast moving book, full of action and a few surprises along the way and even a smidgen of romance. When his friend Karl Morgan is murdered in front of him, Jack Morgan is hired by his wife Victoria to find out why her husband was targeted. It soon becomes apparent that Karl was not person he thought he knew and he soon uncovers intriguing links leading to Russia and suspicion of espionage. Split into a lot of small chapters made it very easy to read although it also made it easy for me to think I'll .just read one more. A fantastic read!

#PrivateMoscow #NetGalley You know when you pick up a James Patterson book you are in for a treat and this series is one of his best. Fast paced with lots of action and short chapters which make me want to keep reading 'just one more chapter' until way into the night! I love the character of Jack Morgan who will stop at nothing to see his task through to the end. I look forward to many more in this series. An excellent 5 star read.
