I'm so sad that this is the final book in the tea dragon series. These graphic novels have the most stunning artwork. It is whimsical, gorgeous, and showcases an incredible use of color. The story in this one does a great job of connecting the first two stories together. Overall, the story is filled with beautiful lessons about life and also grief. Interspersed throughout the story are sweet moments of romance that are so heartwarming. It is amazing all that O'Neill was able to pack into this graphic novel.
this was too sweet. i love the way these stories handle heavy topics, like grief and feeling like you've lost yourself. it's meant for children, but i think anyone reading it would take something from it.
I was so excited to see the next volume in the series on Netgalley. I had seen people reading the story and was inching to get back into this world I know and love. I honestly have to say this probably was my favorite volume so far. It dealt with a lot of sadder topics. I felt like in a way I could relate just with everything that has been going on as of late. I just really enjoyed how everything got resolved. It's always just so happy and relaxing reading these because the artwork is so beautiful. I also really enjoyed that the seasons this takes place is during fall and winter. So it had some real cozy vibes to it. I really do hope we get more books in these series because I love all these characters and just seeing the adorable tea dragons.
I love this series so much. I think Katie O'Neill's works are the cutest things i ever have seen. Everything about this was so lovely and heartwarming. Illustrations were so adorable. Everyone should read this series.
The Tea Dragon Tapestry is so beautiful! This whole series is beautiful! The art is amazing the characters are amazing and each time the story sucks you right in and you feel all the emotions of the characters. I had so much heartache as I was reading this book. I am so infatuated by this world. I can't wait to see more books in the series.
Another great addition to the Tea Dragon series. Katie O'Neill has created such a wonderful world and her beautiful illustrations really come to life on the page. This book deals with a variety of issues including believing in yourself, rediscovering your passions, and grief. I really loved this graphic novel and I think people from all ages will too!
Another whimsical and gorgeously illustrated graphic novel by O’Neill. This is book three in the Tea Dragon series and follows characters Minette and Greta deeper into their journeys. I love how O’Neill weaves tough themes into the story gracefully and leads the reader to think more critically. Once again I came away from this book with a grin on my face, a warm heart and a need for more tea and tea dragons in my life!
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher ONI PRESS Studios for allowing me to receive this E-ARC in exchange for an honest review!
THE TEA DRAGON TAPESTRY
By Katie O'Neill
Description
Over a year since being entrusted with Ginseng's care, Greta still can't chase away the cloud of mourning that hangs over the timid Tea Dragon. As she struggles to create something spectacular enough to impress a master blacksmith in search of an apprentice, she questions the true meaning of crafting and the true meaning of caring for someone in grief. Meanwhile, Minette receives a surprise package from the monastery where she was once training to be a prophetess. Thrown into confusion about her path in life, the shy and reserved Minette finds that the more she opens her heart to others, the more clearly she can see what was always inside.
Told with the same care and charm as the previous installments of the Tea Dragon series, The Tea Dragon Tapestry welcomes old friends and new into a heartfelt story of purpose, love, and growth.

I absolutely loved this final installment in the series! I love how diverse this series is and how inclusive the cast of characters are. I loved the journey all the characters went on in this story and I cannot believe it is over! I would recommend this series to anyone who wants a cute fluffy middle-grade with a lot of heart. It is so warm and also quite sad at times but it will no doubt brighten your day! I loved this and I cannot wait to see what's next for this author.
What a lovely end to the Tea Dragon series! O'Neill's art is gorgeous as always and the story is so lovely, while still feeling a little bitter-sweet. I will always read and suggest Katie O'Neill's books!
I've been a fan of the Tea Dragon series and to see it coming to a conclusion warms my heart with love while at the same time makes me sad to know that it's the end. Min and Greta are such sweet and caring characters that their trajectories throughout the story plus the drawings were heartbreaking, whimsical, and a blissful moment of reading that I will always cherish.
Other things that I adore too was the layered characters in general, all of them had their own story and own voice and own struggles, I always appreciate well-writing characters. GInseng's whole arc was so emotional and cute, that I couldn't put it down and wait for how it was going to end. I just love this little cutie pie, he's such a precious little companion to Greta.
ANd you know what's great? It's not actually the end of their stories, but the beginnings of their happiness and journeys.
I think the series of Tea Dragon books are among some of the most beautiful graphic novels I've ever seen. The illustrations alone are enough to move me emotionally, and The Tea Dragon Tapestry was no exception. This was another fantastic installment in a beautiful collection that actually had me tearing up at some moments. This book was so tender, encouraging, and welcoming that I fell in love with it immediately. There's a special place in my heart for stories like this with such fantastic representation and each of these characters was so wonderful. Truly a beautiful addition to the series!
This is an absolutely beautiful conclusion to one of the most heartwarming and comforting series I've ever read. This series feels like a warm, welcoming hug and a cup of tea (ha) with friends so close that they're family. The Tea Dragon Tapestry boasts some of my favorite illustrations from Katie O'Neill. (There are scenes that have a gorgeous blue/pink/purple palette that I could spend days staring at.) For a lot of this book, I wasn't enjoying it as much as the previous two, but once the book hit the main theme, it fully made me cry.
I'm sad to see the story with these characters and their tea dragons come to an end, but I so enjoyed their story and am so pleased with where everyone ended up. I love Katie O'Neill and will keep my eye out on anything and everything she comes out with in the future. <3
I was lucky enough to be given a free advanced copy from Net Galley to review.
This story is SO CUTE! I loved going back into this amazing and gorgeous world. Katie O’Neill has such an imaginative world. Her artwork is just beyond beautiful to look at, and I will read everything she comes out with! It’s absolutely amazing!
The story is such a wholesome story, and perfect for children of all ages! The other thing I love about this book, and this series in general, is how they all work together but you can definitely read then without reading the others. Some characters from past books show up, but you can still go into this book without having read the others and get an amazing experience out of it.
If you couldn’t tell, I really loved this book and I am so happy that I was able to read this copy. I LOVE her work so much, and strive to read everything by this author.
I adore how wonderfully cute these stories are and this third installment pulls the previous two fairly independent stories together and weaves a stronger narrative
I loved this book. It was a really fast read, but so captivating. The art is incredible and the story its so pure.
I really enjoyed the illustrations, but the story was a little slow. It was also a little confusing at times.
It would be difficult to laud enough praise for Kate O’Neill’s unique style. I have enjoyed each book that I find of hers, and this latest is no different.
The Tea Dragon Tapestry continues a visual and literary journey this author/artist has already begun, making this an ideal book and series choice to engage readers.
There is much here to enjoy for a wide audience, and I will continue to read new work from O’Neill. Highly recommended!
Minette is struggling with who she is and how to live her new life while missing her past. Greta wants to become An apprentice to a great blacksmith and is trying to help Ginseng be happy again after his loss. Both girls rely on the family and friends surrounding them and advising them to navigate through their concerns.
This whole series is full of so much heart. It was nice to see some familiar faces from book 2 and also neat to see how the characters have grown up and aged a little. The illustrations are as delightful and heartwarming as ever. I also enjoy the extra insights to the world of tea dragons at the back of the book after the story has ended. This a great graphic novel that is just really sweet and beautiful.
I absolutely loved this one! Another heartwarming story with beautiful art! I hope the author never stops creating these.
