Description

Join Greta and Minette once more for the heartwarming conclusion of the award-winning Tea Dragon series!

Over a year since being entrusted with Ginseng's care, Greta still can't chase away the cloud of mourning that hangs over the timid Tea Dragon. As she struggles to create something spectacular enough to impress a master blacksmith in search of an apprentice, she questions the true meaning of crafting, and the true meaning of caring for someone in grief. Meanwhile, Minette receives a surprise package from the monastery where she was once training to be a prophetess. Thrown into confusion about her path in life, the shy and reserved Minette finds that the more she opens her heart to others, the more clearly she can see what was always inside.

Told with the same care and charm as the previous installments of the Tea Dragon series, The Tea Dragon Tapestry welcomes old friends and new into a heartfelt story of purpose, love, and growth.

Katie O’Neill has perfected the art of created a magical escape in the form of a book. Every one of her beautiful works feels like a warm hug and a cup of tea on a cool day. It’s beautiful and golden. This book is no different. A sequel to one of my favourites, The Tea Dragon Society, this story finds our protagonists a year later, continuing on their journey of life. It is about understanding yourself and your passions and knowing yourself in the choices you make and the friendships you forge. This book is beautiful, and as sad as I am to see the story conclude, I know Katie will keep creating more worlds and places to feel like home.

A beautiful and heart warming story. The artwork was absolutely charming and so soft. I loved the theme of finding your place and that sometimes even though we leave a part of ourselves we can grow and create new homes. I found the story to be very endearing and I hope to read more about the Tea Dragons in future stories.

This was such a beautiful story, just like the other two Tea Dragon books. It's such an emotional story about a Tea Dragon who has lost their owner and how Greta tries to cheer them up. And at the same time the story of Minette trying to figure out what her life is and what she's supposed to do. I didn't think that Minette's story would resonate so much with me, but I'm kind of confused aswell. It's not even remotely the same as her story, but it really helped me. I really hope Katie O'Neill writes more Tea Dragon stories because I love them so much.

The third book in the Tea Dragon Society series is a heartwarming and welcome addition to a series that is lovely and touching. I have adored the other two books in the series and this book does a wonderful job of spinning a conclusion that feels whole and right. Once again Katie O'Neill's illustrations will have you sighing with happiness and joy. While their is no grumpy mountain chamomile that is okay because the other tea dragons shine in their own right. If you have a story about friendship, tea dragons, and finding your path in life, all the while set among dreamy illustrations, this book is for you!

Arc provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Another amazing installment in this world. Katie O'neill deserves all the praise for this wonderful, heartwarming story. This was a joy to read. The illustrations are beautiful and captivating. This is another heart-warming, whimsical story that I did not want to end.

This series is beyond anything I could have ever dreamt up. I could make a list longer than my arm of the ways that it is so, so inclusive and accepting. This is something that I highly recommend to everyone, whether it sounds like your type of thing or not, because I learnt so much from this that I never expected to. The illustrations in this are also to die for, the tea dragon as are the cutest little things!! I loved how this book wrapped the trilogy up,, and while I'm sad that it's ending, I know that this was the perfect way for it to conclude and I thoroughly look forward to rereading them all together!!

This series just keeps getting better it builds off of the other two book and I followed this one much easier then the first. I am in love with the illustrations. I could look at a 100 of these books. The story was one with merit it was about grief and feeling lost and finding purpose and I loved the over all theme. Fantastic book, not only for the pictures but also the writing.

I really love these books. I find them adorable and touching and absolutely beautiful. I loved the story of this one, about finding your own path and who you are when things change. It makes my heart melt and there is so much natural diversity which is honestly just perfection. I think everybody should read these books.

I can't believe this is over. It's one of the best graphic novels I've ever read (right beside Heartstopper). It's adorable, the illustrations are gorgeous and it talks about heavy stuff too such as grief, dissabilities and acceptance. Oh, I love it so so much. Even bought the trilogy for my personal collection.

The Tea Dragon series is probably the most wholesome this I've ever read. This installment was, as, always, amazing. The art style and the colors were incredibly, the characters were lovable as always (I would absolutely die for them all) and I couldn't stop reading. I can't wait for more!

The conclusion to the Tea Dragon series was as precious as ever!

It was really nice to see themes of grief and belonging explored in this installment through O'Neill's signature style. The artwork was truly stunning and brought me such joy. I also really appreciated the tea dragon history at the end for fans!

My only complaint is that I wish there was even more story development. I just love this world and these characters so much and could never get enough of them!

"The Tea Dragon Tapestry" is a perfect conclusion to this beautiful little series. The story is absolutely precious, as always, and it brings everything from the two previous books together in the most satisfying way possible. The art is gorgeous, as one would expect from Katie O'Neill. This is a book that you will want to read again and again. Highly recommended for home libraries of readers of all ages, as well as school and public library collections.

5/5 stars!

Oh my goodness! With the same love and charm as always, this much beloved series comes to a close!

As the third book in the Tea Dragon Society series, it follows Minette amd Greta. Minette is struggling to balance her past and present, while Greta contemplates her present and future. And a poor Ginseng dragon is still a sad baby!

How do I even begin? If you’ve read either or both of the previous book, you’ll know that this book is made with such a special kind of wholesome that you want to share it.

The art is as beautiful as ever and somehow, ever improving. It’s msgical to see changes in character design that just feel like a natural progression of the character. This is especially true in characters from the previous book who have aged a bit and it very clearly shows. Needless to say, I love the art very very much.

The colors will never cease to calm me and have me dreaming of cartoon food for days to come. But it is especially the soft character design that fills my heart. Characters new and old are really well desgined in a way that inspires beauty and creativity, it’s just amazing to see. It definitely has me wishing for a tv adaption, just to see these colors in movement.

The story that it tells.is equally as wholesome. Minette and Greta have come quite a way and still have more to think about in this book. What I love about the story is that while these two characters have a lot to think about and it is very pressing. The book is never frantic, things fall into place, as they do. It’s not a book where I rush to the end to see what happens. I just savor each page as they come.

Ok so…Erik is still my boy, I cannot change the winds. However, my other fav boy happens to be in this one also and so you can understand, just how much love is in my heart.

Also, the overall messages of this book concerning: how to deal with your past, how to think about failure, and even how to help those who’re grieving, are super important and really well done.

TL;DR: Please read this series! It’s beautiful, wholesome, creative, cute, and heart-warming beyond all belief. It’s a gift of a book to share with loved ones.

The Tea Dragon Tapestry was spectacular. Katie O'Neill is so skilled at creating a deep world. There is so much depth in the plot and the characters. I enjoyed every second of this graphic novel and I need to own all of them. It is original and sweet and good for middle grade to adults. I will recommend this to everyone.

The art in The Tea Dragon Tapestry is gorgeous. The colours are soft but make the characters and scenery stand out without being eye-popping and a strain to the eyes. The design and detail that goes into the characters, outfits, and backgrounds gave life and magic to the world of Tea Dragons as it introduced elements that enriched the world and the story.

It was a still sort of story, not filled with thrilling action or with fantastical rituals and performances. Instead, it was content with exploring memories and desires, quiet dreams and little hopes of the characters, who were a fascinating and diverse cast with their unique personalities and memorable appearances.

I loved how across a 100 pages or so, I was able to grasp the personalities of these characters and get to know them, though I’d probably need the first two books to feel more connected and invested in their stories. Even so, I was touched by the determination and the innocence the characters had and admired the way they overcame their fears with courage and with the help of those around them.

The reasons behind my idea that this book would be great for both adults and children are that the wisdom, the ideas brought up in this book – Greta’s indecision, Minette’s fears of change… these things are faced directly in the book. Its openness would appeal to children, who would see these fears, this indecision and come to their own conclusions, interpretations, and opinions of these things. As for adults, who already have been exposed to these things, it is a nice direct reminder of the things we have forgotten or have convinced ourselves that we know enough of.

I enjoyed The Tea Dragon Tapestry and it definitely piqued my interest enough to want to read the previous two books. If you’re looking for a cosy, heartwarming read with beautiful art, then you might want to give this a go. (Also, Tea Dragons are super adorable.)

Thank you so so so so so fucking much to Netgalley for providing this arc.

Do i really need to explain the beauty that is this book series? Not really, you just need to read it for clear skin and a better life. The art style is so pretty and mystically diverse in the most subtle ways

I got an ARC of this book.

A few things have become clear to me while reading this book and this series:

1. I have been born in the wrong world. I should have been raising tea dragons and making tapestries.
2. O’Neill is amazing and I should just assume I will love any book she puts out.
3. This is a shining example of what diversity in children’s books should be.

So tea dragons are the best invention since tea. The dragons are so full of personality and they are exactly the sort of creature I would devote my life to. They are honestly perfection. I have the card game and no matter how many times I play it, the dragons never lose their appeal. This book is really a wrap-up for all the humans and one dragon dragon in the series, but the tea dragons are around doing tea dragon things. The more lore that is revealed about tea dragons the more that I love them.

The art is gorgeous. The plots are touching. I loved this book. I just can’t think of enough good things to say about it. I have already annoyed people by making them listen to me reading it and sending them my reactions while demanding they read it. Every few pages was another thing I just found breathtaking.

The diversity is not forced. It is natural and it works in the story. There is not diversity for diversity sake. You can tell when an author is just ticking boxes to get in the right character to be cool. O’Neill doesn’t do that. The characters are alive and the way they are makes sense. There are sometimes plots around the diversity, but rarely in the way that feels like that is all the character exists for. In this book, one of the characters talks about how he handled finding a new passion in life after while adventuring he had an accident. The fact the character was in a wheelchair has never been hidden, but it was never a huge portion of the book. Instead of it being about how “brave” he is, it was about how he learned that just because you lived your life one way for years doesn’t mean that your life will always be that way. He found a love for being domestic that he never expected since he was an adventurer and always had been. The amount of life and depth the characters have is just astounding.

This is a great book and the series is magnificent. Highly recommend.

There are not enough words in the English language to encompass the awesomeness that was reading this story but if I tried it might look something like this: CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!!!
There was diversity, LGBTQ rep, and non-ableism coupled with absolutely mesmerizing art that I can't get enough of and a lovely story that is filled with lore and all kinds of details that make it believable.
This book will make whoever picks it up at least a little bit happier.
Thank you to Oni Press and Netgalley for this DRC.

What a lovely end to the Tea Dragon series! O'Neill's art is gorgeous as always and the story is so lovely, while still feeling a little bitter-sweet. I will always read and suggest Katie O'Neill's books!

I've been a fan of the Tea Dragon series and to see it coming to a conclusion warms my heart with love while at the same time makes me sad to know that it's the end. Min and Greta are such sweet and caring characters that their trajectories throughout the story plus the drawings were heartbreaking, whimsical, and a blissful moment of reading that I will always cherish.
Other things that I adore too was the layered characters in general, all of them had their own story and own voice and own struggles, I always appreciate well-writing characters. GInseng's whole arc was so emotional and cute, that I couldn't put it down and wait for how it was going to end. I just love this little cutie pie, he's such a precious little companion to Greta.
ANd you know what's great? It's not actually the end of their stories, but the beginnings of their happiness and journeys.

This is the next instalment of the Tea Dragons and once again, I LOVE IT! So light and heartwarming but deep and meaningful! The diversity of the characters in how they identify themselves, the way it approaches love and relationships as couples but also as families and friends. The artwork alone is beautiful and there are so many pictures I would love to have hung around my house!
I want more of this series. I love it so much!

I can not stress enough how wholesome this read was. Katie O'Neill knows how to deliver a wonderful storyline with beautiful illustrations. In this book we are back with Greta and she is taking care of Ginseng (a tea dragon who's owner passed away). She also wants to be an apprentice to a well know blacksmith and of course Brick helps her with the task at hand. We also have Minette who is trying to find herself while also learning about tea making. So many characters are really in a journey to find the true meaning of belonging in their present & future. As Greta struggles to help Ginseng, she has to decide on a perfect piece to make out of steel that would prove she is worthy of being an apprentice.

So much goes on throughout this story, but I highly recommend it. It so hard to put it down and at the end my heart strings were tugged. Thanks again for Netgalley for the ARC and for the invitation to join as this was a story I truly loved and followed. #TheTeaDragonTapestry #NetGalley

(A HUGE thank you to the publisher for sending me an early copy through Net Galley)

*screams* I have no words. Okay maybe I have some words; this BOOK, my guys. Just amazing. I’ll never get over this art style. In this volume especially, the colour pallet and the COMPOSITION of each page is just immaculate. You can tell so much care was put into it. This book is visually engaging throughout the entire story.

These characters will forever have a special place in my heart. They continue to develop throughout the series in heartwarming ways - a feat when the challenges are very real and dark challenges. But the Tea Dragon world continues to envelop thoughtful character development in relatable ways for all ages of readers.

Side note: I want to live in all the clothes drawn. Cozy feelings from the colours to the plot. I can’t wait to see more!!!

This book made me tear up at 3 in the morning,, what more can i ask for?? i mean literal footage of me reading this book would show me being the exact equivalent of this emoji (🥺)

Everytime i read a Katie O'Neill book i say "that's it!!!!!! that's the cutest book she's ever written!!!!" and then she releases another one and proves me wrong.

Both the art and the story are so cute and wholesome it makes my heart reach ten times it's normal size!! but it also dealt with heavy topics such as grief and feeling like one lost themselves and i loved it showing things like that. it's also one of the most inclusive graphic novels i've ever read we truly love to see it!

Out of a three volumes i think this might be my favorite?? i just love it so so much and it means so much to me and i just want to go cry because it's over.

thanks to netgalley for approving me for the arc!!!

The Tea Dragon Society is one of the most hyped graphic novels, especially on BookTube. I loved it very much, too. A second part was a bit disappointing, but it was still 4 stars. I was interested in how it will end. I’m glad we got back to the storyline of the first book.
Katy O’Neill’s drawings are amazing. For me, it’s clearly the most beautifully drawn graphic novel series I’ve read.
My other favourite in the series is the world-building. It is such a beautiful and detailed world with lots of interesting species. I wouldn’t have thought of tea dragons in my life, and what a great idea. With a second volume, the world expanded more. I think it's brilliantly done.
But let’s move to The Tea Dragon Tapestry. After a detour in the second book, we return to the main storyline to Greta and Minette. I enjoyed the story so much better. I felt like things were happening, not like in a second part. It was cute and I was happy with character development :)
The biggest issue with this graphic novel is that it’s the conclusion for this series. I need more of this world...

Hungarian version:
A Tea Dragon Society az egyik leghype-oltabb képregény, főleg a BookTube-on.
Másik kedvencem a sorozatban a világfelépítés.
Történetet most sokkal jobban élveztem.

I am softly weeping because I already miss this world. Each edition to this series was a breath of fresh air that you needed deep in your soul. Each epilogue added something knew to the world even after you were done. I am sad that this series is over, but I am so happy that I was able to experience it.

This is so beautiful and soothing. Every page is intricately laid out, with tons of little detailing. I would be happy to have any spread in this framed and hung on my wall. I loved the colourful illustrations that really captured the sweet, whimsical story about acceptance and friendship.

I love the communities established throughout this entire series, and the final installment brings individuals together to strengthen all of the relationships we have seen along the way. The illustrations are stunning, and the beauty of the story shines in the joyous coloring and what the illustration adds to the story-telling. Highly recommend for an afternoon pick-me-up.

I received a copy of this book as an early review copy from NetGalley and One Press. All opinions are my own.
