Really good read. Would recommend to friends and family. I could sympathise with characters (important for any fiction novel!) and looked forward to picking it up and reading the next few chapters! Interesting plot line and a good ending. Will look out for more novels by the author. Thank you.
This is a superbly conceived story, expertly packaged. Josh is left to discover just who his partner Grace’s son really is when she dies in an accident in Portland, Maine. There is no documentation so Josh sets out to establish the real identity of the seven year old Logan. The boy is very well depicted in the book and the reader can only fear for what might happen to him as the gripping tale unfolds. All the characters are credible and the angst of Josh can be easily understood. The story takes many turns before reaching an unexpected ending. I loved this book. It is sensitive but gripping. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

A twisty and disturbing psychological thriller.
Josh's partner, Grace, dies in a tragic accident, he is left with full custody of her seven-year-old son.Josh has always acted like a father to Logan, and so he doesn't hesitate to become his legal guardian. But when Josh can't find any paperwork associated with Logan's birth, his memories of Grace putting off making their family official begins to trouble him.
Its my second book by this author and I must say that she's working very hard to make such characters and it's visible in her work.
Thanks to NetGalley and Hodder Straighten for giving me an advance copy.
Thank you netgalley for this advanced copy. This is my first book by this author and it was great. Sad story. Some good twists I didn’t see coming.
