It's full.of suspense and intrigue with twists and turns on every page you won't be able to put it down
Get ready for a one sitting read
Thank you netgalley, T M Logan and Bonnier Books UK for allowing me to read and review this book
I was drawn in by the synopsis of ‘Trust Me’ - intrigued by the plot of a woman being handed a baby on a train by the mother who then seemingly leaves the train, entrusting the baby the care of this stranger., with only a short note by way of explanation.
The stranger is question is Ellen, a woman who has long since wanted, but given up hope on, having a baby of her own.
This is a decent story, but it wasn’t a good fit for me personally - there was a fair bit of action, policing and conspiracy theory, so for fans of these, it would work well, I am sure!
In hindsight I’m glad I finished the book, and what felt quite confusing during the read, all became gratifyingly clear as the story drew to a close.
Characters are interesting, but for the most part I found it hard to picture them, although I was getting a feel for them by the end of the story.
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.
I must confess to being a big fan of T M Logan having read all of his other books and he does not disappoint.
The book starts when Ellen, on a train to London is approached by Kathryn and 3 month old Mia. Ellen holds Mia whilst Kathryn takes a call, or so she thinks. However, Kathryn leaves the train at the next station leaving Kathryn to take care of Mia and all that entails.
Ellen has had a miscarriages and failed IVF treatments leaving her alone and troubled by her losses. On closer examination of Kathryn's bag, she finds a list of timings for feeding, sleeping etc and a hastily scribbled note from Kathryn asking her to take Mia and not to Trust anybody including the police. She goes through various challenges in her commitment to protecting the baby with varying diverse characters, police, ex husband, journalists all being possible protagonists.
I can't say much more without giving spoilers. But, despite my working out who the main protagonist was midway through the book, I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced book and I highly recommend this book and all the others by this author.
Thanks to the author, Netgalley UK and the publishers Bonnier UK for and advanced arc copy in exchange for a honest, unbiased and fair review.
Really enjoyed TM Logan's previous novels so was really excited about this and Trust Me it didn't disappoint (see what I did there 😂😂).
Ellen is on a train and gets talking to young mum Kathryn. Kathryn asks her to watch the baby she's with, Mia for a few moments while she takes a phone call. Ellen is happy too, then she sees Kathryn on the platform and she's left holding the baby with a note to say trust no one.
Ellen is then pulled into a mission to save Mia from people who would want to harm her, but first Ellen has to work out who that is.
Great, fast paced read, I did guess who Ellen was meeting at the end and I was chuffed I'd spotted the same clues as Ellen.
Loved Ellen, a great character who isn't afraid to do the write thing. She's ballsy too.
Thanks to net galley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion
My true star rating for this book is 3.5 stars.
Whilst travelling home from the fertility clinic after receiving bad news, the last thing that Ellen wanted or needed was a young woman sitting next to her with a three month old baby. Ellen and the woman start chatting and then the woman asks Ellen to hold the baby whilst she takes a phone call. The woman never comes back. Ellen is left with a dilemma about what she should do. What Ellen doesn’t realise is that danger is just around the corner.
I am a massive fan of this author and have read all of his books. I thought that this book was a much faster pace than any of his others. The action is non stop and I really did anticipate a 5 star read. About 3/4 of the way through I stopped enjoying it quite so much. I felt that the main character made a few stupid decisions and I got a little confused with what was happening. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
I’m a huge fan of T.M. Logan’s thrillers, so I jumped at the chance to read his latest, and I moved it right to the top of my TBR pile. Trust Me is filled with suspense, and it is there on every single page. Right from the very start, I had to know what was going on here and I raced through it to find the answers. It is very addictive!
At the beginning of the novel, we meet Ellen, who is just boarding a train. She has no idea how what should have been a simple journey will impact the rest of her life. When the woman she is sitting next to asks if she wouldn’t mind looking after her baby, Mia, while she makes a phone call, Ellen expects her to be back any moment. But she doesn’t return. All Ellen finds is a note warning her not to trust the police.
Ellen is a great lead character. Straight away, she feels a bond between her and Mia, and she is willing to do anything to protect her. But Ellen doesn’t know who it is she needs to protect Mia from? Why did her mother abandon her? Why can’t she trust the police? I wanted to know what was really going on here as the situation Ellen finds herself in, begins to unfold. Who would want to target an innocent young girl? This is what Ellen can’t quite bring herself to believe. Mia has done nothing wrong; why is she in danger? What can Ellen do to protect her when the police can’t be trusted?
Ellen is a character who I connected with very early on. I felt sorry for her as I began to learn more about her life. She has just recently split up with her husband, and she is devastated that she hasn’t been able to have children. She knows now that it is very unlikely to happen to her. Her husband then announces to her that he and his new partner are expecting a baby, which comes as a real blow. When Ellen first comes into contact with Mia, there was a part of me hoping that perhaps, Ellen might be able to bring her up.
I was on the edge of my seat right the way through this book. T.M. Logan is an author who knows how to keep his readers turning the page, and I was utterly gripped. There were tense scenes which were packed with action. It made me feel as though I was there, watching everything unfold around me.
If you’re a fan of high octane novels, and if you haven’t read anything by T.M. Logan before, then you’re definitely missing out. I’m always really impressed with what he has managed to come up with, and I know I’ll be adding whatever he writes next to my TBR pile right away. Trust Me is a thriller not to be missed.
wowowowowow you need to read this book! Trust me - TM Logan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When a women on the train asks Ellen to hold her baby (Mia) whilst she takes an urgent call, Ellen doesn’t expect to then watch the same women walking away from the train at the next station.
Then Ellen then finds a note: Please protect Mia. Don’t trust the police. Don’t trust anyone.
What should Ellen do next? Should Ellen put her life at risk to unravel the mystery of why Mia is danger?
I literally couldn’t put the book down. I read it in two sittings and it was a fight between not wanting it to end but needing to find out what happens next 😂
For the first half of the book I really wasn’t sure where it was going. Not in a bad way at all... but in a ‘I can’t predict the twist’ we all know happens in thrillers. I was blank. And that was so refreshing to read a totally unpredictable story line.
My favourite thing is when the clues have been sat under my nose the whole time.
TM Logan executed a smokescreen so perfectly to keep you guessing page after page. The web of mystery was weaved so well that it couldn’t be untangled and the reveal was oh so satisfying.
Thank you to the publishers @bonnierbooks_uk and @tmloganauthor for kindly sharing an advanced reader copy with me.
And all I can say is. PRE ORDER THE BOOK now. It releases on the 18th March 📚
I have enjoyed many other stories from T.M. Logan, so as soon as I spotted Trust Me I was keen to read it.
With such an unusual concept for a story I was curious to see where it would end up, but I have to admit I almost enjoyed the 'getting there' more than I did the resolution.
Right from the very start when you meet Ellen, you're thrown head first in to the action, confusion and anxiety she faces. The fact that the Police can't be trusted is repeatedly drilled in throughout the book, which only deepened my curiosity and suspicions. In real life, the Police are always painted as the guardians of society, to read otherwise is naturally unsettling!
With so many complex characters, it got quite hard for me to follow at times, but by the last third of the book, most of the questions I had were cleared up.
I love TM Logan’s book’s. So I was surprised when I read the description of the story. What immediately sprang to mind was I’ve read a book like that recently . The book was ‘Woman on the Edge by Samantha M Bailey. Surely this couldn’t be the same.
Apart from a woman handing over a baby, these two books are definitely NOT the same. The author has created some brilliant characters. Along I thought I had my suspect and reason. Then something comes to light that gradually crumbles your decision. A great ending. This is another book I’d love to be made into a tv series.
Bravo Mr Logan.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc
This was a great book!
I really enjoyed the multiple point of views, and the storyline in general. It was very well written, I definitely recommend it.
Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a copy of this ebook to review via Netgalley.
3. 5 stars
Possible spoilers
Enjoyable. Fast paced, plenty of tension, and a kick ass heroine that youd be more than glad to have on your side.
However,it held few surprises for me,and I felt I didnt need to hear "it's best you dont know " in any way shape or form again.
Mostly though,it was a rollercoaster race against time, that kept me incredibly entertained.
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. By far my favorite by TM Logan so far. The blurb drew me in and kept be guessing throughout. Every time a new character was introduced I was thinking could they be involved?? Just when I thought I had it figured out another twist was thrown out and I was wrong. Highly recommended!
Ellen is travelling home to London on the train, when a young woman with a baby sits beside her. They chat and when the woman receives a phone call she asked if Ellen will hold her baby for a minute. The woman then gets off the train and Ellen has to decide what to do next. This incident puts all their lives in danger.
A fast paced thriller with lots of twists and turns that I didn’t want to put down.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
I started this book yesterday, thought about it all night and finished it today. The first book to make me shriek out loud this year!
A new author for me, the book starts with Ellen travelling home on a train when a stranger asks her to hold her baby whilst she takes a call. When the train stops at the next station, the stranger exits the rain and mouths “sorry” to Ellen. Ellen is literally left holding the baby and a note that says, trust no one....
Plenty of twists and turns as well as cliff hanger moments and a story that makes you want to read on.
Thank you NetGalley!!!
This will be on sun loungers around the world over summer I hope, a fantastically gripping thriller that I couldn't put down.
Ellie is desperate for children but with her marriage over, and the wrong side of 40, things aren't looking good. One day during a train journey, a young mother asks her to hold her adorable 3 month old daughter, and then vanishes. There's a note in the baby bag - Trust No One. Where should Ellie go, and what should she do?
Lots of twists and turns that you'd expect from another TM Logan cracker.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read it

I loved this book very much.
Two strangers, a child, and a split second choice that will change everything . . .
Ellen was just trying to help a stranger. That was how it started: giving a few minutes respite to a flustered young mother sitting opposite her on the train. A few minutes holding her baby while the mother makes an urgent call. The weight of the child in her arms making Ellen's heart ache for what she can never have.
Thanks to NetGalley and Zafre for giving me an advanced copy.
I am a huge fan of T.M.Logan and have read all of his novels and they are all excellent. Once again, I was delighted to receive the ARC of Trust Me in return for my honest review. Another clever, original and well plotted story with excellent characters.
We begin on a train journey with Ellen. A young woman sits down opposite her with a three-month old baby, Mia. She introduces herself as Kathryn, appears to be flustered and receiving phone calls which she doesn’t answer. Ellen notices bruises on her wrist. Kathryn asks Ellen to hold the baby whole she makes an urgent phone call.
The next time Ellen sees Kathryn is as the train pulls away at a station and Kathryn is walking away, leaving the baby with Ellen, the baby’s rucksack and a note telling her not to trust anybody including the police.
There are twists, turns, red herrings, frightening and witty dialogue especially with Ellen’s friend, Tara. Thoroughly enjoyable read.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bonnier Books UK and T. M. Logan for the ARC of Trust Me.
Another highly recommended and must-read form T. M. Logan.
Another fantastic book by this author. It had me gripped from the first page and I raced through it.
It’s the perfect thriller as it’s well written, pacy with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.
It’s definitely a 5 star read.
Yet another great read from this author. The suspense, intrigue and heart pounding twists and turns all make for an edge of the seat read
With reminisces of The Lady Vanishes, Ellen offers to hold a flustered mother’s baby while she takes a few moments to make a private call. But when Ellen watches the young mother leave the train at the next station, leaving her holding the baby, she needs to raise the alarm. She discovers a note in baby Mia’s bag asking Ellen to look after the baby and, just as importantly, not to trust the police – or anyone. Ellen cannot begin to understand why a mother would abandon her baby and sets out to discover the truth behind her disappearance. In a tight, gripping plot, Ellen has to put her own life on the line for the truth. There are plenty of red herrings to confuse you, but there’s also enough hints and tips to give the reader an insight into how the story will reach its denouement. Thoroughly enjoyable and my favourite of the author’s books so far.
