A great sequel to this series, I enjoyed the setting and found the characters funny and relatable. Would recommend to read!
Meet Me in Hawaii
by Georgia Toffolo
A lovely warm hearted fun book . The second in a series but an equally stand alone read. Set in Hawaii romance sun sea and sand and helping others a feel good read with great character and finding out their stories and how they manage to move on. A very enjoyable read.
After reading the first book in this series - Meet Me in London (which I didn't love) I thought I would give this book the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately I just couldn't get along with it.
Usually I avoid 'celebrity' written books due to the simplicity of the narrative. I managed to chapter 4 but I had no interest in continuing.
For fairness to the author I have given this book the average rating.
Oh my goodness, this was such a gorgeous read! I decided to read this on the hottest day, making it the perfect summery beach read filled with anticipated and tense romance, with a lot of dark depth within the leading characters. I absolutely adored our leading characters, they were absolutely meant to be, they just needed to stitch up some wounds in order to do so and they helped each other effortlessly in making that possible. I completely flew through this book and can't wait to finish the final two.
This book has summer read all over it. The cover is gorgeous and it was a perfect summer escape book.
The way the author describes all the beautiful scenes in Hawaii made me want to travel there and be part of this story.
Malie, what a strong character. She is power, independence and utterly brilliant.
The characters within this book made me read quicker, wanting to know all about them, what lies ahead for them. I couldn't read fast enough!
If you want a book to escape, travel and fall in love then this is your next read.
I have really been enjoying this series! Romantic, sexy, funny and engaging! I love the continuing story of this group of friends.
Not what I was expecting after reading the beauty that was Book 1 in this series. This one just felt it rehashed the same thing over and over again, the story going nowhere, and the characters not even getting to fall in love because it was insta-love and then nothing else was happening. Really disappointing, especially after the magic that was Book1. The heroine also wasn't a very likeable character, so another aspect that failed to connect to make this one a good read
This one was a great addition to the series and I enjoyed it a lot . A surfer on the run and a meet cute encounter makes Malie and Todd to fall in love when least expect and from there everything goes so smoothly and perfect. Ups and downs with doubts on their past and future dreams but they make it work in the end.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy
This is a lovely, romantic novel, which is heartwarming, and easy to read. The characters Malie and Todd, are very cute together. Malie teaches surfing in Hawaii, and Todd is a rich man who meets Malie in Hawaii through his charity. They are funny together, and they are attracted to each other, but will Malie let him in? In between reading my thrillers and mysteries, I love a good, easy to read, joyful romance, set in a beautiful location, and this one was perfect for what I was looking for. It uplifted me and brought me happiness when I needed it.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
After a tragedy, Malie flees her home in Devon to Hawaii and starts work at a surf school. A director of a charitable foundation starts working with the surf school to support children. One day, Malie has to rescue someone from the sea and sparks ignite!
Hawaii is wonderfully described. As leading men go, I was definitely hooked! This is book two in a series, I loved the first one and now got my hands on book three. Perfect for armchair travel.
I loved the first book in this series and I couldnt wait to get my hands on the second book. And let me tell you, I absolutely loved this story! I loved reading about Malie and her surfing school!
The second book from Georgia Toffolo.
The book continues following a group for friends but stands alone well.
In this story we follow Malie, who runs a surfing school which includes working with less fortunate children or children who have had some sort of trauma.
She meets Todd, the head of a charity for children who she is instantly attracted to. But Malie knows she cannot allow herself to get close to another person - she has known the heartache that that can cause.
A really lively story in the series. Looking forward to the next one!
I loved the first book in this series and so was eager to read this one, a typical story of romance, friendship and love. perfect read for anyone that is a fan of romance. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
am really enjoying Georgia Toffulo’s books and have to say this one really didn’t disappoint.
Malie, another member of the lost hours gang moved to Hawaii to work on her Uncles surf school following the break down of relations with her family. One evening whilst having a last evening surf Malie notices someone in trouble in the rip current, after saving the rather good looking guy Malie has no reason to expect to see him again, however, when she attends an event to publicise her charity work with the surf school, she is shocked to discover that the patron of the evening is the same man she just rescued on the beach.
Todd Masters is CEO of a charity that helps children reaching their full potential, his link up to Malie’s surf school is a great way to bring up the confidence of the children that are with him on this trip.
Todd and Malie are attracted to each other, but both feel they do not deserve to be happy, can they work through this and reach their happy ever after.
I loved this book, it was great to meet up the the lost hour girls again, I did hit a bit of a hump when they visited the pineapple farm but after that the story raced on after that and I must admit I was really sorry to reach the end of the story, but am looking forward to the final two books in the series.
This story can be read as a stand alone book or as part of the series, but personally would recommend the series as it’s a wonderful group of friends.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I loved the first book in the series Meet Me in London and I was eager to see which friend we would be meeting in book two. I was delighted it was Malie and it was lovely to spend time with her and get to know a little about her fictitious life. What I love about the plots of these books is that they are so much more than just your run of the mill romance books. They have side plots that are really important. In the case of Meet me in Hawaii, we meet a group of kids that have had a tough time in life and a charity has brought them to Hawaii to get away and perhaps bring them out of their selves. Malie is perfect and patient as their surfer teacher. Having been through tragedy in her own life she can relate to them in a way many others would not be able to.
Then there is the romance element of the book, I love that it is relatable and honest. The characters are well written and likeable. It is definitely a fast page-turner and I absolutely love that characters from the first book appear in Meet me in Hawaii too.
You also get a small insight into what might be coming up in book three as we learn a lot more about some of the girls. This series is definitely for the readers like myself who do enjoy a little romance in their books but that also need more depth too.
So I encourage you to take a trip to Hawaii and fall in love with Mali and Todd.
A beautiful page-turner with ohana at its core.
I love this series, and this installment did not disappoint. Georgia Toffolo knows how to build a location, story, and a steamy, slow-burn relationship really well. I love the friend group this series follows and how it all links back to the other's stories.
The location was so beautifully described and the relationship in this one was a warm, tingly one that I was obsessed with. I really enjoy getting both the male and female's viewpoints of the story, it makes the building of the relationship so cute as you know from the male perspective, before the females and are just sat there like 'aww'. I like the multiple POV as well, as it helps the character development so that you become more invested in both characters, the story, and their relationship.
A lovely easy-read romance for anyone that wants a bit of a palette cleanser.
A really well written romance, and one I would recommend for people who want to start getting into the genre!
I was excited to read this after reading the first book of this friendship series by Georgia Toffolo called Meet me in London. The first book had a more Christmas's feel which made this second book totally different as a more summery feel.
This book is different how it is set in hawaii and to read about a surf school where both main characters have charity work.
I love how the second book carried on with the video calls the friendship group have with how you can tell how close they are even being away from each other long distance.
I felt that Malie and Todd's romance maybe happened too quickly. It was interesting how the main characters were stopping themselves getting together from guilt and family which made more sense as they revealed more from their past but they both helped each other. Malie was a bit too indecisive at times which made Todd more likeable with how patient he was.
I would of liked to have read more about Malie giving Todd surfing lessons as there could have been more flirty playful moments made with these.
The ending worked really well how Malie took on Todd's advice.
I'm looking forward to reading the next two books in this series.
I've had this book sat on my TBR for way too long and I'm so glad I finally made the decision to read this series, especially after enjoying Meet Me in London quite as much as I did.
In this book we meet Malie, one of the four girls that this series is based on, who has relocated to working for her uncle's surf school in Hawaii after the death of her brother and the fragile relationship with her parents. From Meet Me in London we know a little bit about Malie's past but I loved finding out more about her and how she felt about things.
From the very start of this book there is drama and as soon as Malie and Todd meet there are fireworks, you can tell instantly that something is going to happen between them and you just know it will be magical. However, it soon becomes clear that there is more to Todd to and even though both Malie and Todd clearly have feelings for each other, they are both very conscious that this can't be anything more than friendship.
The sizzles between them never stop though and I couldn't wait for things to progress with them even though it kept looking less and less likely. Malie is so consumed by her past, thinking that she doesn't deserve happiness and I really thought that things weren't going to go the way that I hoped. That was until Zoe enters - who btw, I absolutely LOVE, and starts trying to talk a bit of sense into Malie.
I was left grinning so much when it got to the end of this book though, Tara is just the best kid ever and it was so enlightening and heartwarming to see her throwing caution to the wind and enjoying herself regardless of what others thought - the moment that Malie gets her on the surf board with Nala was probably one of my favourite moments of this book!
Now I just can't wait to make a start on Meet Me in Tahiti!
