Great workbook for beginners, there is plenty of space to record your thoughts. I may even use a notebook so I could come back and use it again. This something I’m really interested in and will definitely practice.
I love the watercolour quotes throughout, they would be lovely to frame and place on a wall.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for giving me an advanced copy.
A good interactive, guided gratitude journal, with an abundance of prompts and exercises. Easy, simplistic layout with plenty of opportunity to write. I also liked the pops of colour throughout.
After I read Wake up Grateful by the author and gained some relevant insight in the practice of gratitude, I was still struggling with incorporating it my daily life.
This workbook has been a true blessing for me. For the first time, I was excited to wake up and jot down the things I am grateful for.
For anyone wanting to start practicing gratitude, this book will act as a handy guide. I am going to get a hardcopy for me as soon as it releases. It will also make for a perfect gift for your loved ones to start the New Year with a positive habit.
It is a colourful workbook that focuses on gratitude and making you aware of it in your life. The questions are thought provocative and probing. I really enjoyed being awakened to the gratitude in my lie.
This is a great workbook t help you explore gratitude. I think its an important lesson for us all and something. that should be focused on more.
While this was great as an ebook I think it would be even better as a paperback. This covers the present, seeking perspective and awakening possibility presented over three separate sections. The pages are colourful and beautifully presented including inspiring quotations throughout.
There are some really lovely resources at the back of the. books including postcards and bookmarks. There are also spaces through the book to write down your thoughts etc.
a great bok for anyone wanting to focus more on gratitude.
In my search for maintaining a gratitude journal I must have gone through lots of blog posts, videos and books and while a few of them pointed me in the right direction, it was when I got my hands on this book by Kristi Nelson that I felt I could now experience and maintain the discipline.
The workbook is ideal for those who are struggling to get into or maintain their daily gratitude discipline. It has been filled with good insights, numerous prompts and deep quotes wich you can go back again and again to reaffirm and strengthen your belief.
I sincerely recommend this book and am thankful to Netgalley for providing me an advance copy of this book for my unbiased opinion.
Learn about gratitude, using the exercises, meditations and thought provoking tips.
Then be grateful for all we have, enjoy and can appreciate.
Excellent workbook with thought-provoking questions and prompts on increasing gratitude in our daily lives. I loved the quotes and colorful backgrounds inserted throughout. A powerful guide for a powerful, transformative practice.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This wonderful little book delivers exactly what it promises. It's bursting with meditations and mindfulness exercises that are written in such a simple and straightforward way that make the reader actually want to give them a go. I really enjoyed the thought provoking questions at the end of each meditation or mindfulness exercise, and found that having a journal on hand to ponder some of those questions really helpful.
The writing prompts were great, because even though I have a gratitude practice, there are times that I forget where to begin, so having those prompts to guide me was an additional benefit.
I think this is a fantastic book for those who are hoping to start a gratitude practice or perhaps people who already had one and need some help getting back on the gratitude path again.
The 'Become Fully Present' is incredible. It's one of the most simple yet most effective ways to ground yourself and become aware of the present moment. I'm so glad Kristi included it in the book.
"Show up with your heart open, knowing that it costs you nothing and affords you everything."
What a gorgeous book, filled with so much wisdom. I think this will be deeply helpful and thought provoking for lots of people. Loved it.
Great book to have on hand for when you need some inspiration and a boost. To be grateful for everything you have in your life is something I do try to do everyday and this book helps you to think about this and to document your feelings.
There are some great sayings/phrases that I could read everyday and it is just a nice book to have around, to pick up daily and to reflect on.
Gratitude is a state of being and a choice, this workbook helps make both easier and possible long term! I loved the accountability/stickers in the back that allowed me to practice what I was learning as I went, rather than reading/journaling and then moving on to the next lesson. I think this style of workbook allows the reader to truly develop and maintain the daily practice of being present and mindful as well as seeing and finding ways to be grateful even in the toughest of times. I realized about halfway through that this would be an excellent book to keep and reuse each year during my quiet time in the mornings. With everything going on in the world this is a much-needed way to find contentment and a sense of gratitude with whatever circumstances you find yourself in.
Many years ago I started a gratitude journal and I'd write five lines every day of things I was grateful for. Since filling that book I've continued writing three bullet points every day in my every day journal. So I wasn't sure if I'd get much from this book, but I was wrong. The book includes lots of prompts that get you thinking and encourage you to explore your gratitude.
I think this is an excellent self-help guidebook that can help everyone learn how to be more grateful and hopeful in their lives. The self-directed worksheets, asking you to consider different aspects of your life (gratitude, awareness, etc.) is really well written. I also love the stickers, messages, and bookmarks at the back of the book that the reader can take with them to put reminders in their daily life of ways to be more grateful and aware.
I received an e-ARC of this book by the author and publishing via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book. You can find a link to my Goodreads Review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4066535683
This is a beautiful book to help you practice more gratitude. I loved the colors, the gratitude prompts and the stickers for motivation to keep going. A great way to ensure you practice more gratitude every day. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC.
What a wonderful little workbook to practice more gratitude in your life. I am already planning to buy this for friends birthday gifts this year. It is often hard to remember to practice gratitude, so this is a good way to work this into your daily practice. Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for a copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
A really good workbook for beginners. The quotes and watercolors were a beautiful addition and I loved the inclusion on the star stickers to help make an otherwise intangible act quantifiable. Some of the prompts seemed a bit advanced for a beginner book but I appreciated the idea.
This is definitely a book that I will buy on publication.
Covering everything from becoming present, seeking perspective and awakening posssibility. This book focuses on using senses and your breath, tunining into your body and paying attention to what you need. This book welcomes practicing gratitude as a daily activity, going to bed grateful and acknowledging and appreciating the lessons learned from difficult emotions.
I love how this book has a series of prompts to encourage you to think about the things you're grateful for, and entices the reader more. I love this book so much, and will definitely be purchasing a physical copy if there is one available. Thank you for sending this to me.
This is a guided gratitude workbook that is divided into three parts: Become Present, Seek Perspective and Awaken Possibility.
Some sections have dates that you can log an activity against, others are lists, some are lined spaces for writing your thoughts in respect to the prompt. Also, there are stars that you can use to stick onto some of the pages when you feel you have achieved the prompt - this bit feels a little childish to me.
Throughout the book, there are colourful pages that have quotes from people like Aristotle, David Lloyd George, and many more (quite a few I haven't heard of). These are also available as postcards at the rear of the book too, along with bookmarks, affirmation stickers and conversation starters.
This would be a good workbook to go through, exploring each part as writing down your thoughts and goals, be it when you wake, sleep, when you have things to do in the week, acknowledging the earth's generosity, serving others and more.
I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
If wanting to build your gratitude practice this can be a book to pick up - for a daily or weekly thing. Could reuse the prompts over again and get some quotes placed throughout. Also, get some extras at the end to take with you.
