This is a very sweet story about a girl’s love for her bicycle how that love is returned and how that love is passed on into the future. This book was just all-around cute. It could be read again and again. The illustrations are soft but heartwarming and fit the story perfectly.

This is a beautifully illustrated and magical children's book about a little girl called Ellery who finds a magic bicycle, and as she grows up, the bicycle continues to play with her.

My daughter and I loved this book, which is so sweet and cute. The story is just perfect, adorable and heartwarming, and it will help lots of little children's hearts to glow.

Highly recommended.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Ellery's Magic Bicycle is the story of Ellery, who finds an old abandoned bicycle and takes it home. Ellery's bicycle teaches her to ride, grows with her, and even protects her from a bully. Ellery eventually puts the bicycle away and forgets about it. She marries, and has a family, but they purchase a new bike to teach their daughter to ride. The time comes to clean out the shed and Ellery puts the bike out for the rubbish truck, but hears a faint ting-a-ling. She remembers and keeps the bike, riding along with her daughter. What a sweet story. I read this to my granddaughter and she enjoyed it. She liked the magic bike and how it became Ellery's friend. We talked about friends and how important they are. We also talked about "stuff" and how new is not always better. She told me about her bike that used to be her older brother's and will become her younger brother's soon because she is getting too big and bike's don't really grow. We also talked about the bully and how they eventually became friends. Lots in this little book to discuss. The illustrations were well done, realistic and detailed. A book that I am sure we will read again.

This was such a cute book. I love the idea of introducing kids to passing down perfectly good things so others can love them just as much. My daughter enjoyed this very much. I hope to read more from this author. The artwork was beautiful and went perfectly with the story.

With thanks to the author, BooksGoSocial publishers and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

A heartwarming story of a magic bicycle, discovered by a girl when she is very little, that teaches her to ride and them accompanies her through the various stages of her growing up, only to be disconnected for a period and then reunited once again. There is something that attracts me to stories such as this where an inanimate object is portrayed as the central character of a story through its interactions with other characters, and I think the longevity over a long period of time of the bicycle in this story is a positive and reassiuring lesson to children at a time when possessions are mostly regarded as a little more throw-away. The illustrations were fun and charming, and a perfect complement to the story. Very enjoyable read for all ages!

When a children's book can make you go through a rollercoaster of emotions- you know it's a good one. HOLY CAMOLY did Ellery's Magic Bicycle have me up and down those hills as if I were ON the bike myself!

What a heart (warming AND wrenching) tale this was...from the moment Ellery bonded with her bicycle, to the moment I was in tears and thinking- ELLERY YOU CANNOT DO THAT, NOOO!! (If you know, you know). The artwork was lovely and cozy, it added to my enjoyment of the read immensely.
This magical friendship between Ellery and her bicycle was not only up-lifting and hopeful, it was relatable. I had a stuffed animal named 'Kitty' when I was younger that did exactly what the purple bicycle did for Ellery- made me feel safe, happy, and feel like I could take on the world (but Kitty wasn't magical, unfortunately!)
We need more stories like this- imaginative, creative and wholesome. Not everything has to be realistic and real to help us learn, or for us to enjoy it. There is beauty in simplicity, believing that magic exists (without questioning it) and Maria hit a home run with this one.

A thousand-gazillion stars for Ellery's Magic Bicycle- PERFECTION. I don't have any kiddos but I want to re-read this because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside- and don't we all want some of that feeling these days?

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Ellerys Magic Bicycle is an heartwarming story about Ellery who finds an old abandoned bicycle and takes it home. Ellery and the bike are inseparable and grow together until Ellery makes her own family. The bicycle is put away and forgotten about until one day years later when Elkery is tasked with the choice to give the bike away or keep it.
This book was such a wonderful read and really got to my heartstrings. This reminds me so much of my childhood where I would go off for the day on my own beloved bike on many adventures. The illustrations are lovely and I loved the ending.

Ellery's Magic Bicycle is a story aimed at 4-7 year olds about young Ellery who finds a magic bike that rides on its own, grows with her, and protects her when needed. It is very reminiscent of The Giving Tree. If you didn't like The Giving Tree, you probably won't like this book, if The Giving Tree made you a sobbing mess, this book may do the same (I admittedly fall in the first camp, I forgot how much I dislike The Giving Tree until I picked up this book, but I definitely still recommend it to people who like that type of more emotional children's books). It has simple but pretty and effective illustrations that go very well with the story.

Lovely story about Ellery and the bicycle she finds as a child and which accompanies her through her life - magically growing. It plays with her, teaches her, protects, helps and comforts. But what will happen when Ellery is grown up? I liked the beautiful drawings and the simple sentences, though I think the small parts of the story could demand a little more extension.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

There is something about your first bike. Do you remember getting your first bike and feeling the independence that comes with riding down the road, the wind blowing in your hair. The confidence you felt. There is something magical about having a bicycle. Ellery bike was a special bike that was gifted to her and stayed with her until she had a little girl of her own. A special story about Ellery's special relationship with her bike. Asking for adventure until her bike was forgotten and remembered when her childhood came back thru her own daughter.

A special thank you to Books go Social and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

A very cute picture book about a girl and her magical bicycle. The pictures show the young girl finding the neglected magical bicycle. With a little love, it comes to life and they enjoy many good years together. Eventually the girl makes a new friend, and he also spends time with the girl and bike. When he moves, the bike is there to comfort her. As she grows however, she soon leaves the bike along for more grown up things, and it gets neglected once more, with spiderwebs on the handle bars. The girl marries, has a girl of her own. She is almost ready to throw the bike away, when she remembers all the great times they had.. She now goes on bike rides with her daughter, and the love restores the bike back to perfect. I loved the pictures of the basket on the handlebars...the more love the bike is given, the more flowers appear on it. Eventually, there are none. Burt at the end of the book, it is over flowing with flowers once more.

This is a very cute children's book about Ellery's relationship and adventures with her magic bike. The story and pictures are quite well done, and it will surely be a book children ask you to read "again, please!". It reminded me a bit of the children's classic The Giving Tree as each depicts the changes in the relationship as the child grows.

My thanks to the author for allowing me to read an e-ARC of the book via NetGalley. The book is scheduled for publication on 5/2/22 by BooksGoSocial. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

Ellery’ a magic Bicycle
By Maria Monte

So this is a story about a girl who found a magic bike. The bike would ride around Ellery and made her smile and even grew with Ellery. It even helped her make a new friend.

Ellery’s Magic Bicycle is a children’s book aimed at ages 4 to 7. I read it to my six-year-old grandson and he gave it two thumbs up. While out playing, Ellery finds an abandoned bicycle. She is amazed to find that it is magical. The bicycle becomes her best friend. When Charlie moves into the neighborhood, Ellery uses the bicycle to make friends with him. When Ellery and Charlie become adults, life steps between them and the bicycle. But Ellery and Charlie marry and have a child. They live in her childhood home and discover the bicycle again. As they are cleaning the shed, they discover the bicycle again. When the junk man comes to pick thing up, Ellery has a choice to make.

I read this with my daughter, and we absolutely loved it! It was poignant and will make you think about it even after you read it.

Ahhhh! This is the magic of picture books. Even though I'm an adult now, it still had a large impact on me. And to think that it was only a few pages!

It rings true in that sometimes when we grow up, we no longer have that much time with our friends and the things we used to love to do because we have responsibilities and tasks to do that take up much of our time.

The illustrations are beautiful and soft and kept the same tone as the story.

The story kind of reminded us of The Giving Tree in a way.

Highly recommend this to children and adults! Definitely tugged at my heartstrings!

This is such a cute children's book! I read this with my 4 year old daughter who loves riding her bike and we both enjoyed it. I love how the story follows Ellery through her childhood into adulthood, all based around her special bike. The ending is too sweet as it all comes full circle! I recommend reading this one with young children for a quick, sweet story.
