The chapters are organized by continents and polar regions/oceans. The intent is to introduce, or renew, a sense of urgency regarding the increasing rate of extension of many species. I appreciate the call to consider how behaviors are affecting the natural habitats and the species within them. I loved the images captured and the descriptions provided. The photographer is truly gifted in capturing the essence of the creature. The finer details are stunning and just so vivid. This collection truly offers a world tour of some of the most beautiful and intriguing species that are at risk of never being seen again.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.
Looking for a way to keep your kids off of games? With over 200 vibrant and lively photos of more than 100 threatened species of animals, you won't find a better way to keep your kids' attention. From the photos of a hippopotamus walking on and underwater environment to a stunning visual of an elephant swimming under a blue watery scene. There are those endangered animals that we know and love like the red panda, the giant panda and the marvelous whale shark, and there are those we may not have ever heard of like the shoebill or the secretary bird (is she wearing real makeup?).
Amazing high-resolution photography paired with information about each unique species. A great way for readers of all ages to learn about endangered species and conservation.
Grateful to have received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley & Amber Books Ltd.
Endangered animals by Tom Jackson was really good. It is broken up by different continents in the animals that inhabit that land and animals that have inhabited that land but no longer do because of land encroachment and hunting. I thoroughly enjoyed this book they had mini mini pictures of beautiful animals and some not so beautiful but all part of the world we live in. I really really wish it would’ve been longer but that would’ve made they had more endangered animals so maybe not. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and gave it five stars. If you love animals then you’ll love this book. I was given this book by Net Gally and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Please forgive any grammar or punctuation errors as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.
Endangered Animals is a really neat book, with lots of bright photos and descriptions of endangered species. It covers the whole world, chapters divided by continent. This would be a great book for any child that just adores animals, and can be used for research purposes too!
This is a book full of nothing but stunning photos and brief informative captions about creatures that may one day disappear from the face of the earth if we are not careful.
Worthwhile for a space on your coffee table, and any public library. May it spark a passion for preserving the lives that God created for our beautiful world. It can also be used as a starting point to search for more knowledge about these endangered animals.
4 and a half stars from me.
A stunning photo book about some of Earth's endangered animals. The pictures let us get a close look at animals that if we do not change our ways may become extinct. Even as an adult I found the information about the animals interested and even learned a few new animals.
This book would be great to start conversations with children about why animals are endangered and what we can do to stop that from happening.
It was also refreshing to see that amount of animals that now live in protected areas.
Side note: LOVED all the ape and monkey pictures in this book, hate how many of them have to be in this book though.
Will definetly purchase for myself to look through again with my neices and nephews.
The photography in this book is phenomenal, how some of the shots were taken I’ll never know! I loved the nuggets of information that accompanied each picture too.
