A great family saga set in Kent ww1, around sisters daisy, violet and holly, a great new series looking forward to the next one.
When does the next one come out?!
It was refreshing to read a book set around wartime taking on a new angle of a vital wartime industry. The characters were all very easy to relate to and likeable in a friendly type way. They each came to life in different ways with their own personal stories and characters shining through. The triplets brought a great element to the story and I hope we learn more about the two brothers working for the Government in war roles.
There were lots of twists and turns throughout the book that I didn't see coming and kept the reader interesting!
As a big cat lover I loved the introduction of Wicket!
Thank you Anna Cliffe for a brilliant read and I look forward to more!
The Flour Mill Girls by Anna Cliffe
Set in the cusp of the First World War we are introduced to three sisters Daisy , Violet and Holly Graham living at the family mill.
When war breaks out and their brothers and other local men go off to fight , they have to pull together to keep everything going and help the family businesses to keep it.
Brilliant characters and a great plot. Loved it.
