More of the same from James Patterson which is why so many readers love him. The long-running Murder Club series powers on with another thrilling page-turner featuring the regular characters. My mother reckons it’s the best yet!

This series is getting more addictive with each new story.
It has a lot of Clickbait (Netflix show) ideas and I loved it.
There are more than one side stories and each one is more terrifying than the other. On one case, Detective Lindsay Boxer is hunting a new copy cat serial killer and Claire Washburn is the forensic specialist that has to determine how the new villain, “Blackout” , operates.
I loved their interaction and the courtroom drama as well as the investigation process . Then there’s Cindy, a journalist who has to overcome quite a few traumas from her past. And we couldn’t miss the prosecutor Yuki who’s case is not for the faint of heart ones.
I found myself so engrossed in this story that I read it in one sitting. I loved how many twists and suspenseful moments are in here and how , after so many clues, there are still unpredictable moments that surprised me in the best possible way.
If you’re looking for a fast pace, addictive and engrossing thriller with an easy to follow script, look no further than this one.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley

You can rely on James Patterson. He unfailingly delivers a great story. Short chapters, usually ending on a cliff hanger which pushes up the pace. I have dipped into the Women’s Murder Club many times and always enjoy the cracking story, the comradeship of the women, their partners and their working relationships. As always hard to put down and an easy thrilling read. Hard to do that with the 23rd in the series, but up there with all of them.

Thanks to Random House Uk Cornerstone for ran ARC in return for an honest review.

Book 23 and the latest Women's Murder Club novel.
This is another good novel with its own story along side the contractions stories of the 4 main characters of Lindsay, Claire, Cindy and Yuki. All books tend to be written in the first person with the storyteller being Detective Lindsay Boxer.
A good, easy to read novel, I love coming back to the Patterson short sharp chapters with lots of action that makes these books moreish so you can never read only one chapter…
A quick paced novel which I read in a day!

The key charcters making up the women's murder club are. Detective Lindsay Boxer , Prosecutor Yuki Castellano, Chief medical examiner Claire Washburn and Journalist Cindy Thomas.

In a previous case case Detective Lindsay Boxer had persued and captured serial killer Evan Burke now serving multiple life sentences. In her next case she is in pursuit of another serial killer known as "Blackout". It is clear that this new serial killer is continuing in the footsteps of his idol and mentor Evan Burke.

Cindy had spent countless harrowing hours with Evan co-authoring his biography and was now on a book promotion tour. Blackout kidnaps Cindy and the race is on to find her and Blackout before she is murdered.

In a separate case Yuki is prosecuting a domestic violence case against Lewis Sullivan for the attempted murder of his wife who is left with horrific injuries.

These are delightful female characters ably supported by an excellent ongoing male supporting cast.

This is a fast paced thriller which draws the reader in and is, in my opinion an unputdownable book.

I love this series of books having read them . This can be read in isolation but I do recommend that the reader reads the other books in the series so that they have a fuller understanding of the relationships between all of the major charcters.
Thanks to Netgalley UK and publishers Random House UK/Cornerstone for an advanced arc copy in exchange for a fair unbiased review.

James Patterson and Maxine Paetro are back to their best with this one.

Fast paced and full of tension and drama. I absolutely flew through this one.

Lindsay Boxer put serial killer Evan Burke behind bars. Cindy Thomas wrote a bestselling book about his heinous crimes.

Now a new killer seems to be hell bent on copying his crimes. And this time it's personal.

I love this series and this one is a cracker.

I really enjoyed being back in the company of The Women’s Murder Club, I’ve missed a few, my last being the 16th, but it was like catching up with old friends and popping on some much loved comfy slippers.
More daring do in San Francisco, high stakes and a rollercoaster of a ride to the end.

He’s done it again! James Patterson never fails to disappoint! Another fast paced thriller from the man with a genius mind.
When Women’s Murder Club reporter Cindy Thomas writes a true crime book with serial killer Evan Burke, it quickly becomes a best seller; but an obsessive fan soon brings fresh horror to the lives of a whole host of new victims.
I was hooked right from the disturbing beginning, all the way to the chilling end.
A truly remarkable read!

Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for the arc of this book
I love James Patterson books and the Women’s murder club ones are usually superb, this one does not disappoint in any way. In fact once I started reading it I couldn’t stop and read it in a day!
It starts with us watching a killer at work through his own glasses he murders a young mother and her baby, he also murders a nosey old neighbour who tries to see what he’s doing.
But these don’t appear first on Blackout murder spree, Cindy is promoting her book that she wrote about Evan Burke the notorious serial killer who Lyndsey captured previously and who was now rotting in San Quentin Prison. After her first book signing a murder happens and a video is sent to Lyndsey from Blackout showing him murder the man, the same happens again and again but also at other times then the bodies of the mother and a child wash up and to Lyndsey it’s a horrible dejavu this is a copycat killing of Evan Burkes murders
They look at the other murders and then Blackout talks to them sayiqng things will escalate if they don’t release Evan Burke!!! Lyndsey qand the other police can’t believe it this maniac wants a mass murderer freed or he will take things to a new level who will he kill next?

This is my first James Patterson book. It was quite a ride.
It starts off with a triple murder and doesn't let up. Kept me up wanting to
know what happened next.

As brilliant as I knew and hoped it would be, always a fantastic author. The narrative starts as it means to go on with violent murder after murder, in a matter of fact punchy way which gives great shock appeal and makes you sit up and take notice from the very first paragraph.
The author gives an excellent portrayal of a relentless psychopath who takes ultra violence as day to day occurrence and as easy as my making a mug of coffee, this has great impact and makes it all the more terrifying as does the, seemingly random and innocent nature of the victims. I loved how the plot evolves involving prior serial killer incarcerated in prison and the intertwined domestic abuse storyline which is sensitively handled.
All in all heart stopping, edge of the seat stuff and a satisfying ending. Thank you.

First of all thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for the privilege of reading this book. I hadn’t read any of the books in this series before but reading this one made me want to become better acquainted with journalist Cindy Thomas, Det. Lindsay Boxer, prosecutor Yuki Castellano and chief medical examiner Claire Washburn.

The book opens with the cold-blooded murder of a mother and a baby, including a passing jogger. As Cindy goes on tour with her true crime bestseller about Evan Burke, she believes the worst of this harrowing experience is now behind her. But when her audience raise so many questions, some about the contents of Burke’s trunk—which documented thirty years of killings, including souvenirs and photos—it brings the hellish experience back. Notwithstanding a heckler in the crowd who accuses Cindy of glorifying Burke’s homicidal career. When Lindsay and Rich are called to a murder investigation in Sausalito, everything begins to fall into horrifying place.

High octane and pacey, I became immersed in every character as they were introduced. All the way through the story, the question persists. Who is Blackout? And why is he recreating Burke’s famous scenes? But more importantly, who will be next? With kill videos on the rise with no-clue clues, time is running out.
It’s well written with Patterson’s signature short chapters, dialogue that sparkles and an easy reading style that had me finishing the book in a matter of hours. Recommended.

Having read all of the previous 22 books in this series, I was keen to read the latest installment, and it didn't disappoint. Definitely one of the better recent stories for the Women's Murder Club.

Lindsey had tracked down and put away renowned serial killer Evan Burke, and jounalist friend Cindy had been granted exclusive access to him to write a bestselling book. This book follows Cindy on her book tour to promote the work. When a new killer appears on the scene, can Lindsey work out why Cindy seems to be a target and save her friend?

Lots of shocking twists, joining up Yuki's current case with Lindsey's, with easy to read page turning chapters. I always look forward to a Women's Murder Club book, and this one was a good addition to the series.
