This was adorable and my kids loved it! I hope to read more of these books to my little's over time. Especially the holiday themed ones! The illustrations were fun and well-done.

This is a quick fun rhyming read that would be great for story time. Overall, there is nothing new or spectacular and while the illustrations are different, they were also very reminiscent of Tom Parr. All together works for a book that would be read over and over and over again.

An absolute fun book, with monsters inside trucks doing things. This one digs, and that one is grumpy. Kids can learn about works and feelings through this book also. And at the very end, a new task emerge, so children has to open the book from page one to find the task. So fun!

Thanks NetGalley for the preview!

This book was vibrant and fun! Loved searching for the lady bug. A book to keep kids occupied for a long time!

Wonderfully simple, brilliantly colourful & oodles of fun.

Terrific book to share with preschoolers & you could spend ages looking at all the crazy goings-on that every page has to offer.

Perfect for lovers of monsters, trucks and silliness.

Loved this! I love books with not so scary monsters. These monsters were not only scary but they were funny which is even better. I loved the pictures and the potential for interactivity also! Will definitely be using this in a monster themed storytime!

Monsters in Trucks is a quirky, quick read, fab for holding focus and engagement with the book.
With the lively, intricate illustrations (can you find the ladybird on every page?) the book demands that attention is paid, so that you don't miss any of the hilarious action.
The rhyming text is excellent for repetition and encourages young readers to join in with the parts they know.
Brilliant for a quick giggle!

Such a fun picture book!

Monsters in Trucks is a vibrant picture book which introduces readers to a world populated by monsters who drive trucks. Many of them are busy with construction work as they build their monster city. But not all monsters are hardworking and helpful, there is also a monster thief on the loose!

Jiggly Monster makes us laugh as he waits for the toilet and we also find the Free-Ride Monster funny. We love the Dancey-Monster towing superstars and the look on the Grump Monster’s face as he ends up driving into a hole.

The illustrations are bold, brightly coloured and complement the romping rhyming text perfectly. So many different monsters engaged in so many different activities give the child plenty to talk about. It would be a fun book to read to a group of children in a preschool or early years classroom.

This book will certainly delight its target audience. The illustrations are vibrant, detailed and truly adorable. These monsters will scare no one. The rhyming text offers the perfect accompaniment. For added fun, kids can look for a ladybug in each scene.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This was a fun little rhyming story definitely geared towards younger kids. It's very short, very descriptive lines with not a whole lot of plot moving the story forward. And you find out at the end that you should've been looking for a specific item in all the scenes, which means you'll have to give it at least one re-read with your children to find those.

The illustrations were bold and busy and colorful and a part of me would love to have a coloring book version of this book, with or without the text, I don't care. These pics would just be really fun and relaxing to color I think. I could definitely see a child requesting to read this book over and over again for the rhymes and pictures. Overall I give it 4.31 out of 5 stars.

I love books that show monsters aren’t anything to be afraid of!
This one was such a fun book or read with my little one. The flow was great and the illustrations were hilarious. My kid especially loved the page about the stinky monsters!

This was cute. The drawings are fun. But since there isn’t an actual story, there’s not much to this book other than colorful little monsters in all shapes and sizes.

A super cute book for all those monster truck lovers!

Rhyming verses will have kids taping to the beat. The illustrations add to the enjoyment of the story. There's even a seek-and-find on each page.

This is a must for every child's library.

I loved all the colorful illustrations in this book and I loved the rhyming, my 2 year old son enjoyed it as well, it was a little longer book for him but it still kept his attention, I took off 1 star because it seemed just kind of random to me, no story just random things that rhymed.

Monsters in Trucks by Laura Baker is such a fun rhyming book about Monsters and their day around town. It has bright, colorful pages that babies and toddlers will love. There is even something to spot in every scene of the book, this is mentioned on the last page, however I think it should be on the first page or at the front of the book so you see it before the book is over.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the Advanced Reading Copy.
