You know when you start a Fiona Cummins book that you have to clear the decks and be prepared to delve into a world and psychology you’ve never encountered before.

Sometimes gruesome and heart wrenching but it’s so worth it. I always get so addicted to this authors books and it’s takes a while after to decompress and that for me signifies a cracking read.

Interestingly told from 3 different perspectives.

This gives such depth and detail into the storyline and as can always be expected you are in the thick of it. Digesting every detail and becoming transfixed with the plot.

Heart stopping twists - gasping out loud. Tears, heartache. You are left quite bereft but also wowed by what has happened.

It’s a very unique experience reading a Fiona Cummins novel and not for the faint hearted but it’s incredible.

It solidifies the major characters from this series, I'm all in with them now and at the same time offers us a family in crisis to root for.

It is hugely addictive and the ending provides a whole lot of tears for the soul.

I really enjoyed this book. It is fast paced yet has a lot of depth. I enjoyed the story, the ending was not what I had expected but it was a good ending. Interesting characters and a lot of twists and turns. Thoroughly recommend.

A dark and brutal fast paced crime book. It starts with a bang and doesn’t let up the whole way through. Constantly on the edge of your seat with this one. Amazingly interwoven story line and very well written. A must for anyone who detective crime books

This was not quite what I was expecting. It was an intense read, with lots of twists and turns. Sad in places and scary in others. But a good read and kept me interested right to the end.

This was a pacy, gripping, tense + captivating thriller that I flew through. The twists kept me engrossed and the writing style was brilliant. It kept me guessing till the end!

Wow I’m not sure where to start with this review. This is my first Fiona Cummings book but it certainly won’t be my last.

I loved her style of writing. I could clearly imagine in my head the scenes. It’s a Bonnie and Clyde style storyline and I loved how she gave you the background of each character. I did wonder how much heartbreak the Hardwicke family could take though and felt very protective over them. A real rollercoaster of a story.

After previously reading When I Was Ten, I couldn’t wait to read another of Fiona’s books and this absolutely did not disappoint!

I never repeat the blurb. After being away from reading for various reasons over a period of months, I was pleased that the first book I picked up was this. With characters already familiar, though flawed. the story moved swiftly and with realism, which is already appreciated. I hope that this will not be the final foray with these characters.

Fiona knows how to make me hold my breath when reading!

All of Us Are Broken starts with an impossible scene. We already know what’s going to happen at almost the end of the book and then with a heavy heart the reader is racing through the pages, not being able to put the book down, to see how did the characters end up in this situation?!

Compelling story, Bonnie & Clyde on the loose, they’re going to kill everyone and welcome their own death, leaving a murderous history behind!

How can the victims escape?

Really well written, with heartbreaking piece that made me shed a tear or two. An intense chase of insane killers, with a storyline of the broken family trying to have a nice holiday together…

It took me a while to get into this book and I even checked what reviewers were saying about it as I seriously thought of giving up. However the reviews were excellent so I stuck with it and I am just so glad I did. The tension which would not have been the same without the seemingly ( to me anyway) disjointed start was palpable. The characters were true,y flawed but oh so interesting. It read a little like some of the characters had appeared in a book before but I’m yet to investigate if this is right.
It must be a hit it’s really really good.

This is another brilliant book from Fiona Cummins, and if any book should be made into a tv film it is this book!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and being back with these characters, part of me wished I had re-read the first book as a refresher, so I will be doing in the future.

This has so much actions and twists, I also enjoyed seeing the character developments of Fox and Missy, especially how she was linked to other characters.

I could feel the tension throughout, especially Saul being hidden in the library!

This book took me a long time to get into it, there seemed to be lots of characters and different storylines going on so I didn’t really know who was who. I really enjoyed the last third of the book where I really felt it picked up the pace. All in all, it was ok but it was a bit too slow for me.

It’s dark, it’s intense, it’s suspenseful, and just utterly shocking!

This is a very well-written, fast-paced thriller, full of twists and turns that will keep you hovering at the edge of your seat till the very end.

Definitely recommend.

This is a fact.

We are all humans, and human beings are incredibly flawed, but some are more flawed than others...

This brilliant novel opens with a terrifying hostage situation in a remote but idyllic Scottish resort. Christine Hardwicke is being forced to chose between her beloved Children, Galen and Tom in a situation no parent ever wants to find themselves in.

Missy and Fox want infamy. They are violent and dangerous, and want to be remembered for all of the wrong reasons.

It is a classic case of wrong place, wrong time for the Hardwicke's.

After a harrowing year, they just wanted a break, and came up to Scotland for a holiday and to see the Dolphins at Chanonry point. But Missy and Fox are not interested in their reasons for interrupting their evening.

They just want them to pay for it.

All Of Us Are Broken is a dark, twisty, face paced rollercoaster ride of a novel. I can't say too much more as I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading!

There are times during this novel when you might want the pace to ease up a little so you can catch your breath. But the relentless pace is 100% worth it.

If you have read any of Fiona Cummins' previous books then you will know to expect dark, disturbing and gripping thrillers and her latest book All Of Us Are Broken is no exception.

Into the Dark was the first book in this new series, and whilst both books can be read as standalone, I would definitely recommend starting with book 1.

This book has the most powerful, heart-breaking, heart-racing, horrific opening chapter I think I have ever read and from that point onwards All Of Us Are Broken becomes "unputdownable".

With so many fascinating characters, this book gets right under your skin. If you aren't feeling sympathy and love towards the family who are faced with an impossible decision, then you are feeling horrified and disbelief towards the pair of criminals determined to become famous for all the wrong reasons.

With multi-layered plotlines that seamlessly come together towards the end, this book is a masterclass in crime thrillers.

Having recently read and thoroughly enjoyed Into the Dark, it was great to see DC Saul Anguish grow as a character and also to see how his relationship with Blue develops in the latest book. Eagle-eyed readers might remember Saul from The Collector in 2017 and it's fascinating to watch him justify his darker side to himself as he tries to control his emotions throughout the series.

In a nutshell, if you enjoy dark and gripping crime thrillers with plenty of violence, moral dilemmas, senseless murders, damaged individuals and enough tension to keep you turning those pages, then I would highly recommend this book.
