This is the story of Mellie the Mermaid who says she is not scared of anything. Mellie soon finds out that there is in fact something she is afraid of and she swims back home. After getting home Mellie says eh will never go to the deep deep water again but her parents tell her she can still go to the deep deep water she just needs to be aware and ensure she returns home safely.

The illustrations are very colorful and engaging. The story is cute and holds kids attention and the shark was a nice little twist. The rhyming was off a bit but other than that, great

Mellie is told by her Dad to be careful when she swims off into the deep, blue sea, but she is not scared of anything, or so she thinks! She isn’t scared of shipwrecks, or little fish. Even stinging and biting creatures don’t worry her. She finds a blue octopus interesting, and enjoys seeing the coral. However, what will Mellie do when she sees something that really does frighten her?

Children will love this book with its beautiful illustrations, and fun but educational story. What could be better than a mermaid having adventures?

Mellie the Mermaid is adorable! I read this with my children and they loved the beautiful illustrations and the story. I do wish there had been a little bit more content at the end and it would have ended more with a resolution to her fear other than her parents responses. The book prompted great discussion with my little ones about fear.

A simple story but will be well liked by children with sea creatures and a shark showing Millie has can still be brave and have some realistic fears. I enjoyed and will be read to my children.

My little 4 year old loved Mellie the Mermaid: Is Not Scared of Anything. He loved the illustrations and the vibrant colours. He engaged with the story pointing out the creatures as Mellie swam past them, he even shouted out when the shark appeared.
I thought the story was well written and I liked how some of the lines rhymed.
Overall we found this to be a nice little enjoyable story.

A very sweet picture book depicting a mermaid who is a little too confident about never being scared!

Mellie is very curious and loves to explore the giant ocean, her parents remind her to be careful but this small mermaid is adamant she will be fine on her adventures.

It is a very good reminder to children that they should be curious but cautious as well.

The illustrations are beautiful and capture the sea and it’s creatures perfectly - eels, octupi and a shark.

This is a lovely story about a mermaid who isn't scared, and likes having adventures in the deep, deep blue. However, we also see that it is ok if you are scared and the importance of staying safe.

The premise of the story is great, a young mermaid facing her fears! The images were bright and colorful and looked fantastic. The rhyming felt a bit forced at times though and some areas while reading aloud are kind of rough. It is a cute story that kids will enjoy though.

A story about a young mermaid who has no fear of anything, which includes not being afraid of exploring the ocean where the fish, sharks, eels, etc., live around her. Her parents encourage her to explore but remind her that some things could be scary, like the old shipwreck they call Nellie. Mellie proves them wrong in the end. Her family is so proud of her, but her parents also help her to understand that being scared is ok. Sometimes we all can be a little scared.

A fun read for young preschool children and children entering school. An excellent way to discuss learning through exploring, even if we are a little scared. An emotional intelligence lesson through a cute picture book. I would read this to my preschool child or in my kindergarten or first-grade reading groups. I enjoyed the beautiful artwork and the cute expressions on Mellie's face throughout the book as she was brave or scared.

The title and the cover totally caught my attention! Im in awe of the colorful and cute graphics! Great message that its OKAY to have fears! And its okay to want to be adventurous but be safe while doing so. I know my toddler nieces will love this book!

I am a fan of children's books (although I am already 24 years old xd) and this one is not an exception. I loved the color palette, the textures and the drawing style.

<b>Mellie the Mermaid</b> is about a brave and fearless little mermaid who decides to sail into the depths of the ocean to visit an old ship. During her trip we realize that, indeed, Mellie is not afraid of anything but when she reaches the ship things change.

What I like the most is that Mellie's parents don't forbid her to explore and be herself, they just tell her that she has to be careful and warn her about some dangers. And then when she comes back and says that maybe she is afraid of something, they validate her emotions.

It's really worth it.

I like the message and art, but the ending was kind of abrupt. I think more of an explanation of why fear can be helpful would have been a good addition.

A really fun story loved the colours of the pictures. My daughter loved this too she loves mermaids so was a definite win for her.

I liked the overall message of facing one’s fears. The illustrations were gorgeous. I believe it was a very cute book for children. My only small complaint was that it didn’t transfer as well on my kindle. So pretty much all the pages were broken up.
