This felt like a really bad knock-off of Ashley Poston's Dead Romantics. It was super bad. Like I hated every character and I don't think there was anything redeemable about this book; especially not that it felt like a Temu version of a great romance with the same vibes.

Great book. Great story. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I know it might sound bad but I did not have very high expectations for this book.

"Ghosted" by Rosie Mullender is a hilarious and heart-warming rom-com that adds a supernatural twist to the classic tale of lost love.
Emily thought she had moved on from being ghosted by Andy, until she discovers that he didn't ghost her after all—he died. As if that revelation isn't shocking enough, Andy then appears in her flat as a ghost, seeking her help to solve the mystery of his death.
Mullender's writing is witty and engaging, weaving together humour, romance, and a touch of the supernatural with seamless ease. As Emily and Andy team up to uncover the truth behind his demise, sparks fly and old feelings resurface, complicating matters in unexpected ways.
"Ghosted" is a delightful read that will leave readers laughing out loud and swooning over the charming chemistry between Emily and Andy. Mullender expertly balances the paranormal elements with genuine emotion, creating a story that is both heart-warming and utterly charming.

What I liked the most about the Ghosted was all the layers we got. The world building was absolutely incredible. Mullender, for sure is one genius for this book.

After a slightly slow start, the book really picks up and pulls you along for a fun journey through somewhat magical/supernatural romcom shenanigans. And even though the main character is not always the most relatable, the writing flows easily, and the story ends in a way that leaves you perfectly satisfied!

It didn't disappoint, and although I found the main character to be quite frustrating at times, I was pleased with the character development. There wasn't a single part of this story I did not enjoy and I loved the special 'cameos'! Thank you for this wonderful read and I will most definitely look out for more from this talented author.

Read this one from beginning to end in one day - I adore romcoms with a slightly magical spin. SUCH a unique concept, really fresh and funny, and full of characters that I couldn't stop thinking about!

If I'm honest I've been struggling with this one for a while now but I finally managed to finish it last month.
The first part is very slow moving and some of the choices Emily made didn't sit right with me so it was a struggle to empathise with her.
The writing however was very easy to read and I did enjoy the last part which had some really good twists.
Many thanks to netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
I really loved the synopsis of this book and felt it was fabulously written. I really felt for Emily who had her heart broken when she was 'ghosted' by the guy she was seeing, Andy, only to discover later on when playing with a ouija board at a party that he didn't ghost her, he died - OMG! This book had me laughing out loud and crying, was a really good rom com that I loved from start to finish and it was such a heart-warming, feel good book.

After seeing a lot online about Rosie Mullender’s debut novel, I was excited to read a book by her to see what I would think. Ghosted is a funny and delightful rom-com with a supernatural twist and I had fun reading it.
A year ago, Emily was ghosted. She’s over it now, Andy was never part of the plan so now she is working on Project New Emily. Any thoughts about him are in the past until his name is spelt out on a Ouija board at a party. Turns out he didn’t ghost her, he’d died. Just as she’s trying to work out how she feels, Andy turns up in her flat as a ghost. She must confront her unresolved feelings and help him solve the mystery of his death.
It took me a little while to get into this book. The pace at the start of the book is quite slow so it took some time to learn about the characters, bring Andy into the picture and hook you in. But, there is one moment about 50 pages into the book that took my interest immediately and I was hooked. From then on, I kept wanting to find moments throughout the day to read more.
The characters in Ghosted are relatable and adorable. I enjoyed reading about Emily’s journey of self-discovery and watching her grow throughout the book. Andy is easily my favourite character in this book. He is funny, endearing and you can’t help but want what’s best for him. Each of the characters were a joy to read about. I loved the interactions between them and Emily.
There were a number of times whilst reading this book that I found myself laughing out loud. Most of the time this was because of the banter between Andy and Emily being such a delight. Other times it was at situations Emily found herself in and what happened because of that.
Rosie Mullender skilfully balances these funny moments with some extremely heartfelt moments. Her writing is some I’d definitely like to read more of in the future. I’ve actually ordered her debut to hopefully read very soon.
Overall, Ghosted is a fun and unique take on the rom-com genre with a supernatural twist adding a layer of humour and interest. It is light-hearted but has a meaningful story and I’d certainly recommend it.

Now, the premise of this book sounded really interesting. But sadly I found a lot of to be incredibly frustrating.
The amount of times I felt like literally shaking Emily was far too many.
It ended up putting me off as I just couldn't get behind what she was doing.
Andy also felt much more immature than his age, so neither of the main characters was really doing it for me.
The writing style was good, so I would be open to reading from from Rosie Mullender in the future but this just wasn't my favourite.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The worst book I have read in 2023!
Ghosted follows Emily after she realises that past flame, Andy, died in a freak accident. When Andy’s ghost turns up in Emily’s flat, she is forced to reconsider her current attitude to dating.
Unfortunately I don’t have many positives to say about this book. It was not funny, the plot was a mess and the main character was hugely unlikable.
With predictable plot points, this book was unenjoyable from start to finish.

Sorry, maybe it’s my age and I’m not the target market but I got about 40% of the way through before giving up.
Found Emily really hard to empathise with and Andy was just too much like a puppy in ghostly human form.
This was a DNF.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy for me to read and review.

This book was so much more than a romance. There was mystery too and some of the twists had me having to put the book down for a moment to process ! So good! There were also some laugh out loud moments in this book - it really does have a bit of everything.
I’ve read quite a few short books recently so when I saw it was 400 pages I was expecting it to take ages but it was so good I flew through this book and just didn’t want to put it down ! I really enjoyed the writing style which made it easy to read.
To begin with the constant trying to be ‘new Emily’ really irritated me but as the book went on it became easier to understand and almost sympathise with Emily. I felt there was good story and character development portrayed in this book.
Andy was so funny I really enjoyed him as a character . He was just so pure - for that reason he sometimes reminded me of a child. Just trust me you’ll love him. He made my heart hurt.
There also has to be a special mention for Zoe, Mary and ‘Churchill’.
As a uk resident I loved that this book was set in the uk and had so many references such as the jorvick Viking museum, Hollywood bowl and the big issue. It may sound strange but it made me feel at home.
This book was heartbreaking in some ways and yet also felt like a big hug. The ending was just everything it needed to be. Please if you haven’t read it yet give it a chance. I would highly recommend this book.

I really liked this book. It's a sort of cosy mystery rom com hybrid and I can't say I've ever read anything like it before.
However I did not like our main character Emily. She's self centred and honestly just not very nice. Andy deserved better in so many ways. Sure the point of the book is her changing between Old Emily and New Emily but New Emily is annoying and idiotic.
If you can put your dislike of Emily aside (which does get easier) this was a fun and interesting read and I would like to read more books by Rosie Mullender.

This is a good read about the main character in the book who gets ghosted by a man that she was dating. However it turns out that he didn't actually ghost her but died. He turns up as a ghost in her flat to help her move on and find a new mate.

Who knew ghosting was such a huge thing, reading this book has really opened my eyes to how much of a thing it really is. Emily was ghosted a year ago, she's now working on being the new Emily and moving on, that is until she learns that she wasn"t actually ghosted by Andy, he died......... Things take a bizare turn when the ghost of Andy appers in her home. While this is funny and feel good im not a huge lover of ghosts and paranormal things so at times i found it gave me a few chills.

Thanks NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book!
I've heard so many good reviews about this book and was so excited to read it! However, I got in a reading slump and was not able to finish my copy before it was archived. Will definitely need more time to read and gather my thoughts for a proper review but I'm sure it is going to be a quick and enjoyable read!

This was a light and fun read given that it's centred around the mystery death of Andy, who's shadowing his previous love interest. While it was funny and entertaining, it just meandered too much for me. It was trying to show us more about Emily but it spent too long in the side details. She also really frustrated me as a main character. The writing style is what really keeps this good. Rosie Mullender writes in such a lively way, I'd still pick up something else by her.

I think Andy may be one of my favourite characters in a book ever. He was such a pure soul - we all need an Andy ghost guiding our life!
Emily was completely relatable in a totally exaggerated way. We’ve all felt the struggles to fit in and change ourselves for the ‘better’.
A really lovely story, where true friendship speaks volumes
