We loved reading this beautiful story set in the kitchen of a hotel in the run up to a visit from a very important guest. Everything runs smoothly until it doesn’t and then the power of determination and teamwork saves the day. We loved the messages of believing in yourself and dreaming big and the illustrations were beautiful. There was so much to look at on every page, my daughter and I kept going back to see what else we could spot.

A lovely story to share and one that would make a great book to read or study in class too.

Read this with my 10yo son. He loved the artwork and said it was awesome. It made him hungry. We bold struggled to pronounce Profiterole and had to look it up. The story was interesting and fun. I would definitely recommend. Good kid books are hard to find.

My four year old son and I both really enjoyed this engaging book. The illustrations are gorgeous. The message in book is a great one for children. Follow your dreams, work hard, and that everyone plays an important roll whether it is big or small. A really lovely children’s book.

I've just read this with my 4 year old nephew and we both loved it. Every day at the Incredible Hotel begins with Stefan waking up to make the coffee but what he really wants is to become a chef. When the hotel starts preparing for a very important guest, Stefan tries to help Chef Zagat to build the biggest most profiteroley tower ever but Chef Zagat doesn't want his help and makes Stefan leave the hotel.

The illustrations in this book are so detailed and the story is lovely. Obviously we had to have profiteroles afterwards too!

I love picture books and this one is fantastic. Cakes feature a lot which makes it even better! The Incredible Hotel follows Stefan as he works hard in The Incredible Hotel and dreams of being a pastry chef despite no-one else believing he can be one. After a disaster on the Hotel's 100th birthday Stefan saves the day and his dream comes true.

The illustrations are beautiful and add to the text. I love the extras of spotting the cat and mouse on each page.

A lovely book about believing in yourself and following your dreams even if people try to stop you

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read and review this title.

I finished the book so quickly and I didn't want it to end. I wanted to read about more baking and delicious desserts. The illustrations in the book are so cute. It teaches a valuable life lesson to children to dream big and believe in yourself.

A fun story about a hotel and following your dreams. Stefan is desperate to show his skills in the kitchen and finally gets his chance.

I really enjoyed this, particularly the Grand Budapest Hotel vibes! The illustrations are magical. My only complaint is that the chef was SO MEAN to Stefan! I would love to read this for a story time, and can imagine some wonderful pastry themed crafts to go along with it, but am a little hesitant because of how cruel the chef is. I'm glad the conflict was resolved and Stefan does end up appreciated in the end, and the cast of characters showed some diversity.

A cute book about following your dreams and that everyone is important. I could see myself using this book for a morning meeting on either of these two lessons.

This was an adorable story that really tugged at my mama heart. My kids also loved it - which is the biggest compliment!

The Incredible Hotel is a delightfully written childrens story about a young Kitchen Porter in a posh hotel that has aspirations of being a chef. The story centres on Stefan. Although "only a kitchen porter", this book reminds everyone that even small cogs are part of a well-oiled machine. I'd recommend this book for parents of children aged 4 and over. The perfect bedtime story.

This is a sweet story of acceptance and perseverance, and understanding when you were wrong and making amends. Stefan is a dutiful porter at the Incredible Hotel who dreams of being a chef, and his hard work makes sure everything else can run smoothly. When the Duchess is due to arrive for the hotel's centennial, Chef Zagat's rudeness to Stefan causes him to leave. Without Stefan things crumble... until Stefan returns to help, and Chef Zagat apologizes for being dismissive and curt, and offers Stefan a job as a pastry chef. A beautifully illustrated story with Wes Anderson vibes for kids.

The Incredible Hotel is about people working in a hotel. I got attracted by that description - oh, wow, this book will teach children what goes on in a hotel. It’s a story about a hotel and its staff members - a manager, a chef, and a kitchen porter.

More than the story, the illustrations are simply captivating. It is full of details, there is no corner of the page that will not leave you uninterested. Like the blurb says, the book has a style that evokes Wes Anderson-esque imaginary worlds. And it is true. Everything on the page is done with more attention and detail than one can imagine.

Read it for the story, stay for the illustrations.

Thank you so much to Quarto publishing/ Frances Lincoln Children’s and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

The incredible hotel runs in a perfect way, one task connects to others and it runs at perfect pace. Until one day when they are stressed o er the duchess arriving Stefan the Porter gets fired. This causes chaos at the hotel but he was ready to help out and save the incredible hotel.

I really loved the illustrations on each page and the way they were laid out seeing each room in the hotel and how each staff member looked. It was a great picture book to look at each image that was there.

This was a really whimsical and funny book, so easy and fun to read. Stefan wanted to be more than just a Porter but that was his job and he was an important member if staff, though he wasn’t appreciated. When everything goes wrong he steps up to prove exactly how important he was and that he could bake and save the hotel.

If you want a beautiful book to look at with your children this is it, the illustrations really are so nice to see. The story is so funny and really easy to read and they’ll be rooting for Stefan. I think Children will really enjoy reading this one.

Is this over already?! I kept turning the pages but I reached the end and now, I am sad.

This was such an incredible little story with stunning illustrations! We hear the story of Stefan, a little boy at the Incredible Hotel who's only wish is to become a pastry chef. When a duchess comes visiting the hotel, Stefan has a chance to make the best profiterole tower in imagination to amaze the duchess and save the day. I adored this story to bits, it was so unique and cute! I had massive Grand Budapest Hotel vibes, but it was unique enough to not feel like straight out of a Wes Anderson film. I loved the art style and the way the story was built up. Once it comes out in September this year, I highly recommend you all to pick it up for yourselves!

Stefan, a diligent kitchen porter, performs heavy kitchen duties at The Incredible Hotel. His dream, however, is to become a chef. Stefan steps in when a fire disrupts the preparations for the Grand Ball on the day of the Duchess of Delaunay's arrival. Despite the staff's doubts about his abilities, he saves the day by baking a mouthwatering profiterole tower for the Duchess.

The Incredible Hotel celebrates perseverance, ambition, and the importance of every role, no matter how small. It discusses how hard work can help us overcome assumptions and judgments and prompts us to persist in our dreams, no matter the hurdles we face.

This is a cute story about a little boy's role in a grand hotel. Stefan is greatly underappreciated until disaster strikes! I am in love with the illustrations! They are beautiful! His profiterole tower! 🤩 The chosen font compliments the illustrations. The story flows well. It's very inclusive of all ethnicities which is fantastic. This would make a lovely addition to any bookshelf.
