A fab cookbook for people with children. I cant wait to try out some of the recipes with my toddler. All recipes are well set out and presented
Great little guide to first foods for your little ones. The recipes are quick and easy options to starting your littles. I wish there were more recipes included but this would make a great gift for new moms.
I received complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Small Tummies , Delicious Flavors is a cookbook for delicate tummies that consists of easy to follow recipes that are yummy , delicious and in fact agreeable to sensitive issues. Absolutely enjoyed this delicious, easy to follow, well written and documented book.
As a mom to a toddler, I was really looking forward to reading this book. It's always a challenge as a parent to find things for our little ones to eat, and to get some variety into their food. While this book did have some good looking recipes, I felt like it fell a little bit short. None of the recipes seemed very novel and there weren't nearly enough in the book. However, it would be a good read if someone is just starting out feeding their little one.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
What a lovely collection of delicious recipes for your little one(s). Each is simple to make, using realistic ingredients that we tend to already have at home. This is a proper cookbook for real parents and babies - there’s nothing ‘faddy’ or unrealistic - just a wide variety of wholesome, yummy dishes. This has everything, from breakfasts, snacks, and everything in between.
Would definitely recommend.

I am so used to mothers yanking out pouches and jars as they are too lazy to cook or puree their meals for their kids so am fascinated by a dear friend who is doing baby-led-weaning. Mia eats what her parents eat, although sometimes in a different, softer format and she is a good eater…I swear that she eats better than I do. Her favourites are scrambled eggs (cut into strips that she chews), strips of plain chicken, avocado, blueberries, and smoothies made with veggies and toast and if you give her a pouch, she will throw it back at you! (Atta girl!) The fellow 29 daycare children at her place? None were baby-led weaning, and the other mothers are amazed at her appetite and abilities!
This can keep your baby in soft food, pureed foods or foods cut down in size to make it easy for them to eat (pancakes for one) – even I would possibly drink the smoothies and I hate smoothies (it’s a texture thing). The book is definitely worth a try to get feeding time not to be a battle…remember mothers, YOU ARE IN CHARGE AND YOU DO NOT RUN A RESTAURANT. Keep it that way or you will be making 3 different meals for 3 kids at a time like my one SIL does…don’t say “What do you want for dinner?” – give them dinner and make them eat it…generations were raised that way and your wee snowflakes will survive with the help of this book.
