I was able to read this as a free ebook on Netgalley and absolutely loved it.
Harlem was just so stupidly loveable with the way he was woefully unprepared in the ways of heroing, it was comical.
He meets his own personal hero, Lannis, who swooped in to save the day when Harlem was 8 years old and sparked his desire to become a hero too.
I just loved everything about this book but my favorite part of all was Harlem's interactions with Baba Agnus.
In response to the lady who refused to read the book because the author also writes erotica, you really missed out on a great read and I think it's unfortunate that you judged the author, rather than the book itself. Plenty of authors write books for different genres, it doesn't mean every book will have the same theme. I hope you give the book a second chance and maybe even updating your review once you have.
I seriously enjoyed this book. Harlem had the knack to get into some hilarious scrapes and somehow escape them unscathed (or mostly unscathed). The author's asides and descriptions had me laughing out loud at some points. I am hoping for a continuation of Harlem's story.
My only issue was that there were some spelling errors but they did not detract from the story's appeal.
There was some adult language as well as situations so this is definitely not a book for teens or children.
