IMI by An Noy is an absolutely stunning book that we just can’t get enough of. To start with, the breathtaking illustrations pull you into the story. They are so colorful, so lifelike and give you an amazing feeling of comfort looking at them. When the little meerkat is having a hard day he just about gives up on the day, until an unexpected pick-me-up comes along. The little meerkat was having a hard time adjusting to new things. But there in the shadow a sparkle comes along. It was a sparkling speck in the darkness. It is an IMI, something that came along to break the unhappiness and give some inspiration. “Like a rainbow at the end of a storm” the imi shows the meerkat how to look for the sparkle around him even when he only feels or sees the darkness. The imi shows him that when you can find that sparkle you know things can get better. I can not brag about this book enough. It was so charming, so adorable and so comforting. Even to my little one who understood what was happening and how he can look for the sparkle in his darkness too. I received this as an ARC but we will be buying it to add it to our own library to share over and over again. We will be gifting it to some friends as well. This book is great for those of us with littles that sometimes struggle when things are new and hard and they can’t seem to find that little light. This book is so encouraging to children and I have to say it was encouraging and meaningful to me as well. We look for our own IMI now and it's amazing what little sparks we can find to light our way. I highly recommend this book to all families and to share with friends and family too. I also think it would be wonderful to share in classrooms as well. Please enjoy this little adventure.

imi is a beautifully illustrated story for all ages, written and illustrated by An Noy. Released 25th Aug 2023, it's 40 pages and is available in paperback and ebook formats. For Kindle Unlimited subscribers, this book is currently included in the KU subscription library to borrow and read for free.

This is such a sweet and uplifting story about a little meerkat who's having a hard day. He's struggling to adjust to some changes and he's not feeling well, so his family are off hunting for food while he stays in his burrow. He soon has adventures with a newfound friend and sees that life can be a good place after all.

This is such a sweetly illustrated book. It's electronically illustrated in a very colorful and appealing style. This would make very good selection for public or school library acquisition, as well as gift giving and home use. All ages appropriate, it will likely be a bedtime favorite. The illustrations are full of small details which invite a deeper look.

Although the images were absolutely stunning, I found that the images in imi, especially in the beginning, didn't match the text. Saying that I think kids will love it because Meerkat is so cute and the positive message was clear.

Wow, what a cute and uplifting children's book this is. A little meerkat has been struggling to sleep, and he isn't feeling well, so he spends the day alone while his family go and look for food. He sees a sparkling light in his shadow, and he talks to it. It talks back to him, and together they play, have fun, and spend the day together. At night, Meerkat is finally tired, and he is able to sleep.

This is a wonderful book, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The beautiful illustrations in the book were gorgeous, and the text was very easy to read. This is a heartwarming book, which all children will love! Highly recommended!

IMI is the sweetest, most delightful, adorably illustrated, children's book (for young readers and younger children to be read to). It's so inspiring and heartfelt, and children will love the illustrations. (I did!) Perfect choice for those inevitable "feeling-down" moments!
