I will say first that I liked the character John Chayne who I will say is the main character. A lot is going on in this book from the time he leaves New York until he gets back to the Reservation that he grew up on. There the story goes in many different paths and there is a lot of violence so you do need to be aware of that. All of that I was able to read this book in a few hours and it was okay.
The premise of this story was good, and the character of John Chayne was extremely interesting and intriguing. But the story was so convoluted it was a hard slog to get through. I received an ARC from NetGalley and the opinions expressed are my own.
After starting to read this book, I soon realised it was a lot of nonsense. Unfortunately, as an optimistic person, I kept reading, and found this to be one of the worst books I've ever read. There is no suspense, no entertainment, only frustration.
Wow I was really looking forward to reading this after seeing the cover and then reading the description and I wasn’t disappointed. I really enjoyed reading it.
The story is great and I got into it straight away. What I loved was how the author has put lots of thoughts into the details of the main characters throughout the book.
The ending wasn’t what I was expecting it to be and would never had guessed it. Well done on that.
