Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

I just love the title and the cover of this book and enjoyed reading it as well. Romilly is a great character and one we can all relate to in one way or another. This is a story of change, life, community and so much more.

An easy to read book that I devoured in a day. Set in a cosy, small town with numerous characters that you get to know which was fun. This is a heart-warming, fun, entertaining and very enjoyable read. Well written, great story and just an overall great read. 4 1/2 stars from me.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

A single mom learning to find herself after a move to a small countryside town with her two daughters is often enough to grip me but this story had so many other wonderful elements: the enemies-to-lovers trope, the lovely, older gentleman who captures the readers hearts, and of course my favourite beverage: COFFEE!

I loved this book and devoured it in approximately 2 days.

This is a cute fall romance that you can have over a cup of pumpkin spice as you read this but it just wasn’t something that I was able to get into.

Enjoyed the soft vibes of the entire novel and how the love story was a steady simmer vs the usual boiling passion.

This is a super cute book, I really enjoyed it! The author set up some strong characters, settings and storyline. I would definitely read from them again

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book. I wish I had enjoyed it.

So, our main character is unsatisfied in her marriage. She picks herself and her two daughters up and goes back to her hometown....I think. Honestly, I only read about 4% of this book. I hated every page. I could not force myself to read any more. The idea of reading another sentence made me sad. I had decided that the author was a very old woman trying to sound young and failing. One of the first sentences of the whole thing was "Eloise was dressed on fleek as usual" or something like that. I literally rolled my eyes and said, "oh boy." As the first chapter continued, it was obvious that I was not going to connect with any of these characters. I rarely ever DNF books and normally I try to get about 50% through a book before I decide it's not for me to give the story some time to develop. However, I knew from about page two that I would not finish this book and did not want to waste any more time on it. My TBR is too long and there are other NetGalley titles that I need to get through that I believe I will enjoy much more.

I confess - the opening pages had me a bit thrown - who are these women? Where are they going? WHY all the drama?

Thankfully, I am not one to make snap judgments, and I stuck with the story a few more pages - and Fiona Woodifield totally sucked me in.

If you are a fan of feel-good stories (and I HATE it when a book is described as a "feel-good", by the way), of stories of women rediscovering themselves, of found family - this is the book for you. Romilly Greene is a more common character than one might think, and I feel like a lot of women will relate to her - and take heart in her bravery to walk away and start over. (Albeit, she gets a lot of help from a very plucky community.)

A delightful read despite the much more serious underlying topic of her gaslighting, emotionally manipulative husband.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC
Brew yourself a cup of coffee before you sit down with this book, because that is all you will be thinking about.
I found this story very relatable. Romilly is a bit of a people pleaser, who when her marriage falls apart, takes her two daughters and runs off to a cute little village to start her new life.
The relationship between Romilly and her daughters was beautiful, and the love story wasn’t forced. There was more than one love interest, which made it less predictable.
The village of Melstock is everything you want in a cozy smalltown romance, including a cast of characters that you will fall in love with

I had a wonderful time reading this joyful but also heartfelt story. I was gripped from the start and continued until the end, I have to admit that I had several cups of coffee while reading.
It is a perfect cozy story for a day just like today, rainy and cold.to curl up on the sofa under warm blankets and just read.

Romilly is dreaming of something better but is not quite sure what that might be. All she knows is that remaining in her marriage is not where she wants to be. She decides to take her two daughters and run away from it all.

Finding a safe haven in Melstock, her childhood holiday place, she tries to create a new life. She lands a job at the coffee factory where she rather quickly suggests improvements to their marketing and profitability, but it turns out that the owners are adamant on selling.

Mark Whittaker, the rather two-faced and abrupt owner of the local country estate and all-round in charge of the area, takes an interest in Romilly in his own eccentric ways.

In typical family life, one of the daughters is being bullied at school and the other one has a teacher who's downright hostile to Romilly. Navigating all the new challenges, including her ex who keeps popping up, Romilly has plenty on her plate.

This is a feel-good story with a HEA for all of those who love close-knit communities and second chances.

Fantastic read, well written and great storyline and characters.
Romilly is in a controlling relationship but when she decides to up sticks with her two girls there can be some hilarious mishaps. But is she strong enough to stay
Throughly enjoyed

As an Australian reader, used to American novels, this was very British, even considering the other British novels I've read.
But I really enjoyed it. It was so great watching Romilly come into her own and see her daughters begin to thrive in their new environment.
I liked the friendships she made and her standing up to her husband.
Some of her skills like speed reading/skimming and understanding legal jargon seemed to appear out of nowhere because readers are led to believe she didn't have much freedom in her marriage.
I would have liked to see someone from her old life support her, especially her family.
I received a copy via NetGalley and all opinions are my own.

What better way to draw someone in than romance and coffee?! Not only that but such a cozy small town countryside feel. Although I love a romance book, I loved the relationship between Romilly and her daughter even more - it reminded me a lot of the relationships between my mom and us three girls. A romance book with a more mature main female character (single mom with kids etc) is refreshing. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for that snuggle up with a book and a warm drink kind of mood

Thank you NetGalley and Fiona Woodifield for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to read this book because I wanted a cute fall romance. With the cover and title, I felt like that would meet that need for me. And it did! I felt as if the beginning of the book was a little slow for me to get into, but that may have been because it took me a second to get used to the British accents and words. I noticed I started really getting into the book and falling for the characters whenever I was screaming at Romilly for not picking up on how terrible a certain someone was. I wanted to be like RUUUNNNN!!!! Also, who doesn’t love a single mom taking over her life in a small town and saving a local business? Truly, just soooo cute. Overall, it really hit that need that I wanted to read a fall book!

****SPOILER INFO I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars mainly because I wanted more romance and info about Romilly and Mr. Barton. Maybe more about some dates they went on or something?
