This penguin is very cute. Good pictures. The toddler was laughing at this little guy looking for his lost friend.

A picture book that I'm not sure what I was reading but the pictures were awesome. But I don't know if I would suggest it to anyone's collection.

This is a cute picture book about a penguin that loses their stuffy. They’re stuffy is their best friend and they take it everywhere until one day when they are so tired Mikki Olson gets lost. Then the penguin spins the day trying to find Mikki. This book was lovely. The illustrations match And lots of kids well understand and enjoy the sentiments of this book.

Penguin loves Mikki Olsen, and takes him everywhere he goes. But one day, Mikki Olsen is disappears, and Penguin goes looking for him.

This was definitely super cute and funny! We all had this particular plush as kids that we would bring with us all the time, so I’m pretty sure the young audience will relate to this, too! The illustrations are adorable as well, and it’s just super funny to spot Nikki Olsen in each of them while Penguin keeps looking for him.

What a cute first reader book. Penguin has a stuffed bear, Mikki Olsen, which he takes everywhere to do everything he is doing. They “eat breakfast” together. They go to chop wood which must be a daily chore for penguin. Penguin sets everything on a tree stump nearby and he continues to split wood. By the end of the day he is exhausted and sits down. Yes, on top of Mikki Olsen Penguin is so tired he never even noticed the lump he was sitting on was Mikki Olson he went home, then straight to bed. Only then, the next morning didhe notices Mikki Olsen isn’t sleeping on his chest. He tears his room apart looking for Mikki Olsen. When he doesn’t find him in the bedroom, he retraces the places they went together yesterday.. Very good story to read aloud together and to be able to pull out and read any time.,just keep it in the child’s library for easy access. This has a very good lesson. I would definitely recommend for first readers, whether it be for the home library or the school library. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, Frances Lincoln, First Edition Publications, and author, Alex McDonald for allowing me to read early and to give my own honest opinion. Go and get your copy before the kids head back to school.. you will enjoy it too

A cute and funny winter read for all children. A silly book that children will get to interact with by trying to tell Penguin where his favorite stuffed toy is. I would recommend this title to young readers who are looking for a silly, laugh-out-loud story.

This is a nice story about a penguin who loses their lovey. It's a good alternative to Knuffle Bunny, which my daughter found stressful when she was young. The gentle humor of the lovey being stuck on the penguin's bum is hilarious for little people.

Thank you NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review. My library will purchase a copy.

We have found another wonderful book to add to your bedtime routine. This new book by Alex Macdonald is so well written and full of charm and simple humor that your little ones will love. Penguin has a stuffed animal named Mikki Olsen, and it goes everywhere with him. When he wakes up and finds it missing he goes on an adventure to find him, little did he know he was with him the whole time. This adorable story helps children see the fun in sometimes sad moments and looking for details around them. Your child will love finding that bright pink Mikki Olsen on every page in the wonderful illustrations that bring this simple but amazing story to life. It is a great read to help our little ones unwind after their busy days. You will love this adventure. We sure did.

The illustrations are cute, and the story about searching for a beloved lost stuffed animal is relatable, but I would have preferred this if the penguin had been able to find Mikki Olsen through retracing his steps and using deduction, without the silly gag about the stuffed animal being stuck to Penguin's backside the whole time. Many kids will find that funny, but it makes the Penguin seem overly oblivious, and it doesn't reflect the real process of finding a lost toy.

My 6 year old found this book hilarious and kept trying to tell the penguin where his Teddy was. Kept him entertained.

This is a really cute picture book that I can't wait to buy for my library. I love penguins, but the fact that the penguin had a stuffed animal that went everywhere with them just like I did as a kid, put it at the top of my favorite penguin books.

Mikki Olsen is Penguin's favorite toy who gets lost after one very busy day. He is upset and looks EVERYWHERE until he finds him by happenstance. A very happy ending to a meticulous search!
The illustrations by the author are fun, simple, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!

This is just the cutest little story ever!!

Penguin loves his teddy, Mikki Olsen, and he takes him everywhere, until one day, he can't find him anywhere.....Can penguin find Mikki?

I adore the simplicity of this story and think it would become a firm favourite for bedtime story time.

I love that the lost teddy can be seen on each page, so your little one can interact with the story while you're reading.

The illustrations were super cute - I love penguins anyway, but this one was totally adorable.

💕Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my ARC copy - this is my honest review 💕

This book was very sweet and a lot of fun. The animation style is gorgeous and immediately captivating. Perfect read for little ones who will definitely love this!

A very sweet story for reading with young children, especially on an individual basis. Throughout, there are richly-coloured illustrations that are lovely, but not in the overly bright style often used in contemporary picture books. It makes it stand out from the competition, yet also means it wouldn't naturally appeal when placed on a shelf.

I absolutely adore penguins so I of course had to get this book. It's as adorable as it looks! For some reason I was expecting Mikki Olsen to be the penguin, but no, Mikki Olsen is the penguin's teddy bear who goes everywhere with him. But one day he can't find Mikki and goes on a search for him. The story is so cute, a lovely tale of trying to find something you've lost when it could be right under your nose. The illustrations were gorgeous; not too fussy but engaging and beautiful. Some of them looked painted, particularly the sea looked like it had been done in acrylic paints which I loved. The little ones will enjoy spotting Mikki Olsen while the penguin can't find him so it'll be a funny little story for them too. I could totally see this being a favourite bedtime story with little ones wanting it read to them every night.

This book is so cute! I love penguins, and I especially love children's books with adorable illustrations.
I'm going to rate this book a 5 star, because I think many children will enjoy this story, especially given that the missing stuffed friend was essentially stuck in the penguins backside.

What a heartwarming little story of a little penguin and his stuffed toy! It shows you life in the Arctic (anthromorphized, though I wish it were a little more real) for a little Penguin and has a bit of humor. The illustrations are just darling and perfect to catch the eyes of little babies.
I received this eARC from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions my own.
