I have read previous books by this author and I have to say that she is my favorite romantic suspense author. Her style is similar to Nora Roberts and I adore that her books always contain my favorite thing in the world DOGS. In this book we follow the story of Belle as she is a massage business owner and she has a unwanted secret admirer. It may be unwanted attention but she is also getting some wanted attention from a hot police officer. Will it turn out to be love?
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. I have found a new favorite author! I loved loved this book. Woody a police officer is living in the small town, happy with his little dog cupcake. Belle seems to have a stalker and after an initial complaint she keeps running into Woody and the interactions are awkward. I loved this town, the characters, everything!! Great read that I didn't want to end.
This was a very quick "clean" romance title. Both of the characters felt a bit flat at times, but it would be a book I would recommend for someone who wants a quick romance and is ok with a bit of drama.
This was a sweet, light-hearted love story. I was intrigued from the start, as each character’s story unfolded. The familial strength in Belle’s family is admirable, which makes Belle endearing. Woody is a charming male lead with wholesome values. Their instant attraction and journey to love is darling. There is a twist of excitement which, in turn, helps them each heal from past experiences. I would love to live in this quaint little town! #TellMeAnotherLie #NetGalley
This is book four in The Huckleberry Ridge Romance Series and it is Belle and Woody’s story. When Belle’s husband died four years ago she found it hard to move forward and is definitely not ready or want a relationship so she continues to make her massage clinic successful and with her dog she is now trying to live her life until she realised that she has a stalker and needs help before everything gets out of hand. Woody is a police corporal in Huckleberry Ridge and loves his job and his dog by his side and doesn’t need or want a relationship when he has everything that he needs. When Woody is asked to look into a stalker allegation and meets Belle he is shocked by his reaction to her but Belle and Woody try to keep there distance as much as they can especially as neither want a partner or commitment but when everything escalates and Belle is in danger will Woody be able to protect and keep her safe until the threat is dealt with, well you will just have to read this book to find out what the outcome will be for Belle and Woody in the end and if they will have a chance of a future together. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more books in the future.
A lovely addition to this series, which can be read as a stand-alone. Clean slow burning romance that is realistic and heartwarming. Throw in a touch of suspense, a stalker and two of the cutest dogs and you have a feel good romance story.
This is the fourth book in the Huckleberry Ridge series, but each one can be read as a standalone. It's the first book in the series that I have read and the first book by K.T. Raine I've read. And it has left me interested in reading more of her books because it was so good!
There was such a level of sweetness between the characters and I absolutely loved the grumpy/sunshine trope that was a central theme. Belle and Woody had some instant chemistry. But the pacing was very well done and it didn't feel as rushed as many novels tend to do. That could be because this is a book within a series of clean romances. I love a good steamy read, but sometimes it's nice to also have the slow development as this one did.
When Belle starts getting creepy gifts from an unknown admirer, Woody steps in to make sure she stays safe. I thought the romance and the suspense were both really well written and the other characters have me wanting to go back and start the series from the beginning so I really get to know them all along with the world this author has created!
If you are into clean, not insta-love romances with a little suspense and furry friends, then this is a book for you.
This is the first work by this author I read and I liked her writing style a lot. The pacing is good and despite it not being a lengthy book, we learn a fair number of things about the main characters. I liked the fact that there were no misunderstandings and one of them actually made a move. There was actual flirting which I see less often in romantic books than I’d expect and I appreciated it a lot, just like the fact that it took a lot more than one meeting to acknowledge there was something going on between them. I’ll probably read more of her books in the future.
The book is written in dual POV, 3rd person and has 0 🌶️.
I guess I’m not giving 5 🌟 because I believe there was room for some more development in this story, I’d have liked to maybe learn a bit more about Woody’s past relationships or simply see them interact a little longer because I like the chemistry.
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
