Robert Bryndza's charming romantic comedy "Miss Wrong and Mr. Right" will make readers smile broadly. Bryndza skillfully writes a tale with heart, humour, and a compelling chemistry between the main characters. The witty conversation and lovable characters set against the picturesque background of rural England make for an incredibly delightful read. "Miss Wrong and Mr. Right" is an upbeat comedy that demonstrates that love can be discovered in the most unlikely places. Its blend of heartfelt moments and true emotional depth make it a delight to see. Bryndza's skill as a storyteller is evident in this endearing narrative, which makes it an ideal selection for lovers of romance fiction seeking some solace.
I really enjoyed this book. Light hearted and easy going. All about second chance love. My only grip would be I feel the two main characters Natalie & Jamie needed to have more interaction throughout the story.
I have the audio version and was well read.

Robert Bryndza nailed it with truly funny Romcom. The relationship between the main character Natalie and her Gran is absolutely adorable and left me wanting more, maybe even a Gran of my very own. Natalie was such a relatable character. A hard working and kind woman who has worked for everything she has in life. Like the rest of us just when she thinks she has life figured out here comes a curve ball making her question what she thought she truly wanted. Does she want Benjamin or will Ryan win her heart? Can Gran help her make up her mind before it’s too late? You are sure to love the narration by Jan Cramer!
Bit of chic lit light reading, girl dumps boy they go their separate ways then meet again 15 years later in life. Bit predictable, didn't really like the ending but it's an easy read for holiday. Thank you #NetGalley for the audiobook to review.
I loved "Miss Wrong and Mr Right" by Robert Bryndza. The story follows Natalie Love, a successful London theatre director trying to juggle her professional life, love life, and chaotic family all at once. The book is filled with humour, heart, and plenty of unexpected twists and turns that kept me entertained from beginning to end.
The audiobook narration was fantastic. Jan Cramer, the narrator, perfectly captured each character's essence. The accents were spot on, and the delivery was filled with just the right amount of wit and charm. Thanks to the narrator's outstanding performance, I laughed out loud multiple times throughout the story.
Natalie is a relatable and endearing protagonist, and I couldn't help but root for her throughout the book. Her interactions with her eccentric Hungarian grandmother, her awful yoga boyfriend, and her old flame, Jamie, added complexity to the story and kept me engaged. The romantic entanglements and hilarious mishaps that Natalie finds herself in make for a delightful read that I highly recommend to romantic comedy fans.
Overall, "Miss Wrong and Mr Right" was a delightful and entertaining read that hooked me from the first page. I thoroughly enjoyed the story's humour, romance, and heartwarming moments.
By no means a terrible book, I do think you want to be in the mood for a silly comedy that at no point ever pretends like it could actually happen or be real. In many ways, this felt very heavily plotted and lacking any kind of organic joy or chemistry. But it is perfectly serviceable in a very banal way. Note: I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a decent job.
Story: Natalie turned down a perfectly good man at the alter many years ago. Now, long gone from her small British town, she is thriving in London as the manager of a small theater. When she is able to book the hot young American star of the TV series Manhattan Beach, it seems everything is really falling into place for her. But then her ex shows up with his girlfriend - a burlesque artist hosting a show in the building directly across the street. Sparks will fly as the two compete to gain an audience for their shows.
Natalie, as a lead character, is rather milquetoast. She doesn't really have any admirable qualities and instead is kind of floating through life. Her ex is rarely seen through the whole book so we never really get a feel for him. Meanwhile, there is a cast of quirky characters around her to provide enough hijinks for the laugh track. From a man eating Eastern-European grandmother to a Texan manager. Add in the American movie star with a drinking problem and you get the idea.
The author has fun with the characters and situations as the battle ensues between the theaters (though I wish it wasn't so silly - imagine a tray of sandwiches falling from a London city rooftop onto a crowded street, spurring a frenzied flock of hungry pigeons attacking and you get the idea). Meanwhile, Natalie is dealing with an OTT boyfriend in the form of a yoga instructor who starts every sentence with 'namaste' (funny, right?) and trying to keep the movie star from falling off the wagon before the production can even begin.
So I never got into the character of Natalie, certainly didn't see much of her love interest ex, and was kind of bored by the improbable situations in which the characters in the story found themselves. This felt almost formulaic in its denouement.
The narration was fine - the American accents felt a bit flat but otherwise the narrator did a good job embodying the character. As such, this is a good book to consider the audio version. It is simple, easy to follow, and mildly amusing at times. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.
I really enjoyed this story. It actually made me laugh out loud several times. I Gran was my favorite character, she is so exciting and adventurous. I really loved her and Natalie's relationship. I think Natalie's journey to find the right one definitely took the scenic route several times I often wondered where the story was going. Which was very good as it kept me guessing. Unfortunately I don't think we were given enough time with Mr. Right in order for me to root for him. That being said I really did enjoy this book.
I looks like I am in the minority but I didn't like this book. I didn't like the characters. I felt there was very little interaction between the main characters and I didn't feel any chemistry.
3.5 stars
I thank the publishing team for allowing me to listen to this for a review.
I enjoyed the story, I found it funny and very enjoyable, I love the main character Natalie, and all her relationships throughout the book
Overall a good story
A second chance at romance with giggles along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author is normally a crime writer but this book was a great easy read. Give it a go.
Omg this book is SO good! I love the narrator! She did such a wonderful job! The book has a Bridget Jone's Diary vibe to it. It's a new favorite of mine for sure! Off to see what else is written by Robert!
I am very familiar with Robert Bryndza as an author as I have read all of his Erika Foster and Kate Marshall crime thrillers. I find these riveting reads and was surprised to see the change of genre.
This is not my usual genre, but I was intrigued. It is a cosy read which follows the life of Natalie Love following the disastrous wedding where she fled from the altar.
The characters are fairly likeable but I didn’t completely buy in to the characters and their situations. Everything just always seems to work out with little semblance of reality. Additionally, there were a few rather cliched characters/ situations which made it more difficult to really get on board with the characters.
The plot meandered a little before finding direction which meant the book didn’t draw me in as much as it may have otherwise done. I enjoyed the book but I didn’t love it.
Robert Bryndza is great at developing characters and we saw the beginning of this happening in these pages!
Thank you to NetGalley and the published for the chance to listen to this story via audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
So, this book and I? We're not exactly best buds. Despite the author trying to sprinkle in some humor, it felt bland. The characters, especially the lead, had some interesting quirks, but the overall storyline didn't sync up with what I usually enjoy.
Now, the romantic rollercoaster with Benjamin, Ryan, and the unexpected Jamie? It was like watching a drama that's just not my genre. I entered the story looking for an evolution on the character, rather than a telenovela with a hint of unfunny jokes. It's true that London added a cool background, and the grandma's eccentricity brought a smile, but the plot just didn't grab me.
Sure, there were a few moments that got a chuckle out of me, and some characters had a certain charm. But when push came to shove, the whole plot failed for me. I couldn't quite get on board with the love triangle turned "wrecktangle" they were supposedly serving up. It's just not the kind of story that i enjoy, you know?
This book reminded me a lot of Bridget Jones's Diary for a variety of reasons: down her luck in love character, funny dialogue, career frustrations, haunted by past loves and bitter enemies, etc. I cannot deny I was a little surprised by the gender of the author but he seems to have captured the female voice pretty well. The Hungarian grandmother was probably my favorite character, lots of laughs caused by her quips. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Delightful, entertaining and laugh out loud funny!
Narration: I can't tell if my laughing out loud was more from the content itself or from the way the narrator acted it out (obv it was both), she was so great! She swiftly moved through accents (gran's accent was so perfectly her) and has just the right note of sincerity and jest at all times
We meet Natalie Love at age 19 right after she left her fiance Jamie at the altar. She loved him, she did, but she felt so young, so inexperienced and unaccomplished and he'd said marriage or nothing so here she was. Her Gran whisked her off to London where she ended up staying and making a life for herself
It's 15 years later and Natalie runs a theater. She's currently working on a production of Macbeth with a young famous American actor who she hopes will generate buzz for her theater. Suddenly Natalie has her hands full between managing the talent, her ex-fiance opening a rival theater across the street with his new stunning girlfriend, her gran moving in unannounced, and the theater board threatening to fire her (just to name a few!) Can she manage it all? And is it too much to ask to throw love on top?
This was so entertaining from start to finish, the true definition of a romcom. It didn't matter how ridiculous some of the situations got, it all added to the fun, and the visuals had me laughing harder. Natalie is one of those down on ur luck but won't go down without a fight, optimistic and good hearted kinda characters that ur easily endeared to and can't help rooting for. Pure fun highly recommend!
I was quite surprised when I saw author, Robert Bryndza’s name on this book. It did not seem like the kind of book he was known to write. I had read his crime thrillers that featured DCI Erika Foster so Miss Wrong and Mr Right piqued my curiosity. I was glad that I gave it a chance. Who would have thought that Robert Bryndza had it in him to write a very enjoyable rom-com? Well apparently he had. I listened to the audiobook of Miss Wrong and Mr Right that was well narrated by Jan Cramer. Although it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it held my interest and proved to be quite enjoyable.
Natalie Love grew up on a farm in Devon, England. When Natalie was barely old enough, she accepted a marriage proposal from Jamie, her childhood sweetheart. Natalie loved Jamie but was she ready for the commitment of marriage? Apparently not, since Natalie left Jamie standing at the alter. Natalie could not go through with the ceremony. She wasn’t ready for marriage. Natalie had big dreams and she wanted to accomplish them…even if that meant calling off her own wedding.
Fifteen years later, Natalie was the owner of a theater production company in London. She had secured the famous American actor, Ryan Harrison, to take the leading male role in the production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Natalie’s theatre company was going to produce it and Ryan Harrison would provide just enough to ensure that it was a success. Natalie was initially distracted by how handsome Ryan was in person. She had a boyfriend currently and had to remind herself of that fact. Natalie had been dating Benjamin for a while. She had met Benjamin at his yoga studio. Benjamin both owned the yoga studio and was the primary instructor there. Their relationship, though, had not been developing in quite the way that Natalie had envisioned it to. Natalie was determined to make it work, though.
Then, with no warning, Jamie appeared in London. Natalie had not seen him since the day she left him standing at the alter and she had told him that she couldn’t marry him. Jamie was as handsome as ever. The past fifteen years had been kind to Jamie. He greeted her and told Natalie that he had purchased the building across the street from her company. Jamie was in production, too, and was to become her competition. Why was Jamie’s appearance affecting Natalie like this after all these years? Natalie soon learned that Jamie was engaged to a beautiful and talented woman. Why should she care? Natalie had a boyfriend after all. Then, handsome and successful actor, Ryan Harrison, started paying attention to Natalie. Which man would ultimately win Natalie’s heart…Benjamin, Ryan or Jamie?
Things got a little more complicated for Natalie when her Hungarian grandmother, Anoushka, showed up unannounced in London. Anoushka was invited to stay with Natalie at her apartment since she had nowhere else to stay. Natalie’s life was about to get much more interesting. Anoushka offered Natalie advice, shared stories about her life with Natalie, used her matchmaking skills whenever they proved useful and provided lots of laughs.
I enjoyed Robert Bryndza’s first attempt at a rom-com book. The characters were very believable and well developed. My favorite character was Natalie’s grandmother, Anoushka. Everyone should have a grandmother like her. I enjoyed the relationship that Natalie and Anoushka shared. I hope that Robert Bryndza writes more books like this one. Miss Wrong and Mr Right is a book that I would recommend if you enjoy reading rom-com with great characters.

Thanks natgalley for this arc.
This was my first ever book and audiobook from Robert Bryndza.
I sometimes struggle to listen to audiobooks when i dont know the plot beforehand, but not with this one.
I enjoyed myself listening even thouhbthe narrators voice needed a bit of getting used to, which i dont mind.
I enjoyed Natalie and Jamie and their interactions but also Natalies insividual part. I sometimes got a bit annoyed with Natalie (specially around the wedding) which inusually do in these kind of storys. I would have liked hearing more about jamies years apart and def want to read grandmas story. Please! Her comments and meddling were the best.
It is so funny how we envision our future to be. We have a list with our ideal spouse, our ideal marriage and birthing age. We have the type of job we desire and even our home that we will purchase, all picked out. What happens when things don't go as planned?? I giggled so much listening to this story. Her grandmother made me remember my own, some of the things she said definitely sounded like my Gran! I enjoyed the way that the main character, Natalie Love, was written. She was a bit of a hot mess but she was strong enough to recognize that she was making life changing decisions, and was willing pause to think about it and walk away if needed. She made a decision and before ruining her life she made a HUGE unexpected pivot, moved away and after finding her footing partnered to run a successful theater. We are often afraid to go against the grain, to shift out of what is not good for us because we don't want to disappoint. By doing so we miss an opportunity to grow and evolve into something better. If it is meant to be, if it is meant for us, It will come back around, and we will be ready.
This is a great book. Every character had a different personality and they all worked well. It would be good to hear the grandmas love story and the story of her life, same with Jamie. Also. I want to be the grandma when I grow up! lol
