The Imposter Puzzle Book is full of fiendish crimes to solve. You get a mini scenario to read followed by a number of pieces of evidence such as emails, witness statements, receipts etc. It is up to you to find out who committed the crimes by looking at the evidence. A great book to get the brain cells working, would work great with a friend or in a group setting to see who can work out the culprit first.

I generally like the puzzles, but there's simply too much text for my liking. While I get that there needs to be some superfluous info because it'd be far too easy to find the traitor otherwise, the amount of fairly uninteresting and dully written texts you have to sit through is just too high. I think the puzzles would either need some streamlining or more engaging writing and personality. All in all, the puzzles themselves are fine, it's just the presentation that could've needed some work imo.

This is my first experience with a book like this. I haven't done every puzzle, but I'm excited to move through the book! The only thing that I wish were a little different is that the answers for all of the puzzles are in the very back of the book. This might be fine in a physical version, but it's a little clunky when using the book as a digital copy. I would have preferred to just have a blank page in between each puzzle and its solution, I think.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this book. This was a fun read trying to figure out the clues to each mystery and who was the culprit.

I had a pretty good time with this book. Includes 12 differently formatted whodunnit puzzles that had a variety of themes, location, characters, clue types, and more.
I think this would be great as a physical book so you could highlight important details, but I was fine with good ol pen and paper too.
I can also see this being fun to play with a friend or two, then you may not even need to write notes since the puzzles are not that difficult.
I got a large majority of the puzzles correct, but the few I got wrong were split between “oh wow that’s clever!” and “that doesn’t make any sense..”

Because this is a NetGalley ARC review, I will provide early feedback below:
- many spelling, grammar, and formatting errors
- some answers were not satisfying (Room with a View - baby portion, Traitors in the Tower, Werewolf - too easy, Syndicate - numbers making MARTIN, Betrayal, Scandal, and Watch - got these correct based on clues not shared in the answers)
- might be nice to include a Notes page with each puzzle instead of 1 page at the very end
- more unique clues would be nice instead of paragraphs of text

This book is genuinely genius! I loved the puzzles. Although I was great at figuring most of them out (4/12😂) I really did enjoy spending time figuring them out or at least trying to. It engaged my brain and it got me involved in the book! I highly recommend reading if you want to train your brain and use your wits to figure out the traitors!

This was so much fun! I had a great time working my way through this book and solving the clues throughout. Now I need to find more just like it!

I’m so excited by this book. There are many murder mystery books out there and this one I was able to get my hands on. It is set up so you can see all the evidence through all the different media’s. I’m a sucker for that already. This book has 12 different cases that will keep you busy for hours.

I worked on a couple of them and I know they would be fun to do with a friend too. With the texts, phone messages and police files and statements, you’ll be able to figure these cases out too.

Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group and Roland Hall for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love logic puzzles, and so picked up this book. Rather than being your typical word problems, each puzzle is a short story with “evidence” to try to identify the imposter/traitor. It was fun reading the little stories and trying to solve them. For those looking for a twist on traditional puzzle books, this is a great option.

Immerse yourself in 12 detailed scenarios. Use your detective skills to solve the puzzles.

This is fantastic and I’ll be buying all my family and friends copies for their birthdays. It’s definitely one to bring out at family gatherings.

You’ll love this book if you enjoy the Murdle books or the Traitors to series.

I find it hard to judge a puzzle book but here goes. I gave this 3 stars. It is not my style of puzzle at all. If I'm doing puzzles I don't want to have to read as much as you do with this one. It's a lot. The premise is good. The stuff is written well. The puzzles are all different mixed media so it doesn't feel like your doing the same puzzle over and over again. That would have given it 5 stars but as I said, not my style and didn't enjoy them so I figured the fair rating would be 3 stars.

I have not read a book like this in years! The stories were diverse with unique settings. The clues were interesting and intriguing. While I enjoyed reading it on my own, this would make a great book club read for those who love solving mysteries and crimes. Very thought provoking and fun!

I love puzzles and really enjoyed working my way through this one!
I think of myself as being fairly observant and this book showed me that I am in fact not…🤣🤣
Not to hard and not to easy, really fun to pass the time 😊

What a fun little puzzle book!

I almost wish I had waited to read this until I had a print copy rather than the e-ARC. My cousins and I would have had a lot of fun making incorrect guesses and false accusations.
The puzzles are a good mixture of easy and challenging, at least in my opinion. I thought they got more complex as the book progressed, but that could also have been because my attention was wearing thin (instead of doing a puzzle a day like what would have been smart, I read the entire thing like an actual book which was a mistake on my part).
If you're a fan of escape rooms, logic puzzles, or murder mysteries, I would definitely recommend checking out this book when it releases.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the free e-ARC!

This was a really fun and unique logic puzzle game - clearly done to appeal to the popularity of The Traitors series, although this is more of a ‘find the culprit’ type of game. we get 12 puzzles of varying difficulties, so if the concept sounds interesting it’s definitely worth a try!

Ohhh I loved this type of book. this is the next level to Murder Rule (grid-style puzzle). I have to say that it does require you to sit down and think about the mystery.. it is not something you can do in 2 minutes. I will without a doubt have a go at all the puzzles and see if I can catch the MOLE!

This book is an absolute gem, especially for someone like me who revels in the challenge and intrigue of puzzle books. From start to finish, it kept me utterly engrossed, teasing my mind with each twist and turn. My only gripe was that it ended far too soon! With a weekend to spare, I delved into its pages and found myself completely consumed, swiftly moving from one puzzle to the next without pause. The thrill of cracking each enigma fuelled my determination, leaving me hungry for more. If you loved the Murdle series, rest assured, this book will undoubtedly captivate you with its cunning puzzles and thrilling narrative.

This is not your typical logic puzzle book! It will put your cognitive skills to the test with a challenging storyline of clues. It is unique, fun, and entertaining.

This is fun because these aren't typical puzzles. There are several situations with different situations and characters, and you have to read notes, letters, etc to figure out the mystery. There are enough details to make it interesting but the scenarios are short enough to use as a shared game. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
