This book is so well done. I'm looking forward to making my first recipe from it! The art is great, the food looks tasty, and the premise of cooking food from your favorite anime is great.

Thanks for letting me see it as an ARC!

Oh my goodness! This cookbook is brimming with adorable details, from the eye-catching color schemes to the delicious illustrations shown on each page. Never before have I seen a cookbook that fills me with so much excitement and makes my eyes pop and my mouth drool. I love that each recipe mentions the name of the anime and the episode the dish was featured in along with some trivia and why the author included it in the cookbook. Just by looking at the pages of the cookbook, you can see how hard the author worked to make the cookbook easy to follow, well-organized, and aesthetically beautiful. I'm definitely gonna give some of these recipes a try!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC in return for my honest and unbiased review.

I love anime cookbooks. They are always so colorful and I was not disappointed. I will be buying this book when it is released and letting my weeb self try to make these items. Just remember, the images are very anime style, so if you are wanting them as a reference, some of them won't really help you.

This is a fun cookbook that brings some fun and cute food and drink ideas to life. Teh author shares her journey and why she chooses certain recipes. The recipes are easy to follow and I think I could make them. The art is sooo cute but I would have liked real pictures; I want to see what my end product should look like.

Thank you Quarto/Rock Point & NetGalley for the ARC :)
The illustrations and theming of this Anime Cafe cookbook are adorable! Nadine does a wonderful job outlining where each recipe comes from, and the context in which the food appeared in an anime. Additionally, I love the fact that conversions are thought of-- saves an extra step. Especially with baking, it helps more with the weight measurements rather than Imperial/American cups etc. I love that she also adds cute tips and parts of her research (asking about sourcing of chestnuts for the Mont Blanc recipe) in too.

Many of these recipes are baked goods, so I would say not easy for a beginner-- but I enjoyed reading through the recipes and seeing the amount of joy that compiling and making this cookbook had for the author!

Thank you Rock Point and NetGalley for a copy of The Anime Cafe!

"Food plays an important role in anime, whether it is briefly shown in a slice-of-life scene or the entire plotline of an episode or even a series, and popular anime food creator Nadine Estero (@issagrill) has perfectly captured these favorite food and drink moments once again, in this follow-up to her best-selling cookbook, The Anime Chef Cookbook."

I'm so excited to get a copy of The Anime Cafe! My fave part of watching anime is watching them make or eat the food - there's just something so satisfying about it. This recipe book is a fun collection of loved food/drinks in popular anime shows and movies. The recipes also include a brief intro about the show it's from and an accessible step-by-step cooking guide. The artwork is also super cute!

Highly recommend for anime lovers out there!

Cute and delicious looking recipes.
From beginner friendly to more advanced recipes.
I will say, there seems to be a lot of advanced (many step) recipes, which, personally are not my thing. But for adventurous chefs, this should be perfect!

Anyone who watches anime knows that there are always delicious dishes that make us want to transport ourselves to the anime and eat with the protagonists.

In this book, in addition to telling you which anime it appears in, it teaches you how to do it. The edition is very cute and very kawaii and I think every anime fan would like it, adding that you also have to be interested in cooking it...because otherwise it's not very funny.

Personally, I would have liked him to tell me a little about the dish itself. I know that not everything has a story or curious facts, but I think it would have added a lot.

Thanks Rock Point for the ARC I read through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A pleasurable and comforting read, just like The Anime Chef Cookbook. I love the rich and lush illustrations, which will have you salivating. Although some pages felt too wordy, I enjoyed reading the short introductions on each dish.

What a beautiful ode to Japanese anime, treats and delicacies, and culture ❤️

Kids and teens will love this cookbook that allows them to create the dishes made popular in their favourite anime!

The illustrated dishes on each page couple nicely with the recipe layouts. The prep time and cook time are provided for each dish which will help budding cooks decide which dish to try next.

This is a great way to introduce kids into the kitchen - have them marry cooking with another hobby.

All my favorite anime’s are included in The Anime Cafe cookbook. Full of Japanese favorite dishes you see in TV shows, movies and anime.
Fans of Japanese media can now enjoy the treats while they consume their favorite shows and manga.

Continuing on the food wave, I came across an incredibly cute and appetizing cookbook inspired by Japanese animations. While cookbooks aren't typically read cover to cover, I couldn't resist with this one—everything looked so delicious! 😊

If you've ever watched anime and envied the characters for eating such mouth-watering food, this cookbook by Nadine Estero is a dream come true. "The Anime Cafe" offers fifty different recipes inspired by various animations, complete with the name of the anime, the season, and the episode number (or just the movie title). This way, you can enjoy these dishes alongside your favorite characters. A true delight!

Just a glance at the cover tells you what to expect. The illustrations accompanying each recipe are in the same vibrant style, guaranteed to make your mouth water. After reading the book, I visited the author's Instagram account to explore further—a decision that quickly made my stomach rumble. Nadine Estero shares videos where the screen is split, showing clips from the anime on top and her cooking on the bottom. This visual treat helps you see what the dish looks like in real life. I wish the cookbook had included something similar, perhaps a QR code linking to the video for each recipe. However, this is a minor gripe and doesn't detract from the book's charm.

Estero previously authored "The Anime Chef Cookbook," featuring 75 iconic recipes from beloved animations. I haven't had the chance to explore that one yet, but it's definitely on my list now. My stomach is growling, and I'm eager to start cooking! Finally, you can enjoy the dishes that tantalized your taste buds every time you watched your favorite anime.

Thank you so much, NetGallery and Quarto Publishing Group - Rock Point, for this wonderful reading experience!

This is such a cute book! I loved all of the art of each recipe, it made me feel soooo hungry as I flicked through each page. I also love that each recipe refers to specific anime episodes so that I could watch the show and eat what they are eating.

I am definitely going to give some of these recipes a go!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a super cute cookbook for anybody who watched anime and wants to try a few of the foods that are eaten or cooked on screen. My only critique is that the categories did not make much sense to me; I think the author would have better served readers by giving easy-to-understand chapters, like "pub foods," "sweets," etc.

This cookbook has a lot of amazing recipes, all of which have fun animated photos. I went in not sure which anime would be included, but the author included a wide assortment of anime from current stuff, to some classics. I have saved a few of the recipes to make, and can't want to try them out.
