It's both adorable and useful and would be the perfect gift for the anime lover, especially one that is ripe for exploring different aspects of anime. The illustrations are cute and beautiful. As a librarian, I was impressed with how robust the index was; this would make it easy to use for anyone interested in Japanese cooking, i.e. not just anime fans.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. Itadakimasu!

O M G, look at how adorable this anime style recipe cook book is . I always see them in the book selection of walmart and Target and always look at them, but never buy them. I will definitely have to go back and see which one they have again, because this book has CHANGED my way of thinking | cooking delicious food. I love how this book is an anime theme, and every recipe tells which anime it is base off of. Highly recommend.
.
Side Note: some of my favorite recipes, Celestial Strawberry Float from Sailor Moon R, Honey Milk from Ponyo, Rainbow Jelly (kids would love) from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Bunny Apples from Chainsaw Man .. basically the entire book.

Visually stunning and laid out in an extremely user friendly manner, The Anime Cafe is the perfect addition to any library's cookbook collection! Especially appealing for libraries that serve a community that appreciates anime or that is looking to engage with young and new adult members of the community, this cookbook would pair well with an established anime club or as part of a "watch and cook" program.

Not only does this cookbook reference dozens of popular anime, providing details about the anime as well as the reasoning behind the chosen recipe, the names of each dish will amuse and delight any fan. Although a difficulty rating would have been a helpful inclusion, along with possible substitutions for chefs with food allergies or restrictions, the recipes are still well written, the ingredients generally available, and the steps clearly explained. Even if the final product does not match the beautiful illustration, the bubbly color scheme will keep spirits high! Thank you to NetGalley for access to this delightful arc.

This is the cutest recipe book I have ever read. The layout is immaculate. The artwork is stunning, the instructions are so easy to follow. This is a top tier fun nerdy cookbook that would look just as good on your coffee table closed as it does open on your counter making the food. And where do you even begin. I want to make everything. How this book was created makes everything look and sound so appetizing. I just cannot stop gushing about this book. I have to get a copy for my niece, she will love this.

This book was provided by NetGalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.

This was such a cute book! I've always been a fan of Ghibli movies - and specifically foods and drinks in them - so these illustrations are a real treat! A lot of the recipes seem perfect for summer, lots of drinks and yummy sweets, so I'll be trying a few in the next months. First one on my list would definitely be coffee jelly and the Strawberry brick toast!
This is a book I'd like to have on my shelf though, a physical copy, because it would be such a comfort to flip through it and get ideas for some treats for your friends..

This is the most charming cookbook, from the recipes by popular Instagram creator Nadine Estero to the adorable illustrations by Jana Paynor. I've always been fascinated by the food shown in anime, the whole cozy cuteness of it all that always looks like the manifestation of love.

There are fun recipes from well-known movies like the honey-milk from Ponyo and peach buns from Spirited Away, and others from specific episodes of series like the mont blanc cupcakes from an episode of Tono-Chan is a Girl. Each recipe has little notes explaining the context along with the sweetest colorful illustrations of what each should look like finished. I will absolutely be making the Sadist Bunny Parfait from Blend S, with a cayenne strawberry sauce that goes over a complex sundae type dessert.

I love the whole design of this book; it's just so aesthetically pleasing and well thought-out.

Thank you so much to Rock Point and Netgalley for this ARC!

This is a cozy anime lovers dream!
I was first intrigued by this book seeing that there was Studio Ghibli inspired recipes included, and ghibli food has always looked divine. Not only does this cookbook give so many fun recipes to try inspired by well loved anime’s like Sailor Moon, One Piece, and of course Ghibli, but it gave me so many new anime’s to watch as well! I think it’s so much fun to make food to go with a show. That’s my kind of Friday night! Really appreciated how easy to follow the recipe instructions are as well. Manageable even for a very beginner cook like me!
