Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The most Christmas-y thing about this book were the titles of each recipe, not the recipes themselves, the titles. Some recipes do seem interesting, but they don't have much to do with Christmas. I don't think any of those recipes would find themselves on a Christmas dinner list, or at least not on mine. I like the concept, but the execution is just a collection of recipes who can be given Christmas-related titles.
This was really cute and festive, and I found a few recipes that I might try this year for the holidays. The recipes are easy to follow, the photos are great, and the names of recipes are also cute. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for review.
The illustrations in this book are so cute. The titles of the recipes are all holiday inspired too, like Home for the Holidays Charcuterie or Simply Having a Wonderful Celery Soup.
There is an interesting variety of recipes, many that I plan on trying. I think everyone will find something to enjoy in this holiday cookbook.
The Cozy Christmas Cookbook brings a festive, stylish twist to holiday recipes. With 50 modern, easy-to-follow dishes, it’s designed to make your celebrations cozy yet chic, with recipes that balance traditional flavors and trendy updates.
Beautiful, pun-filled recipes that seem easy to follow and make. I especially liked the mini-quiche's, white christmas nog, and the vegan mac and cheese recipes. I also liked that there wasn't just a few recipes that are considered "normal" christmas food but that there were other good foods (again with punny names!) like the fajitas or purple potatoes that also sound really good to eat and make.
This is a great cookbook for cozy and easy Christmastime meals!
The charming introductions and descriptions make it really enjoyable to use, and I love the word plays in the names of the dishes!
Adorable graphics and great photos of the recipes make the book extremely appealing. I like that measurements are provided in both ounces and grams, inches and centimeters, etc. and cups are given an equivalent in grams.
I'm glad it has recipes for different skill levels, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
I like how there's really everything in this cookbook - appetizers, dinners, breakfasts, drinks, desserts and more!
The index at the end is a great handy addition 🙂
What a fun book, especially for families cooking with kids for Christmas. They will love the names and most of the food is very kid friendly as well. Never fear, there are some items for adults as well. This would be a lovely gift.
I found this cookbook to be easy to understand and follow.
If I’m honest I don’t think I’d have used many of the recipes but that’s because I come from a family of fussy folk 😂
The presentation felt more focused on young adults than say someone in their 30s cooking their umpteenth Christmas dinner
I received a free ebook copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.
This is a pretty basic Christmas cookbook. Lots of cute names for recipes, but not really anything adventurous or particularly interesting. It’s ok as a beginner book and with some nice ideas as jumping off points.
I am always on the lookout for new and inventive recipes to change up my usual go-to's, and this cookbook definitely gave me some good ideas. First off, the names of all the recipes are so cute! Some standouts I will definitely be trying are:
Stocking Stuffer Artichokes
Quiche Me Under the Mistletoe
The Nice List Grilled Asparagus Salad
Big Sister's Christmas Spinach Artichoke Chicken
I am most excited to try. I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas Nog because it uses cashews and almond milk in an interesting twist. I really loved that the ingredients used were healthy and less toxic than you see in typical recipes. It was nice to see as I am trying to reduce the amount of toxic ingredients in cooking for my family. I definitely recommend this cookbook if you want to change up your holiday recipes or want to swap out certain ingredients for healthier options.
Thank you to Netgalley and Rock Point Publishing for the opportunity to view this cute cookbook

PROS: This a good book for someone who is learning how to cook and will be the host of a christmas party, the recipes are simple and the instructions easy to follow. I'm thankfull for the advance reading.
CONS: I was interested in this book because I wanted to find some innovation for my christmas main dishes, and even though I liked that there are vegetables in a lot of them, they did not inspire me to make them.

Fresh festive pasta is phenomenal!
This cookbook activated my festive cheer — I'm ready for the holidays and hosting. Every recipe comes with a great photo and Christmas-y names that will have you and your friends and family laughing. You have your classics but also unique recipes that make preparing and cooking meals fun.
I was really looking forward to this book and I was hoping to find a book filled with delicious and comforting foods that people enjoy for Christmas (since the title promises "cozy")
However, while the book had some foods that give this vibe, others were simple recipes with a Christmas twist (like the food was cut in the shape of a tree or a star). At least some recipes looked quite familiar from Pinterest or Instagram, but having them all in one place can be handy so I won't deny the need for a book even if the recipes can be found online.
I liked the puns used in the names and many recipes sound really delicious, however, personally I don't think I would cook most of this recipes for Christmas (in my country we usually cook more traditional food but I would have liked to bring some new food to the table), but I might try them for another occasion, maybe during December to add a bit of Christmas spirit to my everyday meals.
All in all, I feel really disappointed it didn't have (for me) that cozy vibe, but I don't think it's a terrible book.
