Katy Brent has done it again! I adored this book, read it in a couple of days. A hilarious dark feminist thriller.

Katy Brent’s I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin solidifies her as one of my autobuy authors. This sequel to How to Kill Men and Get Away With It delivers everything fans loved in the first book: dark humour, razor-sharp wit, and Kitty Collins—our unapologetically chaotic anti-heroine who is equal parts relatable and terrifying.
Kitty's struggle to balance her bloodthirsty urges with her attempts to live a “normal” life is nothing short of addictive. As a serial killer with a moral compass skewed by righteous female rage, Kitty sets her sights on misogynistic influencer Blaze Bundy. Brent expertly uses Blaze as a stand-in for the all-too-real toxic masculinity we encounter online, giving readers both cathartic laughs and biting social commentary.
Adding depth to the story, Kitty’s journey to the South of France for her mother’s wedding is the perfect backdrop for murder, mayhem, and self-reflection. The luxurious setting contrasts beautifully with the gritty undertones of Kitty’s inner turmoil and the escalating threats she faces.
This book goes beyond the thrills, tackling themes of feminism, justice, and sisterhood with unflinching honesty. While Kitty’s methods are questionable (therapy might serve her better than murder), her motivations feel tragically justified in a world that too often fails women.
With sharp twists, a fast-paced plot, and a protagonist you can't help but root for despite her very questionable choices, I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin is the kind of book you’ll devour in one sitting. Katy Brent masterfully blends dark comedy with thought-provoking commentary, making this a must-read for fans of feminist thrillers and morally grey characters.
If you loved the first book, prepare to be even more obsessed with this one. And if you haven’t started the Kitty Collins series yet, what are you waiting for?
Kitty is back, and she’s taking no prisoners—literally. I, for one, cannot wait for what Brent cooks up next.

Absolutely brilliant, loved it. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an advance copy, I will definitely be recommending.

I loved the first book in this series and loved this one just as much. Very gruesome in places and very funny in others. I was disappointed that it didn’t work out with Charlie, but hey, you can’t have everything. A brilliant read! Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the early copy and I can’t wait for the next one!

Laugh out loud funny in places while dealing with serious topics. A quick-paced read - I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down!

I loved the title of this book, it really drew me in.
Once I started reading, I could not put it down,it was a real pageturner.
I was thoroughly engrossed throughout. It was refreshing, funny with lots of twists and turns, with a great perspective, what a read,

4.5 🌟
A huge thanks to NetGalley, Harper Collins (HQ Digital) and Katy Brent for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book before its release.
Trigger warning: This book contains themes of rape and sexual assault, as well as murder (but you were probably expecting that already).
“I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin” is a strong sequel to Brent’s brilliant “How to Kill Men and Get Away With It”, one of my favourite books of recent years. The main character Kitty remains witty and righteous, and her feminist viewpoint is more powerful than ever. She really is the best antihero.
In “I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin” we follow Kitty to Cannes for a family event. Compared to the first novel, I found the book lost its way a little in the middle and it took a while for things to pull together. I also found the storyline much more unrealistic than the first novel (no spoilers, but I’m sure many will agree) - this isn’t a massive issue as it’s a work of fiction, after all, but I appreciated the realistic potential of “How to Kill Men and Get Away With It”.
Overall, though, I loved this story. Kitty remains hilarious and made me laugh out loud at points. Brent writes with brilliant wit and is an unbelievably talented author. She combines humour with emotion and while I found myself laughing in certain points I also shed some tears in others. Through Kitty’s story, Brent is sparking important conversations about the patriarchy and where both women and men position themselves in today’s society.
Lots of fun, lots of silliness and giggles, but also lots of reflections on our modern world and the dangers of social media, incel culture, and a killer vegan socialite. Katy Brent is truly exceptional.

Kitty Collins is back with another deliciously dark and twisted, humorous tale! After hanging up her knives and going to a form of AA for her serial killing desires all has been going well for Kitty as she settled.
I felt like it took a little longer for the book to get going with this second instalment, however that was to be expected and it didn’t pull away from the enjoyment of reading the book.
I think it would be possible to read this book first but I do believe that the reader would feel they were missing something, I would certainly be recommending that they read book one first.
I am certainly keeping my fingers crossed for a third instalment.

First of thank you so much NetGalley for the arc I was so excited already had it pre ordered I love it, it was fast paced I loved kitty and all the characters and loved all the twist and turns and it was fun funny heartbreaking not much else to say 5 stars I now need to read book 1

Kitty is back and I am here for it 👏🏼
I loved the first book so couldn’t wait to get stuck into the second and find out what she’s been up to.
I adore Kitty. She’s witty, smart and while her actions are crazy, the reason she does them soften you to her. She’s the perfectly flawed FMC.
I guessed who BB was pretty early on but there were more twists to come that I did not see coming.
I couldn’t put this book down and I really hope there will be more in the future.
5 stars

Oh my! Having read How to Kill your Family I was so looking forward to reading this and it did not disappoint!
Kitty Collins, social media influencer and vegan heiress to a meat processing industry is back. Having managed to not murder any man for a little while, that changes all too quickly.
When she is threatened by a man on social media calling himself Blaze Bundy, Kitty decides to find him and do what she does best. Combine this with her mother’s upcoming wedding to a younger man (gold digger? Who knows?) and the premise is set for a fantastic read.
Full of dark humour, if you enjoyed the first book you will not be disappointed by this. I adored it!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy.

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the second book in the Kitty Collins series and I absolutely loved it, I didn’t want it to end. It’s safe to say that Kitty Collins is my favourite vegan serial killer 😂 Kitty is an amazing vigilante, I adored her although she really does need some therapy! I also loved how we got more snippets of her new relationship with Charlie and read more about her friendships. Overall this was such a fun, perfectly written book and I found myself laughing out loud continually. This is definitely a book I’ll be recommending to others.

I'm not sure there's much room left in the market now for female assassin books, but, as I enjoyed the last Kitty Collins book, I thought I would read this one too. I'm pleased I did, as, along with a page turner Ms Brent managed to infuse some serious social commentary about violence against women and also a lot of humour in Kitty's character.
Thank you to netgalley and HQ for an advance copy of this book.

I loved it! This is the sequel to How to Kill Men and Get Away with It - we follow our trusty vegan serial killer Kitty Collins as she turns 30, has her mother's wedding looming, and leaves bodies in her wake. This was a great read, I devoured it in a matter of 2 days. It deals with some difficult topics, but does it well by utilising the dark humour I've come to love about Katy Brent's writing.
Overall, I highly recommend - thanks to Netgalley & Harper Collins for the ARC, thoroughly enjoyed it!

An amazing read that I did not want to end. It had so much humour but in places was very sad or a little o the disturbing horror side. There were many twists throughout and a great ending that was totally unexpected. Instead of thinking that the murders were wrong it was far too easy to understand why she murdered men and did the women of the world a sense of safety. Katy is a fantastic author and I would highly recommend this book to others to read as it is laugh a minute story.

“My name is Kitty Collins and I’m a serial killer”.
Kitty is back with more sass, dark humour, wit and of course, murder. She’s been doing really well recently. No killing since last year, loved up with the boyfriend but the itch to kill is still there. Especially since misogynists like Blaze Bundy are spouting their vile degradation of women to millions of followers online. Someone needs to put men like that down - he’s a menace to society and needs to be taken care of.
Kitty goes to France to witness her estranged mother marrying a man she’s never met. But she’s got murder on her mind and as they say, a woman’s work is never done. One more murder won’t hurt, will it?
Brent delivered another deliciously dark and sharp-tongued story with the second outing of Kitty. Watch how Kitty dismantles the patriarchy (and her victims) one slice at a time. Brent isn’t afraid to delve into some very difficult topics (sexual assault, rape, violence all feature in this story), but it’s handled in such a way as to give women back their power and Kitty is the weapon of choice.
It’s hilarious, clever and the twists delivered throughout will leave your head reeling. There are plenty of downright gory scenes (Kitty’s methods are quite sinister), and it’s an engrossing, addictive fast-paced story. We get more insight into Kitty’s family dynamics and see how her past helped to shape her into the feminist, no nonsense vigilante that she is. At no point will you feel sorry for Kitty’s victims- be prepared to unleash the feminine rage with her and cheer her on!
I really hope there’s a third book because Kitty has so much more to give to the world.
Thanks to HQ and NetGalley for the arc. Out 30th Jan. 4⭐️

⭐️⭐️ I just didn’t gel with this book or the main character. I spent the whole book hoping she’d get caught.
The storyline was so implausible but when her mum cleaned up her mess, that was a stretch too far and I skipped thru it as fast as I could.
Not for me sorry.

Suspend your disbelief sweeties, vegan serial killer Kitty Collins is back!
After loving Katy Brent’s last two novels, one being the debut of Kitty in How to kill Men and Get Away With It, and another with similar vibes but different characters, The Murder After the Night Before, I know that Brent always delivers an addictive, engrossing read.
So not surprisingly this new one had me up til 2am finishing it!!
If you don’t know Kitty, she’s a glamorous vegan, ironically an heiress to a meat production empire, and even more ironically a serial killer. She’s also a super rich and fairly famous social media influencer to boot.
We meet Kitty about a year after the events of the first book, and in a crazy turn of events she’s sworn off social media - and murder - for good. Happily coupled up with her lovely boyfriend Charlie, life is good. She has no reason to go back to the dark side.
Except, she was never really killing for herself. It was always about keeping predators off the streets and protecting her fellow women.
When popular toxic masculinity influencer Blaze Bundy hits the scene with his misogynistic vitriol, and seemingly has it in for Kitty herself, she’s dusting off the syringes of Rohypnol and sharpening the knives again.
This sequel gives us more insight into Kitty’s family, while showing an ever so slightly mellow side to Kitty, and still offering up violent twists and turns to keep you gripped!

I was so excited to get this ARC as I’d read the first in the series and loved it.
This is such a good dark comedy/thriller series I love it! It’s funny, witty, fast paced and somehow light hearted despite the fact it’s about murder ahahah
Kitty is a great FMC, one that even though we know she’s a bit morally grey (or not, depending on your view i suppose), we are gunning for her every step of the way. I did find myself sort of mentally shouting ‘Go Kitty Go!’ anytime she was in a sticky situation.
Overall this was a fab book and a great follow up. Only hoping there’s a third in the works because I want to read about that man getting what is coming for him!!

I was so excited to read this after loving the first in the series, and it really did not disappoint. Kitty is back with a bang in another instalment of acting on her intrusive thoughts and getting away with it. The entire book was a great read, it had me hooked right from the very start and kept me interested the entire way through. This was a very easy, fast paced read and at no point did I feel bored or fed up reading it.
Kitty Collins is like a female version of Dexter in my eyes, which provides a very easy read. However, despite the amusing and comical approach that this book has, the underlying message is extremely important, especially as a female reader. Katy Brent acknowledges the difficulties faced regarding the normalisation of violence against women and the challenges that can be faced, however it is done in a way that also provides the reader with an enjoyable and lighthearted read.
I thought this was an excellent read which I enjoyed even more than the first book in the series, and I really hope that we can experience more about the life of Kitty Collins in future books. Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC, I highly recommend!
