Much like the first Kitty book this was highly entertaining and so much fun. I love the author's writing style - her tongue in cheek humour, the satirical look at the Chelsea lifestyle, and witty narrative. I also like Kitty alot - she's sassy, funny, loyal and utterly bonkers. As one character says to her: "You're off the scale nuts....seriously unhinged." To which she replies: "The best people are". It was harder to get behind Kitty this time though as she came across less avenging and more blood thirsty. It was also a little more contrived with the Connor, Tor and Antoinette storylines. But all-in-all another fun read and worthy follow-up (which probably is best read after the first).

This second instalment was even better than the first.

Kitty’s back and after a hiatus from her murdering side hustle, she is feeling the hunger pangs. Throw in a new social media “influencer”, a new step dad and a whole new country and you’ve got yourself a 5 star read.

I found that this book flowed much easier than the first one, I couldn’t put it down. There didn’t feel like there was much filler and I wanted to continue reading at the end of each chapter.

Thanks so much for an ARC of this book, here’s hoping for a third in the series!

Kitty Collins is back, and sharper than ever. Absolutely fantastic book. I think we'd all love a friend like Kitty, tbh. The plotline was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Katy Brent is firmly on my best author list.

Thank you to netgalley, the author, and publisher for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

''Some men deserve to be killed'', thinks Kitty Collins, serial killer extraordinaire.
She loves to rid the world of bad men, men who do harm to other women.
The book is also about Kitty's relationships with other people, her boyfriend Charlie, her mother who now lives in France, her best friends Tor & Maisie, and her new 'enemy' Blaze Bundy!
I won't spoil the plot for other readers, but this is yet another fantastic read from Katy Brent, and I can't wait for the next installment to see what Kitty will get up to next.

3* An interesting plot

The title intrigued me, unfortunately I quickly lost interest in the contents. Clearly I'm not the target audience for this book as I neither constantly check my phone nor broadcast my life to all and sundry. Whilst I sympathised with Kitty's difficulty of going cold turkey from social media and conquering her murdering habit, I was exasperated at her continual fury at men, she seemed to actively search for a new victim, even after killing the wrong brother.

I didn't continue with her to the South of France, nor discovered Blaze Bundy's identity and his reason to pursue Kitty – btw I'd happily push him into the mincer.

DNF.

With thanks to HQ and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kitty is back, and she’s as fierce, funny, and unapologetic as ever in I Bet That You’d Look Good in a Coffin.

In this sequel, Kitty tackles online misogyny from a certain social media influencer incel, chaotic family drama in the South of France, and her ever-present murderous urges. The blend of laugh-out-loud moments and emotional depth is a testament to Brent’s brilliant writing. It’s fast-paced, clever, and impossible to put down.

I devoured in and the way Katy writes makes it so consuming and makes you forget you’re reading! This book packed with humor, rage, and sharp social commentary on how women are treated in society.

If you’re looking for escapism with a feminist twist, Kitty’s murderous adventures are not to be missed. Katy Brent has quickly become one of my favorite authors, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next (hoping Kitty with come back for a trilogy!)

Kitty Collins is back and she's better and more brutal than ever! I tore through this tense, twisty read. Kitty has got her claws into me and won't let me go.

I hadn’t read How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, but some reviews said the sequel could be read as a standalone.
I think I would’ve enjoyed it more had I of read the first book. At 57, I also feel it might appeal to a younger audience, or maybe it just didn’t really hit the spot for me.
We follow Kitty Collins, who’s trying really hard to give up social media and killing men, but it’s proving to be difficult.
I did laugh in some parts, but found myself skimming pages just to get to the end.

I could not put this book down!!!!!!! I read it in less than 24 hours ( them hours included sleep and work!) I loved how this book was written, some chuckles on what kitty says in her head when having conversations with others. I didn't realise there was a book 1 which I will definitely read. although nothing seems to phase Kitty when it comes to her doing those things she's should be and taking things into her own hands, I can help but love her. I guess the ending wrong which is a first for me, although suspicions I was soon thrown off again. Great read and first read for me by this author, but definitely not my last! I have put this review also on goodreads :)

Wow this was a wild ride! The narrative was a little chaotic but very amusing, and whilst the chain of events didn't fully make sense at times, I still had a good time reading this

Having read and loved the first book I was excited to get the opportunity to read the follow up and it didn't disappoint. It feels wrong to find a book about murder amusing, but I found myself laughing out loud several times. Thank you for the opportunity to read this Netgalley.

Kitty Collins, serial killer, is a reformed character since she started a relationship with her boyfriend Charlie. The rage inside which encouraged her to go out and kill has been tamed. The meteoric rise of a new misogynistic influencer is about to change all that.

Author Katy Brent introduced the world to serial killer Kitty Collins in How To Kill Men And Get Away With It. Kitty is an Insta famous "It girl" with a skewed moral code; she rids the world of deviant men. In I Bet You'd Look Good In A Coffin we see a much more mellow Kitty. She's all loved up and this has helped to calm some of her fury. It's not completely suppressed so she also attends, anonymously, a support group so that she has a place to vent her frustration.

A tsunami of events brings things to a head, resulting in Kitty being unable to suppress her anger any longer. The most pressing issue is a social media influencer who is openly misogynistic. It is fairly obvious who this character is based on and the behaviour and reactions are in line with what we see playing out in real life. Kitty gives voice to the feelings of many women, making her objections so vocal makes her a target.

Kitty has the opportunity to flee to the south of France to attend the wedding of her mother and a man she has never met. The location is the perfect place for lots of dressing up and name-dropping. Unfortunately, it looks as if the influencer may have followed Kitty and her life begins to spiral out of control, resulting in her suspecting her mother's fiance of being devious. Not only does she believe he's after her mother's money, she also believes he's the influencer who is targeting her. Kitty's erratic behaviour puts her life at risk. Luckily, unexpected support arrives just when she needs it most, giving the series multiple opportunities for the future.

A fun, fast-paced sequel to How To Kill Men And Get Away With It, that would be a perfect holiday beach read.

Sequels can often feel tiresome and repetitive, but some character development and a change in scenery kept this one feeling fresh.

Meet Kitty Collins, influencer turned vegan serial killer. Yes, you read that correctly, serial killer. But Kitty isn't your common or garden variety serial killer. Like Dexter, Kitty only kills those who deserve it. Men who are misogynists, men who have hurt her friends, or hurt her. Men who hurt women and get away with it.
Kitty is an heiress. She's beautiful, she has friends who care about her, she has a boyfriend who adores her, and she now has a stalker of sorts, who appears to want to do her harm. Can Kitty get to him first?
I Bet You'd Look Good In A Coffin is actually the second Kitty Collins book, but it can be read as a standalone.
I loved this book. With its dark themes and black humour, it was a thrilling and fun read.
Thanks to HQ Stories and Netgalley for the digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This title will be available on 30/01/2025.

Love love love this character so much! I loved the first book and the second one did not disappoint! Who knew you could root so strongly for a serial killer? These books have it all, from killing off bad guys, to emotional moments and dry humour. This seems to end on a cliffhanger so I hope to god that means there will be a third book?!!! So pleased I got to read this as an ARC! 💗

Kitty Collins is back 🔪
Possibly one of my favourite main characters of all time. She has her flaws (plenty of them) but you genuinely cannot help but root for her, she’s a class act and also so so bloody funny.

This book is the follow up to how to kill men and get away with it which was a four star read for me too. I did kind of wonder whether this book could still have the desired effect or whether the character and story was fully exhausted in the first book…

Whilst a variation on the same theme, this book was just as good as its predecessor and allowed us even more classic Kitty with a surprising amount of growth and development. Katy Brent books never fail to make me snigger with laughter and this one is no different and is a welcome aspect in a book that deals with such important and heavy themes.

Violence against women, toxic masculinity and misogyny is unfortunately rampant within society and yet again, I applaud Katy for tackling this issue. It’s just a shame that the main audience for this book are women who, sadly, know this all too well.

In amongst the *serial killer* vibes, the female empowerment vibes are strong and were apparent throughout this book. Although a darkly comedic book that will have you chuckling, the underlying story is also extremely decent.

In summary, a really great and entertaining read, refreshing to see something so different pay off and I cannot wait for the next instalment 🤞🏼

Kitty is back… and she’s trying to be good! She’s sworn off murdering, for now! She’s been going to therapy to help with her anger but is it controlling the urge to rid the world of terrible men? I think not…

Kitty’s mum is back in her life and she’s getting married, Kitty doesn’t think her mums new partners intentions are true to his word. Kitty is also being sent strange videos on Instagram by a misogynistic influencer, threatening her. Then she’s worried her boyfriend is cheating! With all of this going on can Kitty hold herself back from killing?

This is book two in Kitty Collins’ murderous world and I honestly loved it! Funny, dark and quick paced! I’d 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read, I love the character of Kitty, she’s given such depth over these two books and you really feel like you know her. Nice to see some new characters being introduced too. Would love to see more from Katy and I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait until January for this one, thanks NetGalley!

And we're back with our favourite vegan serial killer, but she's been taking a break and hasn't killed in a year, so that means she's not addicted right? Lmao

Full of wit and humour just like the first book however I did feel there were some parts that were that bit more serious this time and kind of touched upon subjects that actually are quite close to home especially for women. With the likes of misogynistic men, etc.
The sisterhood was definitely coming through.. girl power!!

I loved that Kitty was able to re-connect with her mum as despite everything, they had each other's backs. The ending of this book is the one, and I can't wait to see what's in store for us with book 3!

Thanks, Netgalley, for the ARC.

I thought the title might have been a quote from within the book but sadly not. For those who have read Eat Slay Love by Julie Mae Cohen then this is in a similar genre. A one woman vigilante where the appropriate punishment is death to those who she believes would not face any justice from the state. She doesn't always get the correct wrongdoer though!
It's a dark, funny and brisk read, not at all dull.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s witty, at times dark, but it hits you right in the feels.

The main character, Kitty, is different to the average woman in that she has the unusual hobby of killing men - but only if they deserve it! I definitely grew to like Kitty and I was rooting for her by the end.

Parts of the book made me so sad but others made me laugh out loud, and that is testament to the brilliant writing by Katy Brent.

It’s a fast paced, easy to read book. When I first started it, I didn’t realise that it was the second book in a series. This didn’t lessen my enjoyment and it can definitely be read and understood perfectly well as a stand alone. However, I will be going back and reading the first book.

I will be adding Katy Brent to my favourite author list and am looking forward to more books written by her.

This is a review of an ARC which was provided by NetGalley and the publishers.
