Admittedly, I've not read the first book in this series but after reading a lot of disappointing novels exploring female rage - I was excited to read one that actually fulfilled its promise of a main character burning with rage. Most of this book was enjoyable, well paced, and easy to read but some of the characters pulled me away from the narrative a little - their reactions just didn't seem realistic to a lot of things. On the whole though, a fun and easy to read book if you're looking for a beach read with an unhinged (and unlikeable) main character.

Brent delves into some dark and traumatising subjects such as rape, domestic abuse and PTSD for her sequel to the Kitty Collins series.
Kitty is the central character who attends an Angry women Association, while she tells herself it is an alternative to killing, she is getting the itch to start again. Here the women embrace a safe place to voice their anger at husbands, boyfriends and injustice of the juridical system, all under the watchful eye of Kitty, in her role as vigilante. To add to this her best friend Tor, a multiple rape victim is now dating her therapist. Naturally this sends red flags to her.
The plot centres around the wedding of Kitty’s mother, Charmella, who she has an estranged relationship with. Carmella is getting married in Cannes and wants her daughter to walk her down the aisle. As the plot shifts to the past, we are given the reason behind their estrangement and to Kitty’s activities as a serial killer.
In her quest to serve justice on toxic men Kitty follows the disturbing Twitter account of the misogynist Blaze Bundy as he incites hatred and violence towards women. Soon Kitty has reason to believe that she is his real target, and the cat and mouse game begins. Can she kill him before he kills her and will she have to kill others along the way.
This was a great read, fast paced and dark at times. A book I recommend especially to those sleuths out there.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this a head of publication.

Book two in the 'Kitty Collins' series is here, and what a blast it is!
This book follows on from book one, 'How to Kill Men and Get Away With It'. You will need to read the first book "How to Kill Men and Get Away With It" to understand Kitty's life and alot of the content for this one. Also as there is a wee "catch up" at the start of the new one it would then ruin the first book for you. So stop what you're doing and go read the first installment of Kitty Collins life!
We join Kitty this time around where 2 main things are happening. Kitty has been behaving since having a good man in her life, but it's not long before she's back to her old ways and who can really blame her? She has a misogynistic influencer playing games and her mother is remarrying in France, where Kitty has been summoned too. It would be Kitty Collins without some ups and downs, but Kitty does what Kitty does best.
I love Katy Brent as an author, she's funny, diverse and her writing style makes you feel like you're part of the story. Cannot wait for more from her.

I Bet You'd Look Good in A Coffin is the second book in the wonderfully funny series featuring Kitty Collins, the best vegan serial killer in crime fiction.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book How To Kill Men and Get Away With It which I read in April 2023, and despite being almost 18 months ago since I read it, it was easy to pick up from where we last left Kitty and re-enter her rather funny, warped and often disastrous life.
There aren't many books that I read in one sitting, but this is one that grabbed me from the opening chapter and I didn't stop until the final paragraph.
It's now a year since Kitty has killed. She's living with her boyfriend Charlie, still close with her girlfriends and living what appears to be her ideal life, except something isn't quite right. When an invitation arrives to her mother's wedding in the South of France, it coincides with some unwanted attention from a dangerous influencer called Blaze Bundy.
Honestly, this was such a fun story. Kitty is my heroine. It doesn't matter that she's a serial killer because she is sassy, funny, loyal and utterly bonkers and that's why I adore her.
I can't wait to see what happens next to Kitty and hope that Katy Brent has already started writing book 3!

Kitty is officially back!
I was so excited to commence this Sequel to Katy Brent’s How to Kill Men and Get Away With it, and the fact that I smashed through it over a 12 hour period tells you a lot!
I LOVED IT! I was not disappointed! It picks up a few months after the first novel (yes you do need to read the first one) and enters you into a new world of the Vegan Serial Killer.
The anger at men and the patriarchy is still very much there, and you feel it from even the minor characters in the story, however there is also a softer side. As you see the FMC struggle with her great relationships and life vs the injustice we all see and feel every day.
There are new twists, new murders, a lot of relationship building and changes for all characters that will leave you begging for more! I really hope there is a third novel as I need to know what she gets up to next!
4.5/5 stars! Only reason this is not 5 stars is because I just wish there had been more murder in it 😂.
Happy reading peoples 🤗

Where to begin…
I absolutely loved the first book and hoped for a sequel and … it did not disappoint! Kitty Collins has to be my favourite book character of all time , her humour , whit , brains and sheer knowledge of how to kill men and get away with it is enthralling from the first page. This book was a wild ride and kept you guessing from the start even though the clues set you up to figure it out before kitty herself. The setting of France was also very luxurious adding to the smoothness of the read. The plot kept me fixated on finishing not wanting to put it down , and the ending gave me the biggest smile on my face as I know we will see Kitty again .. hopefully after all we need to see how her little adventure ends. Totally In love with Katy’s style of writing it’s dark but utterly brilliant I hope she will keep giving us the joy that is Kitty Collins for a long time to come.
Thank you so much Net Galley for allowing me to read this early.

This was an incredible read, but I was not surprised by this as Katy Brent books are always 5 star reads!
This book was filled with secrets, tension, twists and turns and it certainly kept me on my toes throughout.
Not only was I surprised by the revelation of who Bryce Bundy was… but they threw an extra twist in there that really made my jaw drop!
I love that there are hints towards a third book too as I just cannot get enough of Kitty Collins!

Oh how I loved the first book - How to Kill Men and Get Away With It. I didn't feel short changed or like I needed a sequel and so was intrigued how she was going to do it.
It gets right in there, there's no preamble. Sequels can be a tricky thing. You sort of have three options:
Repeat everything that happened in the first one so that a reader can start with the second
Don't mention anything from the first one and instead rely on the reader remembering
Hint and reference things from the first one but assume the reader has read it but maybe can't remember everything about it, especially if there's been a big gap between the two books
This book goes with option three. Now, I'm lucky that I received this book as an early copy and so read it shortly after the first one, and so I remembered the majority of what happened. Having said that, I read a lot of books, and so not everything was that easy to remember, but with a few key references to the first book, I was right in. I think Katy has found the right balance in reminding the reader what happened but not just regurgitating the entire story.
There is less death in this one. Don't get me wrong, there's still death and it's still satisfying, but they're more thought through by Kitty, planned a bit more, which in a way makes them all the worse because there's more detail.
There is also a lot more focus on the characters and their relationships with each other which was nice. I got to know them in the first book, but this book gave me time to really understand them.
I felt much more angry at this book. Not at the book itself as such, but at the topic. About misogyny, about senseless attacks on women (and men, but the focus is on women in this book and so I shall focus on that too). If only it was true just in fictional books, rather than reflected in reality. It is an entertaining and enjoyable story, I get it, it's fictional, but I think it starts an important conversation, and I think that's what more stories should do - open up a conversation.
I do have another of Katy's books - The Murder After the Night Before - which I assumed was just another Kitty Collins book, but I don't think it is, but it is on the same wavelength. And so I'm happy that I've got that waiting for me.
I read it in a day. It is so inviting and addictive. It reminds me in a way of C.J Skuse's Sweetpea series, which is another series I absolutely love, and I really want more books like this.
I really hope she continues with this Kitty series - it certainly looks like she will. Each book ends in a satisfying way but there's definitely room for more stories, and I am definitely all for it. They're fun and funny and gorey and they're just great to read. I've recommended them to several people already.

Ahh! Such a good sequel to how to kill men. Our favourite serial killer kitty returns! Such a fun read, twists and turns round every corner. It’s great to see female empowerment and females protecting females against the broken justice system come to life through kitty. Katy Brent seriously cannot fail! She keeps you hooked from beginning to end. I’m so curious to see if there is a book 3 following more of kittys adventures! Thank you so much for allowing me to read the early release!

I have read the previous book and loved it so was thrilled to be given the chance to read the sequel ,and I wasn't disappointed. Kitty is a serial killer ,a rich heiress who wears fabulous clothes has never worked in her life and kills only predatory men .For a year she has been happy with new boyfriend Charlie and all seems well until she is getting that itch again surrounded by awful men who are just asking to be killed .This is a fun read with a few twists and turns some good characters ,fabulous .Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC .

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ digital publishing for providing an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
After reading and loving How to kill men and get away with it earlier this year, I was so excited to be approved for this ARC!
I bet you'd look good in a coffin is book #2 in the kitty Collins series. Following the titular kitty Collins, a rich influencer and heiress to a meat processing company who murders men who she deems deserves it. Mainly murderers, predators, pedophiles, rapists and wife beaters. In this edition she is going against the antagonist whilst dealing with her estranged mother who is marrying seemingly a stranger out of the blue.
This is a direct sequel to how to kill men and get away with it, these cannot be read out of order; the entire plot of the first book is spoiled in the first 50 pages of this. If you haven't read that first I highly recommend you do.
Given that, it is hard to discuss the plot in much detail without heavy spoilers.
The antagonist of the book is known by the alias "Blaze Bundy". He is a social media persona that incites hate and violence towards women and has taken an interest in Kitty, seemingly knowing the events of book 1. I would liken his character to a love child of Donald trump and Andrew Tate.
The twist at the end in hindsight is quite predictable and I kicked myself for not guessing it sooner. There is a red herring about 2/3 into the book which I thought was quite an obvious red herring.
I did very much enjoy this and similarly to book 1 was a very quick and fun read. I don't think I enjoyed it quite as much there just seemed to be something missing.
Compared to book 1 this book has less murder but approaches difficult and hard topics harder and in more depth. There are semi-detailed descriptions of sexual assaults and attempted rapes which would not be appropriate for every reader to read.
"Men like that think 'no' is a negotiation... and if that doesn't work, they just take what they want anyway"

Kitty's back!!!
If you haven't yet read "How to kill men and get away with it", you really ought to do it before starting this book!
My summary of "How to kill..." was:
"Kitty Collins. Influencer. Meat princesses. Killer."
There is less influencer and less meat processing, and she's done really well not killing off any men lately. But, then there's Blaze Bundy, an anonymous influencer spreading misogyny online (inspired perhaps by A. Tate?), and her urge to kill is back...
As Cassie, Kitty's friend, said:
‘Men like that think “no” is a negotiation,’ [...] ‘And if that doesn’t work, they just take what they want anyway.’
Serious topics wrapped up on a hilariously entertaining package, a distant but unexpectedly helpful mum, wrong sounding right, and supporting violence to ensure calm and safety. It shouldn't feel this good to want the bad...
Huge THANK YOU to NetGalley and HQ Digital for allowing me to review an eARC of this book.

I loved this! Another great outing for kitty Collins that completely transports you to another world and lots of fun

Another brilliantly funny book from Katy Brent!
Kitty Collins from How To Kill Men and Get Away With It is back and this time she’s given up killing men - that is until she becomes the target of anonymous misogynist influencer Blaze Bundy.
Kitty is determined to find out his true identity and what he wants with her.
I love Kitty as a character, I don’t care that she kills men i’m rooting for her (which probably says a lot about me) she’s brilliant. I loved being swept up in her world again, and will read 100 of these books - I love them.

Rating: 4.0/5
I loved the first two books by Katy Brent, so there was never any question that I was going to be returning for book three - and another satisfying read it is too. For this third offering the author has written a sequel to her debut novel, "How to Kill Men and Get Away With It", featuring the central protagonist, Kitty Collins. As I wrote in my review of that debut novel, the character of Kitty and her exploits take their inspiration from the character of "Sweetpea", created by C.J. Skuse. Both narratives are packed with highly entertaining dark and acerbic humour, but also raise some extremely serious social issues, with a vengeance-driven anti-heroine at the heart of the story.
If you read and enjoyed "How to Kill Men and Get Away With It", then you are sure to love this sequel too. The downside is that if you haven't read that first book, then you won't be able to fully appreciate this follow-up, as it doesn't really work well as a standalone. So, rather than missing out, I suggest you pick up a copy of that series opener and then you can come back for this one afterwards.
Given that "I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin" picks up where "How to Kill Men and Get Away With It" left off and continues with similar themes and attitudes, then it should come as no real surprise that it lacks some of the originality and "shock value" of its predecessor. The first two-thirds of this novel is essentially an entertaining continuation of Kitty's story and it is really only in the final third that it develops its own distinct personality. Personally, I didn't mind that at all, as I am very much an admirer of Katy Brent's fluently engaging writing style. That admiration also ensures that I will most definitely be coming back for her next novel too.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for supplying an ARC in return for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a digital arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!
4 Stars! This book was so much fun, it was great to be back with Kitty! Sometimes she can be a flawed character, and does things that irk me, but I did warm to her more in this book than the first. Everything I enjoyed about the first book, this second book just levelled up on that much more. I did prefer this one to the first book - I loved seeing new characters added and this one definitely felt more emotional and heartfelt, seeing more if Kitty's mother and getting a mother & daughter relationship within the story. It was funny, exciting, and so honest and truthful. Katy Brent is so brilliant at writing such witty novels, I rarely find myself physically chuckling to my books, but with this series, Katy manages to evoke that emotion from me! And while writing about such a sensitive topic and the truth of female rage, to be able to put a smile on my face and make me laugh, is such a testament to how much of an amazing writer she is, I also had the pleasure of attending a book signing of hers . This book would be such an amazing recommendation for somebody stuck in a reading slump, it is the perfect book recipe for the cure! - fast paced, thrilling and funny.

I have loved the author's first two books and imagine my delight when I started reading this and realised very quickly that this is a sequel to her first book. Oh the joy and the messiness of Kit's life and deception knows no bounds. Brilliant, just brilliant.
More of the same please Katy Brent!
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for the advanced copy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for this ARC.
This is the sequel to How To Kill Men and Get Away With It. It's a year later, Kitty Collins is happily shacked up with Charlie Chambers and has sworn off killing. Instead, she weekly attends Angry Women Anonymous, which is exactly how it sounds - women who have been given a hard time by toxic men gather to unload frustration. Kitty would love to kill the men in those women's lives but she won't because she's a new woman.
Unfortunately for her willpower, social media is full of misogynistic men displaying toxic masculinity of the ilk of Andrew Tate. One such bloke is someone calling himself Blaze Bundy, and for some unknown reason he targets Kitty in his videos. Who is he and what does he want with her? It'll be murder to find him.
Then her friend Tor gets involved with her therapist Dr Adrian Ward, she is being told about Max MacIntyre, a media personality who grooms young women, and her usually absent mother Carmella invites her to her wedding in France to a guy she's never heard of. Suddenly Kitty has her hands full.
I loved the first book which had a high body count. This one only manages three, as Kitty talks a lot about revenge but takes the first half of the book to get back into her groove, valiantly trying but ultimately failing to keep her bloodlust at bay. Also, I like the idea of revenge but not so much all the blood and gore, so whenever Kitty acted, I was first saying "Yay, finally!", closely followed by "Ewww!"
I liked how a mirror was held to how women are still treated in the legal system and how often misogynistic behaviour is ignored. The problem is real and the rage is real.
There were a lot of twists and turns but I thought the identity of Blaze Bundy was kind of predictable. However, this time Kitty got help from surprising quarters, and I was very ok with the happy endings for the Angry Women!
Recommended if you like books by C.J. Skuse, Julie Mae Cohen and Eve Kellman.
"The family that slays together stays together."

Kitty Collins is back - and what a comeback!
Since we left her at the end of How To Kill Men and Get Away With It, Kitty has been enjoying life. She has joined an Angry Women Therapy group, settled down with her boyfriend, Charlie and it's been a year since her last killed. Unfortunately, there are horrid, misogynistic men everywhere. One in particular is a social media influencer called Blaze Bundy who for some reason appears to have set his sights on Kitty.
As well as all that, out of the blue, she receives an invitation to her mother's wedding to a man that she's never met and then Charlie springs a surprise birthday party on her.
This is without a doubt, my favourite book of the year. Kitty really develops throughout this book and it's great to read.
There are red herrings all over the place and I was truly kept on the edge of my seat.
There are gory, gross moments in here but it's also sarcastic, funny and very, very clever.
I will be shouting about this book to everyone and anyone that will listen and I can't wait for the next in the series.
Please, please buy it.

Ahhhhhhhhh, Kitty Collins is back!
This one continues on after HOW TO KILL MEN AND GET AWAY WITH IT and is just as dark and funny.
There's so much going on and Kitty can't cope with it all that, of course, she resorts to murder. (I mean, I'd also be struggling if I was in her place!)
Kitty is my new favourite anti-heroine and I want more books about her!
