Kitty is back… and she’s trying to be good! She’s sworn off murdering, for now! She’s been going to therapy to help with her anger but is it controlling the urge to rid the world of terrible men? I think not…

Kitty’s mum is back in her life and she’s getting married, Kitty doesn’t think her mums new partners intentions are true to his word. Kitty is also being sent strange videos on Instagram by a misogynistic influencer, threatening her. Then she’s worried her boyfriend is cheating! With all of this going on can Kitty hold herself back from killing?

This is book two in Kitty Collins’ murderous world and I honestly loved it! Funny, dark and quick paced! I’d 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read, I love the character of Kitty, she’s given such depth over these two books and you really feel like you know her. Nice to see some new characters being introduced too. Would love to see more from Katy and I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait until January for this one, thanks NetGalley!

My favourite Vegan Serial Killer, Kitty Collins is back ridding London and now France of disgusting men.

I loved the first book “How to kill men and get away with it” and the follow up has exceeded expectations for me. Again the perfect blend of humour and murder. There were parts of the book where I was convinced I knew what was coming, only to have guessed it completely wrong. I honestly adore Kitty and her mother.

Katy Brent is back and wow did she go above and beyond! I have to start this off by saying how lucky I feel to have been given the chance to read this book so early and I can guarantee that this will be a highlight of the year ahead. Following on from her must read debut novel "How to Kill men and Get away with it" Brent brings back beloved anti- heroine and controversial vigilante Kitty Collins with readers left wondering is this influencer ready to put her murdering ways behind her and enjoy love with her partner Charlie, or will bad habits surface once again.

I found this to be a perfect sequel! Following on from the previous book, readers are introduced to Kitty Collins and her life a year on from where we left off and keen to ditch her old ways in exchange for a new life, Kitty is left fighting an urge that consumes her every being. Throughout we are treated to dark witty humour, twists and turns and fast paced action that keeps you hooked throughout. The pacing of this intense yet fun thriller meant this was an easy read for me and I found myself up until the early hours of the morning consuming every single page. Old characters are put right back in front of us including Kitty's friendship group and boyfriend along with new characters along away. A key new face readers are introduced to is online misogynist Blaze Bundy who presents as a very relevant and annoyingly common character, reflecting real life personas we see in our day to day life. Touching on the rise of incel culture and online violence and the normalisation of violence against women and misogyny, this was a book that felt extremely current while also tapping into the female rage so many are experiencing thanks to the rise in all that was just mentioned. Kitty Collins presents herself as the face of female rage and revenge and it makes for a satisfying and intense read.

The book also doesn't hold back on its gory scenes with excellently written detailed descriptions of some of the most gory moments to take place. The new scenes and settings, character introductions and further exploring of Kitty's relationships with people in her life readers are left feeling even closer to Miss Collins, while also feeling frustrations towards her actions and admiration for her heart and compassion. We see new sides to Kitty and development of other characters which adds to the overall story. I loved how this book kept me guessing and I genuinely didn't see several of the twists that came our way.

Katy Brent has gifted her fans with an excellent fast paced thriller full of action, emotion, gore and humour. This was a read that felt current and action packed, keeping you on the edge of your seat as you read further. Going into this fans are sure to have high expectations following a brilliant first book but not only did Brent live up to those expectations she exceeded them and dare I say I enjoyed this even more than the first which I had already rated a five star. Left wanting even more from Katy Brent and Kitty Collins I cannot recommend this book enough. This right here is a must read.

I ate this book up so fast!!! It was witty, dark and very very fun! It was great to see Kitty go through a lot of human (and not so human) emotions. I thought I had guessed a lot so was extremely cocky, turns out I was wrong each time lol. I wasn't a huge fan of the twist though, it came out of nowhere in my opinion. I also would've loved a tiny bit more unaliving but I did really enjoy the journey Kitty was on.

I BET YOUD LOOK GOOD IN A COFFIN by KATY BRENT ⚰️

Our favourite female vigilante serial killer Kitty Collins has returned, but this time she is trying to be good. With all the same dry humour, mystery, and plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing, Brent has produced a killer (pun intended) sequel. I really enjoyed How to Kill Men And Get Away With It, but honestly I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin is even better.

As with Brents other books the use of wit and almost caricature characters lighten the mood in an otherwise heavy and very real issues women face every day. The story never feels too heavy but you still get to see the true impact of how violence against women affects our every day lives and what I thought was great here was that we got to see that the trauma doesn’t just leave after X amount of time, or even after “justice” has been served (in whatever format that might come * cough cough kittys karma*). But like I said, this never feels too heavy while ready, I didn’t need to take breaks and in reality, I flew through this story in no time.

Brent is great at writing a quick paced story. I never felt too far away from the next piece of action with Kittys knack for getting herself into trouble there was always some form of hilarity or, on the other end of the scale, travesty just around the corner.

The beautiful location of sun, sand, sea, and an over the top luxurious hotel in the south of France was making me jealous as I sat reading this at home with wind and rain outside, but I wouldn’t expect anything less in Kitty Collins life.

This is a great fun sequel to the first Kitty Collins book - she's now sworn off murder and is attending a support group to help her manage her anger. But does it really need managing? Or do some men just get what they deserve?

Katy Brent’s I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin picks up the thread of Kitty Collins's story with a delightful blend of humour, mystery, and a touch of the macabre. After thoroughly enjoying Brent's first instalment, my anticipation for this sequel was high, and I’m pleased to say it lived up to my expectations.

Brent's writing style remains sharp and engaging, perfectly capturing Kitty's quirky charm and her knack for finding herself in outrageous situations. The plot is cleverly woven, filled with unexpected twists that kept me guessing while still allowing for those moments of laugh-out-loud humour that Brent is known for. The pacing is brisk, making it hard to put down, as each chapter leaves you eager to find out what happens next.

What I particularly appreciated in this sequel is the development of Kitty’s character. We see her grow, facing new challenges that not only test her wit but also her friendships and relationships. The supporting cast is just as delightful, each bringing their own flair to the story and enriching Kitty's journey.

Brent balances the darker themes of the narrative with a light-hearted tone, ensuring that while readers may ponder the serious questions of life and death, they’re also thoroughly entertained. The incorporation of gothic elements adds a unique flavour that sets this series apart in the contemporary fiction landscape.

Overall, I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin is a worthy follow-up that maintains the charm and intrigue of its predecessor. Whether you’re a fan of the first book or new to Kitty’s world, this instalment is sure to delight and entertain. I’m already looking forward to seeing where Brent takes Kitty next! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a mix of humour and mystery wrapped in a gothic bow.

Kitty Collins is back, and she’s more fabulous—and dangerous—than ever! In this latest installment, we dive into the mind of our favorite anti-heroine, whose sharp wit and dark humor keep us both entertained and horrified.
Kitty’s internal struggle with her violent impulses is both compelling and darkly funny. She grapples with her desire to kill, especially when faced with the online misogyny of influencer Blaze Bundy. It’s a clever commentary on modern society’s issues wrapped in a narrative full of sass and edge.
Set against the sun-soaked backdrop of the South of France, the story juxtaposes Kitty's glamorous surroundings with her sinister intentions. Instead of lounging by the pool with a cocktail, she’s contemplating murder while dealing with family dynamics at her mother’s wedding. This tension creates a unique blend of humor and suspense that keeps the reader on their toes.
The writing is sharp, with Kitty’s voice shining through in every snarky remark and introspective thought. It’s a deliciously thrilling ride, reminding us that while Kitty may be a killer, she’s also a woman with a complex set of morals and motivations.
If you enjoy anti-heroines with a penchant for chaos and a razor-sharp tongue, this book is a must-read. Kitty Collins proves once again that sometimes, the most compelling characters are the ones who straddle the line between right and wrong. An absolute page-turner that leaves you eagerly awaiting Kitty's next move!

I was so excited to be approved for an ARC of this book. Katy Brent is one of my favourite current authors and I’d been so excited to read this one since she announced it on instagram.

Just like Kitty, the vegan serial killer, I am a vegetarian who LOVES gory books. I certainly wasn’t disappointed with this one. It was great to catch up on Kitty’s story and was glad to see that the ending allows for a third instalment. Katy’s writing style is relaxed and easy to read, I absolutely devoured this book in the space of a few hours. The characters are well developed and the pacing was really good, I felt like I was racing through but each part of the story was given enough time to develop without it feeling like the story was dragging.

I enjoyed the introduction of some new key characters and that previous minor characters came to the front a little bit in this instalment. I am excited to see where the story goes next!

Brent expertly weaves a tale that is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining, tackling the realities of misogyny while keeping the reader on their toes with Kitty’s outrageous plans. The witty banter, the audacious plot twists, and Kitty’s delightful sass make this a page-turner you won’t want to put down.

"Its not even about what happened to me. Its what is happening to us always. All the fucking time. It's not fun to be a woman. No matter how much we think the world has changed, it really hasn't."

Wow. Only the other day I was discussing with friends how It seems every week on the news we are hearing horrific stories about women being target and abused in many different heartbreaking ways. We live in a society where narcissistic misogynist's can easily access platforms on social media to spread their hatred promoting toxic masculinity. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to read a book that is willing to highlight and discuss these issues. The author is masterful in refusing to shy away from the subject matter but also adding in some much needed light hearted humour to ease the strain of reading such a heavy topic.

The story starts off with Kitty telling us about a rising social media "influencer" called "Blaze Bundy" who is dangerously misogynistic and derogatory towards women. We then follow Kitty through a journey of trying (and failing) to control her anger, relationships with her friends, her mum and her boyfriend and the concerning threats directed at her from Blaze. This all comes to a head in a really gripping way with some great twists and turns, I could not put this book down.

Honestly? I adored Kitty. I'm not going to sit here and say Kitty is without flaw. My girl NEEDS to get herself some therapy. Oh and maybe I've left it a little late in my review to drop the news that she's a serial killer...but I truly am rooting for her to get a happy ending.

All this to say, I really loved this book, its thought provoking, heartbreaking, funny, real, raw and a little wacky. A pretty great combination.

Some quotes I loved...

"It just all makes me so angry. Every time I turn on the news. Every time I go on social media. Every time I speak to a woman. There's just so much that makes me angry. Bea, I am literally sat here wanting to kill your ex-husband. But not just him, I also want to murder the judge that handed your babies over to him. I want to punch the people who made the judicial system so fucking anti-women in the face over and over again until their brains explode out of their ears"

"My mind already several miles ahead of me wondering who she is, who she wont be going home to tonight and which man is responsible for her death. Because it's always a man, isn't it?"

“Just another victim of the patriarchy he doesn’t believe in. Another white man who is furious that his life didn't deliver what it was supposed to and he wants to blame a women for it."

Thank you to NetGalley for the free ARC ❤️

I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin ✩✩✩✩.5

Thank you to NetGalley, HQ and Katy Brent for the opportunity to read this book ahead of its review in return for my honest review.

Kitty Collins is back, and she’s setting the world to rights in her own special way.

We follow Kitty as she tries to start a new chapter in her life. Just as she approaches 30, she decides it’s time to turn her back on influencer life and murder, in exchange for a healthy relationship and self care, including attending a support group for women dealing with their anger. The problem is, the world is just still full of men that make this world a difficult place to be for women, so what is a girl to do?

I have been very lucky to read all of Katy Brent’s books as ARCs, including How To Kill Men And Get Away With It, which is where we first meet our beloved morally grey character, Kitty Collins. A vegan heiress to an abattoir empire, ridding the world of toxic men, one murder at a time. There’s something so deliciously addictive about Katy’s books and I always find myself not being able to put them down. I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin is no exception. Easy to read, so much fun, and full of twists and turns that you never see coming. This book will leave you gasping and giggling throughout.

All I can say is, I hope we see more of Miss Kitty Collins and her murderous ways in the future!

The usual and now expected bananas mad book by Katy Brent. Kitty is back, settled in a loving relationship with Charlie I’m getting on with her life free. And yet there is something in the air., and something on the Internet, that wakes up her indignation at the cruelty and callousness of some men towards the women in their lives. The book covers abuse, attempted rape, guns and shooting and also man to fit in a beautiful wedding in the south of France and pregnancy. The murders are gruesome and yet at the same time, Katie Brent manages to make each chapter humorous, often slightly ridiculous, but still very very funny.

In this instalment, Kitty is trying to stop killing, but it’s hard when she hears awful stories in her support group and is threatened by a toxic social media influencer, Blaze Bundy. You can’t help but love Kitty even though she is a serial killer!!!!

This book is perfect for fans of dark humour, thrillers, and reads that take a good look at societal issues. If you enjoyed How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, you’ll love this one too 🔪

I was SO excited to hear that Katy Brent was releasing this sequel because I ADORED the first. Kitty Collins character is like no other and I’m so glad she’s back! I didn’t think it would be possible but I actually thought this was even better than the first book. The storyline was brilliant all the way through, I loved the mystery of not knowing who Blaze Bundy was, I was constantly guessing people throughout (and was always wrong). There’s two main things that I think make these books work so well and it’s that there’s such an important topic involved with patriarchy and misogyny, toxic relationships and behaviours and it’s such an important subject. I think the support group worked really well in recognising and understanding what women experience, you genuinely understand the anger and frustration of Kitty, there was a line in there about the justice system that will always stick with me! The other thing that makes the book work so well is that where there’s this serious topic, there’s also so much humour! I love how sarcastic Kitty is and the dark humour gives a great balance to the story, I loved the additional characters, they all had great chemistry and as previously said, the storyline stayed strong all the way through. It was a brilliant read, I highly recommend it and I will continue to read everything that Katy Brent releases because she’s such an incredible author.

Another great instalment in the Kitty Collins story! It made such a good beach read on my holiday! Kitty is a great character and I enjoyed the storyline in this one, I definitely didn’t see the twist coming though! I thought I’d figured it out but I was definitely wrong!
