🖊 Kitty Collins is back, but she's sworn of killing men. She's in therapy, and she's enjoying life with her perfect boyfriend. But things get complicated because Kitty is being harassed by an anonymous influencer who is spreading misogynistic hate online. His name is Blaze Bundy. Kitty is also dealing with her mother marrying a man that Kitty has never met. Maybe one more kill wouldn't hurt...
💭 I always have such a fun time reading books by this author. Kitty is definitely a very interesting character who is trying to stop and change her ways. I enjoyed this book, and the plot was engaging. It was fun to see Kitty go to France and the events that happen whilst she's there.
The story flowed well, and it was fast-paced. It didn't take me long at all to read because I just really wanted to know what happened. You end up being suspicious of absolutely everyone, mostly because that's what Kitty is like. The writing, the plot, and the pacing all contribute, making this a book you don't want to put down because you just need to know what happens next. I think the author did well at creating a plot that is different from what happened in the first book because when I finished that, I wasn't sure what would happen next.
Kitty's mother and her relationship with Kitty are also interesting to read about. The book has various twists and turns, some that are more surprising than others. There is a great mix of dark humour and mystery. Kitty is an unreliable narrator, but if you choose to pick up this book, I think you'll really enjoy reading about what she gets up to. If you're looking for a dark comedy with a fast-paced plot, then I recommend this book. Please check warnings online for this book before you read it.
Thank you to Katy Brent and HarperCollins for the e-ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

"The family that slays together stays together"
I haven't read the first book in this series so wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed this book and could follow it easily despite not reading book 1. Kitty is hilarious as our FMC, even through all of her trauma and the heartbreak surrounding her, her dark humour and bluntness made the story light-hearted whilst serious and informative.

Well, the Boss babe in her Manolo Blahnik’s is back and she is just as feisty as before!
Kitty Collins returns to us a year after we left her, now with a penchant for penitence and self help groups. She is happy, very happy in fact, with the gorgeous Charlie and loving a peaceful life in London. She is desperately working on her murderous addiction and things seem to be ticking along nicely. It’s just that little, annoying things keep getting in the way… like a disgusting, mysogonistic troll named Blaze Bundy, an inappropriate love interest for one of her nearest and dearest, an unexpected wedding invitation involving a suspected gold digger and a girl after her boyfriend. You know, just those little things that can drive us mad but can drive Kitty Collins to murder…
This is another Katy Brent artwork; full of pace, action, gore, emotion, macabre thoughts and Sancerre. I ate this sequel up and loved it. There are twists and turns, reveals and cliff hangers.
Do I think that Kitty is a psychotic nutter with a murderous addiction?
Definitely.
Do I think that she is loveable, kind and the best friend to have in a crisis?
Absobloodylutely!
Do I hope there is a third instalment in the pipeline?
You bethcha!
Dexter in minolos is back girls and she’s having a ball!
I’d like to thank HQ Stories, NetGalley and the author for the arc and the fantastic opportunity, in exchange for my honest feedback 😊

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this arc.
I loved this book! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was so excited to read this next book. I really enjoyed the dark humour, and the twists, and can’t wait to read the next book from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ Digital/Harper Collins for giving me access to an advance copy of this book.
I actually ended up reading this before reading How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, however, because I loved the writing style so much and despite what I assume are references to the first book in the Kitty Collins series, I would happily go and read the first book too.
I read The Murder After The Night Before last year and felt that it fell a bit flat and could have done more to truly cement the awful nature of misogyny and VAWG. I feel like I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin fills in the gaps I felt whilst reading Murder After the Night Before. I felt like the hopelessness of so many women when it comes to receiving justice for crimes committed at the hands of misogynistic men in a system built against them was captured well.
Having said this, I feel like the story dragged ever so slightly towards some of the later chapters. The plot twists, however, kept coming which again, was something I had missed in Murder After the Night Before.
Overall I did really enjoy reading this book but would advise to check trigger warnings before reading!

This book is the second in the Kitty Collins series. I loved the first book so much, and I love this one maybe more?
Kitty is, as ever, angry and murderous though she has tried to change her ways. It was great to bring in a new member of the family this time, and I absolutely adore her mum - who thought?!!
This did have my heart in my throat a good few times compared to the last book to the point I was annoyed that I had to go out straight from work socialising when I was at a crucial point - wondering what was going to happen as I walked to a restaurant. Usually I can “switch off” but not this time. I was worried!
An absolutely fantastic second book. Can we hurry up with a third please? It can’t end like this?
My thanks to Netgalley and HQ for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow what an emotional rollercoaster that was! I read the authors first book how to kill men and get away with it, which I absolutely loved. But this book showed a really different side to the beautiful man killer Kitty Collins. At the start of the book we see Kitty retired from murder, trying to live a “good” life with her boyfriend Charlie.. she begins attending an angry women’s help group, but how long will she be able to stay on the straight and narrow? I always thought of kitty as an anti hero but I really loved seeing her softer side in this book and you can’t help but to love her. I really enjoyed seeing her vulnerability in the relationship with her Mum. Following them rebuilding their relationship was just gorgeous. This book kept me in the edge of my seat Kitty goes from one crisis to the next, some of them were jaw dropping! I loved this book to much I went straight out to buy The murder after the night before. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an advanced copy of this book.

The sequel to *How To Kill Men And Get Away With It* is just as brilliant as the first book. Even though Kitty is a serial killer, I just can't help but like her and be her biggest cheerleader.
I do like how it follows on from *HTKMAGAWI*, and we learn that Kitty is still with and living with Charlie; she still has a great relationship with Tor and Maisie, and she seems to be taking steps to overcome her addiction to killing bad men. But as Kitty turns 30, her mother is getting married in France and wants Kitty there, and she is getting death threats from a misogynistic social media influencer—she has a lot going on.
Great character development. I love how it references the first book and helps fill in the blanks if you've forgotten some bits from book 1, and the twist at the end is superb. I'm really hoping there is a book 3 in the Kitty Collins series.

This book follows on from How to kill men and get away with it, and Katy Brent has really, truly nailed this genre.
Despite all the lightheartedness of this novel, there is a serious undertone and the message is, Women are vulnerable. It doesn’t matter how many alarms you carry, what self defence classes you take or how you dress, Men are dangerous.
Kitty Collins is our antihero, and following the events in the last novel, has an agreed recovery plan to stop killing men. She has joined the Angry Women Anonymous group. There she hears similar stories of verbal/ sexual abuse, rape, coercive control and manipulative husbands, boyfriend and strangers, she would love to right these wrongs, but she is a good girl now!!
Kitty still has her loyal friends, Maisie and Antoinette on her side, and her boyfriend, Charlie, who is totally unaware of her darker side. However, Kitty and her mother are still estranged, murders will do that to the closest family.
All goes well until Kitty believes she has a toxic stalker , they seem to know all her carefully kept secrets, and the impulse to sharpen those knives begins to show, the power and the thrill is too much to resist.
Kitty returns to the work in hand, throat or whatever body part she is aiming for!! There is nothing like a wedding to bring out family loyalty, and mother has always been good at clearing up other peoples messes!
I really enjoyed and laughed out loud at this story, most inappropriate of course- but, whatever! Another stunning book to recommend to my local library and book groups. A five star read, no doubt at all.
My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers HQ Books for my ARC, freely given in exchange for my honest review. I will leave copies to Goodreads and Amazon UK upon publication.

I loved this one. A follow up to her earlier book continues the story of Kitty Collins and her addiction to killing men. When we first meet Kitty again when she is blissfully happy and living with Charlie. The only thing missing for her is killing men, only the ones who deserve it though. She is trying so hard to quash her feelings so that she can have a normal relationship to the extent she attends and Angry Women’s Anonymous group.
Kitty’s descent into killing again is incredibly dark but also very funny in parts.
Aside from saying that family member get involved I don’t want to ruin anyone’s enjoyment with spoilers.

A great read.
Kitty Collins is a female serial killer who kills men who hurt women especially her friends, but since meeting her boyfriend Charlie 18 months ago she hasn`t killed but is getting itchy feet especially her hatred for Blaze Bundy a blogger who hates women.
The book is full of humour with a bit of gore added.
The second in the series and another great read.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC and I give my honest review.

Kitty Collins is back and she's as brilliant as ever!
Funny, sassy, and dark, the addictive new instalment in Katy Brent's series is full of laugh out loud moments all the while not shying away from heavy topics.
I loved all the twists and turns. Katy Brent has done it again!

Funny, sassy and fast paced. Such a great read to keep you interested and wanting to keep picking it up, I binged this in 24 hours

I loved this book. It made me laugh and cry in equal measures! Kitty is a fascinating character and I could not put this book down.
I especially loved the group Angry Women Anonymous and everyone’s journey in that group. They were truly inspiring characters and so relatable.
I could easily join them for a cup of tea or join Kitty for a glass of wine at this rate!

Thank you to Netgalley and HQ for an arc of this.
A crime novel sprinkled with feminism, rage and humour is the best description. While it clearly addresses the issues women face every day, it takes the edge off with a humorous serial killer ridding the world of misogynistic men.
Kitty Collins is full of rage, more rage than most people will ever experience. Her outlet is removing those she deems the most toxic from the world. Given the topics this book should feel like a heavy read but the humour keeps it light-hearted. I would still check your triggers warnings as it does touch on some sensitive topics.
I surprised myself with this book and had a lot of fun. It was an easy read that I kept wanting to pick back up.

✨4.5 stars✨
I really enjoyed this book filled with female rage! Even more so than the previous book. I found myself hooked from the first few chapters and from then on I just couldn’t put it down.
I found it really interesting being inside Kitty’s head and found myself rooting for her, despite her sometimes questionable actions and reactions to situations. There were several times where I laughed out loud.
Therefore, I would recommend this book!
I received an ARC from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I enjoyed how to kill men and get away with it and I really rated the murder after the night before so I was super excited to receive an advanced copy via NetGalley. This one is, in my humble opinion, Katy's best yet. Dark humour, but also showing a bit more of Kitty, her vulnerabilities and personality beyond the kills.
The main premise of this book is all about finding and taking down Blaze Bundy, an anonymous influencer spreading misogyny online and taunting Kitty. I loved the twists and turns and didn't predict who Blaze Bundy was at all. We also get a bit more of insight into her relationship with her mum and CRUCIALLY, the ending leaves it open for another installment!
I found the writing and the plot to be even better than previous books and I was totally invested in backing Kitty in her mission to rid the world of rotters! A great read and one I'd recommend for your 2025 tbr!

I absolutely loved this book. t was my first book by this author and I laughed out loud, Im going to have to go back and read the previous book now!

★★★★★ 4.5 stars
I think this may be my favourite Katy Brent book so far! I’m always sceptical of sequels where the first book seems intended as standalone, so this exceeded expectations!
We join Kitty struggling with the events of the last book. Brent explores hard topics, such as toxic masculinity and misogyny, but makes them accessible through dark humour and clever social commentary - I loved the idea of AWA (Angry Women Anonymous) support group!
As I’ve come to expect, Brent’s writing is engaging and witty. Kitty is not without flaw - in fact she has many - but this doesn’t stop us rooting for her. I’m famously bad at guessing twists and I got this one so wrong! It was so gripping I read most of it in a long bath (and came out like a prune).
I would jump for a third book!! Either way, I hope Kitty gets some SERIOUS therapy this time.

What an absolute treat this book was, I hadn't read the first book in this series and I am usually a bit wary of books that sit in both the crime and humour genre but this one did not disappoint! Perfect for any fans of the movie 'Promising Young Woman' or the book 'How to kill your family'.
Firstly, I immediately fell in love with the protagonist Kitty (Kits), she is painfully genuine and has such a big heart. Her Robin Hood-esque mission to rid the world of awful men struck a chord with me and she was such an enjoyable character to ride along with for this journey. I love where the book picked up with Kate as a reformed serial killer and it felt like such a nice natural start point for readers who were familiar with the protagonist but also readers like me for who this was their first rodeo. Kitty's personality shines through so much and we see both her caring and sometimes sarcastic side but also the inquisitive and fearless nature she has which drives the plot with so much force. Everything you want her to be brave enough to do, she goes and does which is so rewarding for the reader. The irony of Kitty being such a religious vegan whilst also being a literal serial killer only made me love her more.
Kitty's friends (Tor and Maisie) are also so much fun and inject so much joy and comic relief into the novel. They really work well together and help offset some of the more serious moments in this book. I also was a big fan of Kitty's boyfriend, Charlie. He is such a golden retriever boyfriend which was such a nice contrast to Kitty's deviousness. Another character who I feel gave so much to the book was Antoinette. She was equal parts entertaining, riveting and maybe mentally unstable (?) but she had so much depth and the puzzle of her motives was so fun to try and work out.
The nemesis in this novel, Blaze Bundy, is also written so irritatingly well. I hated him and saw so many social media archetypes *cough cough, Andrew Tate* in his character that felt jarringly real and spoke so well to some of misogynist men who get promoted to influencer status in our society.
The whole premise and outline of this read felt fresh and modern. There was a nice intersection between the classic crime plot with the integration of social media and technology at the heart of the plot. Not only was the plot deliciously twisty, with plot twist after plot twist, it was completely unpredictable and had me at the edge of my seat and completely hooked. One of my favourite moments in the book, which was absolutely hilarious, was when Kitty is brainstorming and plotting murder but is coming up with arguably some of the funniest and silliest ideas. I won't go into much more detail than that, as to not spoil the best scene in my opinion, but it really was an entertaining moment that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I also want to take a moment to highlight some of my favourite moments where Brent's wording was fantastic. One notable example was 'spreading Bundy's fucked up views like an antiobiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhoea', I particularly enjoyed that one. I also enjoyed 'emotionally constipated father' and when she referred to Charlie as her 'own personal Judas'
The only plot point I wasn't super happy about was the grey area when it comes to infidelity. One of the characters behaves in a way that I would personally recognise as cheating but it is kind of swept over and brushed under the rug in the book which I felt was a little unsatisfactory. This book would get a 5/5 if it wasn't for this point and there were also several typos which kind of ruined it for me a little.
