The story had a lot of promise. The FMC was amazing but there were a few tropes that should have been outlined before reading. There were just too many things that rubbed me the wrong way.

While this book did leave a thought provoking impact on me, I found it to be longer than it should have been. I was not fond of the writing style of this book, which ultimately left me to not be fully engaged while reading it. Overall, I found this to be a reasonable read.
The book Resilient: She Will Not Be Defeated is a fictional story about a young lady named Charly Sawyer. She had a lot of things that happened to her negatively in her past, leaving her to not trust guys. She grew up in a foster care system, which left her having turmoils about her future. She ends up having feelings for a guy at a motorcycle club. However, she is now faced with betrayal again in her life and needs to leave.
Thank you to NetGalley for this copy of this book in exchange for my honest review! I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.

I recently discovered that I love New Adult fiction. Although it's fictional, it feels more realistic. I enjoyed the characters and the excitement. You won't be disappointed with this book.

Charly works at a bar owned by a motorcycle club and for the most part, they don’t know anything about her. The more they find out about her they want to help and protect her but she will not give up the power that she has worked hard to find. A very good book.

Emotional, intense, complex, angsty, and not what you are expecting. Tragedy, suspense, betrayal, lies, and unexpected love all come together in a complex and well written story that will keep you hooked to the end.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this book. I didn't expect it to be as good as this! Kahlani B. Steele did an excellent job writing the characters and the plot line of the story. I could not put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this one for the romance readers out there. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you Net Galley ARC, Books go social, and Kahlani B. Steele.

I always like to see how an author portrays a character that grew up in foster care. I was a foster parent for a year and this subject interests me. I think Steele did the book's MC justice. The story moved at an exciting pace with a lot of action. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

All I can manage is WOAH,
I did not expect for this book to be this good.
Perfectly written, I loved this so much!!!!

Kahlani B. Steele delivers a gritty, emotional, and multi-layered story in Resilient: She Will Not Be Defeated. This motorcycle club (MC) romance isn’t just a tale of adrenaline-fueled danger and forbidden love—it’s a deep dive into resilience, strength, and the power of a woman navigating a world often designed to break her.
The book’s greatest strength lies in its realistic and relatable main character (MC). Steele crafts a protagonist who feels authentic, balancing vulnerability with undeniable strength. Her journey is raw, inspiring, and emotionally charged, pulling readers into a whirlwind of betrayal, redemption, and personal growth.
The spice level in this novel is undeniably high, and Steele masterfully blends passion with tension to create an immersive experience. The romance is as intense as the action, giving readers the heart-pounding moments they crave in a great MC novel. Fans of Sons of Anarchy will feel right at home with the atmosphere, camaraderie, and danger that permeate the story.
What truly sets Resilient apart is its layered narrative. Steele doesn’t settle for a linear plot but instead weaves in subplots and character dynamics that add depth and complexity. Themes of loyalty, revenge, and self-discovery are seamlessly interwoven, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.
For fans of the genre or anyone looking for a well-rounded, spicy read with a strong, dynamic heroine, Resilient: She Will Not Be Defeated is a must. Kahlani B. Steele has penned a standout novel that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.
