Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to like this one so much, but I was sadly disappointed by it. the plot was not very interesting, the characters annoyed me, and the problem was ambiguous and so long winded. one conversation and the whole book wouldn’t need to be written.

This book was OK. It is book 3 out of a three series standalone series. I think it would be nice to read the other two books and see how they connect, but I do not feel as though I was missing a ton of context from not reading the other two books. It was a bit cheesy and cliché.
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

Technically I think I’d give this 3.5 stars.
There were parts I really liked. I liked the characters, the whole premise of the contract and how they did in fact love each other (and especially when it unfolds of how long they have loved each other).
What was a bit harder to like was the huge cast of characters. So many people and stories to keep track of. The way the book jumps back and forth in the dual timelines is a lot and all the stories going on while this one is happening is just a lot. Granted this is book 3, I believe, so many of the characters and events are familiar. But it is just lot of people and a lot of other stories other than the main one.
