Eleven for Danger by Angus MacVicar is set in pre-WWII England/Scotland. I always find the pre-war setting intriguing.; however, this novel does not work so well. Alistair Campbell is a journalist and a bachelor who embarks on a cruise where he meets Jean Lyle.
The cruise hits a storm, and so does the story.
