Description

“Angus MacVicar runs close to John Buchan as a supreme spinner of an enthralling yarn.”Daily Express

Alastair Campbell, Glasgow-based journalist and bachelor, has a cruise planned along the West Coast of Scotland.

When he drops anchor in Tobermory Bay, his yacht – the Yellowhammer – gets caught in a storm and in a chance encounter, meets a young Londoner named Jean Lyle.

She is an artist and seems utterly unattainable and aloof, but lovely nonetheless, and it doesn’t take long for Alastair to become utterly mesmerised by her.

When she asks to be taken out on the yacht things do not go to plan and they soon find themselves stranded on the remote island of Suna – a beautiful and ancient place of Hebridean legend.

Whilst exploring the Highlands, they initially believe the island is deserted.

However, when they spot two ominous figures they quickly flee.

Whilst sailing away, they look back to see a man with a gun under his arm, guarding the island and whatever secrets are hidden there…

After leaving Tobermory, Alastair hires the Yellowhammer out to a customer who is looking forward to sailing around Northern Ireland.

But when the man turns up murdered, Alastair suspects the killers made a mistake and wonders who the intended victim was.

When Jean sends a mysterious letter containing information that might be relevant to the strange goings on at Suna, the two soon find themselves reunited in an attempt to solve the mystery.

Their investigations quickly escalate and they soon find themselves trapped in a vicious trail of revenge, which could easily prove fatal.

And with Alastair only just realising the depths of his feelings towards Jean, is it all too little too late?

Eleven for Danger is a thrilling tale of mystery, murder and romance.
