Description
True love is never far away…
Kathryn Marshall lives the perfect London life.
Working as a primary school supply teacher and dating the gorgeous restaurateur Nick, Kathryn’s life couldn’t get any better.
Little does she know that all of that is about to change.
Kathryn’s mother, Sarah, is swapping the city for the countryside to start a new job as a live in housekeeper to an elderly couple.
With her mother gone, Kathryn needs Nick’s support more than ever. So when she catches him in a more than compromising situation with head waitress Anna, Kathryn’s world comes crashing down.
Heartbroken, she calls her mother, only to discover that Sarah never made it to Bulbury Knap, the estate where she is supposed to be starting work.
With nothing keeping her in London, Kathryn drives out to the country, where she learns her mother has been in a car accident, suffering bruises and a broken ankle.
It is there that she meets the lovely Sir Edwin and Lady Hewson and it soon becomes clear that they are in desperate need of help.
Wanting to save her mother’s job, Kathryn pitches in, much to the anger of Sir Edwin’s great nephew, Andrew.
But Michael Carey, the handsome groundskeeper, is quite pleased to have her around.
As the two work together, they start to bring life and love back to Bulbury Knap.
Yet with Andrew forever lurking in the shadows, will Kathryn’s happily ever after be over before it’s even begun?
The Way of the Heart is a delightful romance about being given a second chance to shine.
