Its about an English woman who fallen in love with a Korean-American guy. It's a fascinating and I'm quite love it though I have to admit Maddison is such an annoying women, very stubborn and same goes to Mark, a charming guy, with an attitude that's hard to understand and both of them, somehow, has down to chaotic because of they hardly want to accept that they both love each other.
Both of the character in this novel has definitely annoy me to the max, that I just want to scream to the both of them, luckily, Seung Hee has made it to say what they know. Hence, the ending was what I want it to be and I'm satisfied over it.
I think the author has make a great job, because, she has made me want to glue to her novel, to know what, how, why, when, all of it. Thank you for making a great writing! This is my first time reading Anna Premoli's writing and I quite amazed of her writing.
I use to read a lot of chick lit and stopped because it was all becoming too much. The characters were over the top. While this one is not amazing, it is cute - I like the combination of "work" with romance and I just wish the main characters were more believable.
I really liked You Drive Me Crazy by new to me author Anna Premoli. This is a fun story and quite different from many of the romances I have read. The characters are well-defined, the plot is engaging, and with the exception of a few words, the writing is easy to understand. If you are a fan of the enemies to lovers trope, then you will definitely enjoy this gem.
Londoner Maddison Johnson is an investment banker that prefers to stay in the background. Her mother drives her crazy and her best friend Jane is her rock. She knew it was a long-shot to be approved for the New York City transfer, but she remained very hopeful. Madison was quite surprised to find out that she was being temporarily relocated to Seoul, Korea. Truly avoiding her new circumstances, she makes no effort to learn the Korean language or anything about Korean culture. Mark Kim, Maddison's new boss, is insufferable most of the time, however, she learns to deal with his warped sense of humor and need to always get the last word in. They find each other very attractive, and overtime, they let down their barriers and fall in love.
Maddison and Mark challenge each other at every opportunity. They banter constantly, and the entire office can feel the negativity when they are not getting along. Their relationship is complicated, due to the boss and subordinate relationship. The author does a great job of building their desire for each other, so when they finally sleep together, the passion is amazing. Coping with their actions and feelings is a brand new experience for the two of them. Overall, this is an entertaining romance and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Premoli.
